I disagree with any review about this place, though I have not read them all (there is only one at this point) It is based exclusively on principal though They forgot to call us when our dry-cleaning was done so we did not know for quite a few days if they had done it But for everything that we got (multiple jackets and shirts and everything) it was only $14. Which is the cheapest ever And they did an amazing job And fixed all of my buttons without asking on my vintage paisley shirts. I love them. read more

On May 7 we buried our son. On May 6 at 8:00 AM I left my suit to be cleaned and pressed. I was promised the suit would be ready at 5:00 that afternoon. That did not happen. I will say do not use this place. They never starch my shirts the way I like them. The people who do the work do not do great work In starching anything. And try to tell it's the material. It's cheaper just to get a bottle of sta Flo and do it your self. And I swear my jeans shrink every time they do it and just keep adding starch on and on and never get rid of the old. Been using this location for years and never had a problem. Clothes are usually ready after 6pm the following day, and the prices are comparable with any dry cleaner in Austin as far as I know. I was told upon drop off that I would be texted when my item was ready, over a week later no notification. I called, when I asked if my item was ready the girl rudely said "well did you get a text?" I said "no I dropped off 1 item over a week ago so surely it's finished"... she asked for my info and sure enough, it was ready. Any interaction I had with her she was extremely rude and short. To top it off, one blouse to be dry cleaned was $17! Absolutely outrageous! Due to the very poor customer service and price of this place, I won't be coming back. I absolutely did not want to even leave a star in, but you have to with Yelp. Anyway, I WARN YOU! DO NOT USE JACK BROWN CLEANERS IN BUDA, Texas!!!!!! My husband used them a couple of times for his dress shirts, so I figured why not use them for my coat. This coat although was a very rare and expensive coat that I could not buy anymore in store or online and my favorite coat. I pretty much deemed it as priceless. I stupidly entrusted this coat to this location! When my husband went to inquire and pick up my coat, the manager Roxanne told him that the coat had been lost! I was livid! Immediately I felt it was an inside job. I mean come on, nice coat! I asked her if they could provide me a clothing trail, time frame , who dealt with it first and where it went later, but she couldn't give me that information again pretty suspect! Roxanne told me that she would do her best to look for the coat and research, I was not in belief of that and seriously suspected theft involved. I expressed to her that this coat you can no longer buy in general what am I supposed to do now? She told me that if they cannot find it. That I'd have to make a claim. I was so upset hearing that and still am, because regardless of what I paid for the coat, I still can't get my coat back! All that being said, she tells me that I'd have to give them a receipt of my coat, I told her that I threw it away. I don't keep my receipts for what I purchase unless I feel I may return it. But I loved this coat and threw it away, so unless I provide a receipt they will just look at anything that looks remotely close to my coat online and pretty much would low ball me on what I paid initially. Initially this coat was pretty expensive and I personally felt it was now worth more because of the rarity of it, so I put in a fair claim to what I felt it was worth, especially for all the BS I have gone through, Roxanne tells me that the owner who she cannot provide me any information to call him directly which I found very odd, says that any claim over 250 would need a receipt. They kept on giving me the runaround, as this owner obviously does not want to take any accountability or responsibility for what has happened to his customer! Roxanne tells me that it is not an inside job and that her employees have worked with them for many years and would not do anything like that. (Rolling of my eyes) Really than where the hell is my coat? She believes it got lost in translation and a customer had maybe got it by mistakenly and is holding onto it. SMH! BS! So I provided them a receipt from the store where I purchased it , and iRoxanne is now telling me that the owner/ DM will now go off by what he feels the coat is worth to him and not what my receipt says, because my dates when I purchased and what I told them were not coinciding Huh?!!! What?! I don't damn remember exactly when I bought it to the date. I put an approximate date! Also what I initially claimed doesn't coincide with the receipt. Well excuse me if I was ill informed about how I was supposed to do a claim through this company. When I as a customer believed this lost coat was now worth more to me for its rarity and all the trouble and stress I went through! Hell yeah do I believe it's worth a lot more! So why are you the ones who supposedly lost my coat questioning my integrity?! and now low balling me?! ABSOLUTE SCUMBAGS!!! NEVER USE JACK BROWN CLEANERS! Especially in Buda!!!! Unless you want your clothes stolen from under you! Shady AF! And P.S. tried emailing and contacting anyone at their contact email and nobody has returned any information or response! They don't have a corporate or anyone higher you can contact. I brought in a cashmere sweater to your Buda location to have it dry cleaned on Nov. 11th, I got the sweater home and immediately packed it in my carry-on for my vacation. I went to pick them up this morning to NO discount at all. I had a horrible experience at Rebel Cleaners in Buda which I wrote a review about if you are debating on a place to go. I took my blouse into Jack Brown cleaners after Rebel Cleaners refused to repair damage they had done. The owner of RC has no sense of respect for customer service apparently. When I went into JB cleaners and mentioned what a horrific experience I had they offered me their service at no charge. Not only did JB repair the damage another cleaners had done, I didn't pay a penny. Such a sweet and thoughtful lady behind the counter. I told her they would have my business for life. Every time I have ever walked into this place the employees don't seem like they even want to be there. They hardly say anything to you. I have been there a few times when they never said a word to me and acted like I was bothering them when I came to drop off my items. This last time I asked for 8 shirts to be dry cleaned but they laundered 4 them instead the other 4 they had dry cleaned because they noticed they were silk shirts. That's nice but why wasn't I called about that to double check the whole order was right or not? Found out the laundered items were damaged when we went to pick them up. Was on the phone for weeks with the owner in which he said that we asked for the "special price" for the laundry and didn't ask for dry cleaning. I know what I asked for the lady behind the counter hardly said 2 words to me. She said "hi" I said "I have 8 items to be dry cleaned" she said "okay thanks." The owner was VERY rude to me over the phone when trying to settle this. He decided not to replace what they damaged and from the way he talked it didn't sound like he was going to do so EVER! Sounded like he would listen to the complaint and that was it! Never going back here again and I wouldn't suggest anyone to do so as well. read more

I've been going to jack brown cleaners for about 4 years in Austin now. I recently moved to Buda, and tried this location. I dropped off 7 denim jeans to get dry cleaned and starched on Jan. 26th at 3:30pm. I specifically and repeatedly told the lady that I didn't want a middle crease, but a flat press. When I came to pick them up, low and behold they had a middle crease. I didn't notice until after I paid. So now I paid for something I specifically said that I didn't want. When I told the same lady I dropped the jeans off to, she basically said that it's not their fault and all they can do is send them back. But once they have the crease in, the imprint doesn't come out. Even after being repressed. Plus that would mean I would have to take time to come back and pick up again. When I asked if I could speak to the manager, she said "She don't get back until Monday, and she's just going to tell you the same thing." read more
