We came here with our toddler who has very nervous about getting her haircut. We walked and were welcomed by the friendly staff who let her pick which chair she wanted to sit in out of the fun car and dino options. This immediately put our toddler more at ease. They had a tv with a movie playing to help distract them and Elisa was so fast at the actual haircut that it was a breeze. She then asked if she wanted a braid and the bow and my daughter loved it all. They also give certificates with a lock of hair for first time haircuts. Elisa is so amazing as is anyone we have gotten. Super kid friendly establishment. My little one loves driving the fire truck and watching a Disney movie while getting his hair cut. They do an incredible job styling with product. Easy to make appointments online; although you have to book them out quite far and they don't give you a predicted book out date when you pay. I need to keep better track of our frequency/ how long a cut lasts. It is pricier but my husband says it's close to what his costs and obviously they have harder clients that wiggle and need the scissors and razor etc. read more

We've been here for my oldest son (19 months) twice now and had a great experience! The bad reviews and photos of this place really scared me away initially but I just couldn't beat the convenience of location as it's only 5 minutes from our home. With that being said, I extensively read the reviews for this salon before deciding to book an appointment with Elisa (and as far as I'm concerned we won't book with anyone else). She's the only one I trust based on reviewers experiences with the other stylists. As everyone has mentioned, Elisa is great! Patient, kind, and just amazing with kids (even when they may be a little scared like my son). She really seems to know what she's doing and love what she does! Only rated 4 stars because I wish I could just book with anyone in the salon and trust they would do a good job-- But because of reviews I just don't have that kind of faith in the business as a whole. read more

We had a horrible experience here. My five-year-old son didn't want anything fancy, just a typical little boy cut. When he was done, it was slicked down to the right, which my son's hair doesn't do naturally. I had a few questions about the part and how it looked around the ears, but I could tell the stylist was getting frustrated with my questions. By the time we got home, his hair had dried and it was horrific. Huge scissor marks in the side of his head where chunks had been taken out. It was dead straight across his forehead, so he looked like Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber. It was uneven in the back. When my seven-year old got home from school, he said, "You got a BAD haircut!" So we went back the next day, and the stylist was apologetic. She buzzed the sides to make it not chunky like it was, and evened out the back. But the front was still bad and the top had tufts of hair puffing out. My husband is currently buzzing my son's hair. I paid $31.00 plus tip for a home buzz cut. Thoroughly disappointing. read more

We are going on vacation and booked last minute at this salon when our regular salon was completely booked. Husband and son arrived on time and even sat for a couple of minutes past appt time. Was a rush job, stylist didn't even spend 10mins on his hair out of a 20min appt slot. Upon 1st inspection I thought he had crooked bangs but no the stylist actually gave him a bowl cut like Jim Carey (not uncommon according to other google reviews) Called prior to closing on the same day to see if they could go back and have it corrected and couldn't get through. Left a vm and still have yet to hear back. Didn't get the name of the stylist he went to unfortunately. Based off of reviews on google and their defensive responses arguing with customers. We visited Jack & Jill's for my sons very first haircut. Let me tell you I am a first time mom and every little thing is extremely momentous and important to me. I made a same day appointment online We came in and got the First Haircut with Certificate service. Elisa was there and immediately I felt welcomed. I couldn't quite articulate what I wanted since I've never had to describe a little boy's haircut. She gave him the cutest cut and it's because of her energy, patience, and work that we came back. Prices are definitely pricer than some places but I do not mind only because I know I can expect patience for my little guy and smiling faces every time I walk through that door. read more

Scheduled my son's first hair cut online, it was very easy & received a confirmation email of scheduling, then a reminder the day before. Our appointment was with Elisa, and she did great. Little man cried majority of his appointment. She talked with him, showed him different tools she was using. Was very patient with him. And handled it great when he turned his head every 10 seconds. He looks super cute! It was as good of a first experience as I think he could have had. My only complaint is my 1 year old now looks 12 and my first time mom heart can't handle it. read more

I usually like this place and have been bringing my kid there for years. It wasn't that big of a deal that the stylist today wasn't very sensitive when my kid was crying because of the tangles in her hair. Detangling is going to hurt. What was frustrating was paying full price for a service (cut, mini-style, glitter) and only getting part of the service (the cut) because "it's only 20 minutes" for the appointment and there wasn't enough time. The service should then clearly state "cut, mini-style, glitter or whatever we can get done in 20 minutes". Super disappointing. read more

I found a pricey gift certificate given to my daughter that expired a few days ago (doh!). It has the addresses for all 3 salons on it. I called the Glendale location to ask if I could use it this week and they said absolutely. I gave them the info and they said since it was issued at Park Meadows I could only use it there. I called Park Meadows and they said since it had expired a few days ago they would not redeem any of it. I was looking forward to finding a salon for my daughter as a routine special treat. I will not be considering Jack & Jill Park Meadows as they couldn't even give me a few days leeway to try out their salon. read more

