Once we were finally on our way home we realized they didn't give us our mozzarella sticks, coming back around after already waiting 20+ minutes, we ended up being at this location for an hour. We got 5 things. A sandwich, 3 piece sticks, chicken nuggets, fries, and mozzarella sticks. With the quality of the food and price no one should ever be waiting this long. I went through the drive-thru this morning to get a quick breakfast. In my opinion, a drive-thru at a fast food restaurant should be almost a quick in and out service. Now I know I can't blame the employees for a customer with a big order, which is exactly what a family in a mini van, right in front of me, did. This had me and a bunch of other customers waiting for probably 10 minutes. I even noticed a customer come around the corner to take a peek of the hold up. The least the employee, at the window, could've done was have this customer park their vehicle at the front so the line could keep flowing. Let another employee take care of their order. A whole star for being open 24 hours, and I've come by more than once at 3am. However, even at peak dinner hours, this Jack in the Box location is so consistently mediocre. I've never gotten fries that were warmed through, the sandwiches are typically about as well assembled as a Jenga tower after 29 turns, and the famous hard tacos, while consistent and inoffensive in flavor, are always simultaneously stale and soggy. Still, you don't come to Jack In the Box for 5 star cooking, you come for a $6 sandwich combo at 3am, the ability to be in and out in 3 minutes flat, and maybe to grab some tacos that won't make you sick the next morning. read more

I cannot believe I am writing a review for Jack in the Box. I am not really a fan. Not a fast food person typically at all. My college roomie worked there and it was not a happy place for her. Yes ok, that was years ago. I am not sure how this happened but my daughter is into it. She likes the commercials. Jack is funny, she said. Two days in a row we were by here when she was hungry and I caved because, well, I was tired. We hit the drive through. Fast, not super friendly but not rude either. I looked past the worker and noticed that it looked clean in the kitchen and the dining room. The first visit she had a buttery swiss bacon burger, curly fries, and a raspberry iced tea. It was greasy salty deliciousness. I had a bite. We did not get a picture. She ate it before I could snap it. My diet soda was fine. I tried a hyped "food truck pork belly BLT." The thick bacon was just not cooked enough and the tomato was anemic as was the lettuce and the roll. It did not match its glossy photo. Meh. Today Princess got another raspberry iced tea and a Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich. Without fries it was over $8. If she had gotten a combo it wouldha been cheaper by about 80 cents. Isn't there something wrong with that? She liked the chicken better. Less greasy. I had a bite. It is not healthy but I admit the lettuce was extra good. This time her tomato was red and not bad. I got to the ordering mic at 12:54 and the worker tells me sorry we're closed. I reply that the sign says they close at 1 and it's not 1 yet. He informs me that they close 10 min early. After hours, they staff this place with people who only know a few words of English. It makes it very hard to get what you need. I asked for mustard but I had to associate with the toppings on my burger before he knew what I meant. Then I wanted marinara sauce for my cheese sticks and he just said "no". I had to associate that with what goes on spaghetti or pizza. then he said "oh" and looked around for a while. He gave me a container but it was filled with hot sauce. I said this isn't it to which he said "hot sauce?". It was super frustrating and I just asked for a refund. I used to take my complaints directly to Jack In The Box because they were very good at responding. Ever since they made the app, that is not longer the case. I have responded to zero issues I have raised. I am never a fan of franchises, owner/operates, contractor type establishments because there is such a huge disconnect from what the parent company advertises and what you actually experience as a customer. This place also has yet to fix their drive thru box to see what you are ordering or fix the lights in/around the drive thru. Hay, its fast food folks calm down! I am not a giant drive through hitter BUT I was happy the other day when I wanted something horrible to eat. Horrible for me, that is... I am not a fan of most of their menu, with the exception of their chocolate shakes BUT I do enjoy their croissant sandwiches. They are small and tasty. Get a combo with an OJ and a hashbrown. As far as drive through hashbrowns go - these were actually one of the better ones I have had! And, for a full drive through window it was not that tragic to get in and out. I had the worst experience here. I took my children swimming and afterwards they wanted to come here. So my boyfriend went in and ordered. 20 minutes later he says it's going to be a little bit of a wait. Another 10 minutes go by my kids are asleep now. Don't know what's with all the negative reviews for this place, I certainly think this is well worth the visit since they do not have this joint back at Virignia. How I heard about this franchise is actually how a lot of people had gotten sick during one period of time back in the day, but I'm sure they have since tidied up the place. I ordered the sourdough jacks meal. Curly fries? YES please! It was well seasoned and crispy. Sourdough jack? Well, I don't think it was much of a sourdough bread but more so a sourdough shaped toast, but it was still delicious to me! The burger was juicy and rest of the components complimented the patty pretty well. It didn't feel overly greasy but I do feel a slightly interesting aftertaste in my mouth.
