I've already recommended them to someone for catering, too, so that says a lot about our first impression! My husband got the carne asada tacos and loved them, and I got the wet burrito with birria. The portions were great, all the food tasted amazing, and it was presented nicely despite being from a food truck and carried back to our apartment on foot, impressive! Cozy hole in the wall with only 5 parking spots and about 7 booths inside that will make your experience even better. This restaurant belongs to the brother of the larger "Taquería Hermanos Ochoa" on 10th. Me and my family love this place because of the quality of the food. As Mexicans it's hard to find good quality Mexican food yet below there are a couple of recommendations. By mistake we ordered the #10 Quesadilla ($12 USD) for my kids and when I tasted it, the flavor BLEW my mind. The huge corn tortillas are hand made and fresh and this delicious dish comes with meat inside, either chicken, steak or trompo. We got steak and we HIGHLY recommend it. Although my first choice isn't tacos (A racist ex-teammate of mine would disagree), one of my sons ordered the Carne Asada tacos (#1 in the menu, $2 USD each) and I swapped one for an enchilada from my Combo #4 ($12 USD with enchiladas and tacos). At that moment I realized that precious stomach space had been wasted, since I could have eaten Carne Asada tacos or just Quesadilla all the time. Desserts are good but not their strength, although you might be lured by the glowing light of the fridge. Even though they're a bit understaffed and you'll have to wait a bit like with all god things that require patience, their service is great, full of care and sprinkled with a lot of American Dream. You know a restaurant is authentic when there's no English on the menu. The menu is entirely in Spanish with giant photos of each dish plastered on the wall behind the cashier. Even if you don't know a single word of Spanish, just point at what you like and it'll be delicious. PSA -- The tacos are $1.50 each! I love how they use 1 tortilla instead of 2 so you can taste more of the meat. Speaking of meat, each taco is packed with delicious and savory meat. It's then topped with a mountain of cilantro and bits of onion. My personal favorite are the nachos! The chips are still crispy and warm while still underneath a mountain of meat, beans, cheese, lettuce and pico de gallo. They add guacamole and sour cream on the side so it can be evenly distributed(just how I like it). For $6, it's definitely super filling! Don't be afraid to approach this place as it's the exact definition of a hole in wall. It's look run down and probably not the cleanest place, but it has bomb food that you'll always come back for. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Food was TERRIBLE, customer service was horrendous. For a Mexican restaurant, the atmosphere left much to be desired. A waitress YELLED and argued with my parents, she told them "if you don't like the food here, don't come back." We were not looking for a confrontation, she came out and followed my parents to tell them off, all for some salsas that weren't even good. So so disappointed and furious. " Fresh, warm handmade fried masa cakes stuffed. literally stuffed, with generous helpings of beautifully seasoned meat, beans,lettuce. tomato, sour cream,multiple slices of fresh avocadoand crumnbled queso fresco all come together create a two handeded entree sandwich. delicious and satisfying. This used to be our goto spot for delivery in Hillsboro. Within the last year the quality has gone down hill. Very stingy with salsas, my suegro complains every time and blames it on me! My son used to rave over the tamales and now he asks why there's no meat in them. There's been times they send grilled jalapeños and onions, but most recently not the case. The flavor of these were good but the texture was a little tough. Asada was a little underseasoned but the Birria had some good texture and flavor. Under the $2 mark is always a good thing for tacos. I ordered online to be delivered via Grubhub. I ordered a Carne Asada burrito with specific instructions to not put rice in the burrito but to include cheese and sour cream. I was super bummed to bite into it only to find it was stacked with bland mushy yellow rice and not an ounce of sour cream to be found. I pulled it apart and did the best I could to scrape the rice out. All in all, the burrito was super forgettable. I also ordered 2 queso tacos with birria. Took my husband for a field trip on Sunday. I'm a fan. He's slowly catching up. I find it difficult to order here because the menu is on the wall and consists of pictures and Spanish titles. The problem with that is, the pictures all look good and make it difficult to decide what to order and the titles don't describe the content, and if they did, I wouldn't understand it anyway because I don't speak Spanish. I ordered the #16 because it looked like it contained a little bit of everything, and it did. 2 crunchy chicken tacos, 3 smothered soft tacos, two sizable pieces of Carne Asada and one Chile Relleno. All delicious, in my humble opinion, and all for the bargain price of $10! Husband got something with a bunch of tacos. All were tasty. His was only $6, also a STEAL for the quantity and quality of food we were served. We shared the half-liter coke in a glass bottle, cause it was awesome. The ambiance is divey. One of the best tacos in Portland (Hillsboro) and this is coming from somoene who lived in San Diego for 4 years! My review is only for tacos since I've never tried anything else on the menu. I've tried the carne asada, al pastor, pollo and al pastor is definitely the winner. Even though the inside of this place is tiny and basic (and no I don't mean basic in the slang term, Ew). There's nothing special about the building itself. It's just your typical hole in the wall, Mexican food restaurant. That being said, the food is outstanding. I've said it's hard to screw up mexican food, but I've been wrong. This place, however, does it right. Their tacos are authentic with the onions, cilantro, on corn tortillas. The beans and rice are pretty on point. I usually get asada and I've never been disappointed. Recently I got chicken for my torta and wow! I was so impressed. It was in a red sauce, kind of spicy, and just tender and flavorful. Not to mention it's as big as my face for 6 bucks! You can't even touch that, MC Hammer status. I gave this place four stars and not five because the location is not the best and if you're looking for fine dining, it's not here. If you're just looking for BOMB Mexican food, then definitely check them out. read more