So today was our sons first haircut and we wanted it to be very special. We looked on line and read the reviews and this experience did not disappoint. DJ was placed in a Jeep chair and was a little nervous at first and cried a little. Jenny, the hair stylist was amazing along with the rest of the staff. His hair was cut quickly and he has never looked better as a toddler!!! We were given a locket, certificate and smiles all around. What a great salon, and so good with the children. First off, we noticed this place does haircuts like McDonalds gives out sandwiches...fast (so it felt quite rushed). Secondly, this was our son's first cut and they did not even bother to clean the hair off his face until my husband asked them to do so at which point they used the blow dryer to do a partial clean. They only have a 10 minute late policy which is hard to sometimes meet with small children. Finally, it is pricey but we thought it would be worth it with the service but unfortunately it wasn't the case. The staff was friendly but the cut was below average. Additionally, they claim to give $3 off for an excellent review which we found at our visit. I personally find this reduces the value of a good and honest review, and misleads the customer. I will now have to look for another place for the next cut. read more

We have come in here for a couple of appointments and was less than satisfied both times. Im sorry I just dont believe you can run a trendy hair salon for kids and not be happy, bubbily and friendly with the kids who come in as well as their parents. I arrived about 10 minutes late to my daughter's appointment b/c I had trouble finding the salon. It is in an area I am unfamiliar with and the building is kind-of tricky. Make sure that you leave early enough to find it. I entered through the wrong salon and walked through some sort of dining area to get to Jack and Jill. The place is really cute and my daughter was very excited. I also noticed that there were a bunch of bows and products there. I was glad to see that because I wanted to buy her some bows and some sort of hair conditioner and de-tangler. Well, the woman who was behind the desk told me that we were too late for a haircut and had only 9 minutes left in the appointment. She said that we could only cut her bangs due to my tardiness. She really lacked sympathy, did not give me eye contact, and did not look at my daughter to notice that she's got so little hair that the appointment couldn't even take 10 minutes. Disappointed, we left. I really wish that the woman had been a bit more sympathetic and shown some better customer service and kindness, especially because my daughter would have really enjoyed the salon and choosing a few new bows. We found ourselves back in the salon on the other side of the building, where my daughter got a haircut on our way back to the car. It took about 7 minutes, they even gave her a lollipop and their price was WAY better than Jack and Jill. She looks great. They were very sympathetic. I will go back to the other salon for sure... but not Jack and Jill. read more

This was our first experience with this kids salon and with my daughter getting a haircut. They were able to get us in a pinch. My daughter is shy and generally won't allow anyone to touch her. They did a great job achieving a great cut and did this amazing updo hairstyle after. They even put spray glitter on her hair. All the added touches make this place awesome! My two year old son was already sitting on the chair, with the apron on and the stylist had scissors in her hands. She made us get up and told us we had to wait for the next available stylist, with no Estimate wait time because their system didn't work to show that my apt was scheduled. The other people that came after us couldn't wait, but we had to wait again because their system screwed up. Mind you I took both of my kids to this salon multiple times. Jack and Jill kids hair salon in Lonetree. We had been customers for almost 10 years and wow has this past 12 months have been the WORST. 2 recent situations for you to read about! Their entire staff has turned over from stylists to front reception. We used to have Julie ( manager) do my kids hair for maybe 5+ years and now she is gone, all the ladies who were there for years are all gone!! I made two appts for kids manis and pedis (2 weeks prior) and called to confirm however they only confirm one child and saw that "management" moved my other child's appt to a different day. Had I shown up for two kids to get their appts done, I would have had one in tears due to THEIR mess-up! I was told, a new stylist just quit, so they moved appts around since they have only 1 stylist. Cancelled that appt. Again this isn't the local staff making these errors its the owners/management the local people are clearing up the mess!!!! Then called to confirm an up-do for the following day dance recital and they don't even have this on their schedule, which I booked 3 weeks earlier, so now I have no up-do for this child. I wont go back and I hope they figure their stuff out before they loose all their good tenured customers who have seen a huge decline over the last 12 months. read more

Beyond disappointed in the stylist and not knowing the difference in a trim and chopping her hair. I went here for the first time today. It was the only children's salon with good reviews so I drove the extra miles to check it out. It is really cute. The kids sit in cars and motorcycles to get their hair cut. Haley did my little guys hair and did an awesome job. I am so glad I did not try to do this at home ;) It is trickier than one would think. This place is excellent! The woman that cut my child's hair was very friendly and gave her a cute, even trim. My daughter loved getting the prizes in the end and I was very pleased with the cheap price. I'm always hesitant where to take her because my experiences through Super Cuts and Great Clips has been awful (rushed job, uneven horrible haircuts). Jack and Jill was the complete opposite. We came here 2 weeks ago on a Saturday to get my 6 year old daughters ears pierced. They said they usually have 2 ear piercers on site on the weekends so they can pierce together at the same time. They only had 1 the weekend we went, which was fine. We walked in and they took us back to the back area. It was super crowded, kids crying, a birthday party going on with Karaoke right where the ear piercing chair is, kids singing to loud music, and kids running everywhere. She sat us down and let my daughter pick out her earrings, explained what would happen, then marked her ears. I trusted her to know where to put the marks, and I checked them before and thought they looked fine? Until she pierced one side off her mark! My husband and I were checking her ears in the car afterwards and agreed that her right ear piercing was off centered. We went home to get a second opinion and everyone agreed. We called them back and they said to take that earring out and to come get it re-pierced. My daughter was so scared to go back and do it again, she was crying. We finally convinced her and she did great getting it fixed. But you can clearly see she missed her mark and didn't pierce it where she marked it! She never apologized, just made up some excuse that my daughters ears are unsymmetrical; which, everyone's are. That doesn't mean you pierce them off center from each other. They should look even to each other when looking at both ears together. We are not happy for this experience and would never go back here for ear piercing! They are rushed and don't take time to get it right. read more
