After leaving another restaurant hungry because I couldn't enjoy the food I decided to stop by Jack in the Box to try the new Philly cheesesteak meal. I ordered the sandwich with curly fries and a drink, along with three egg rolls on the side. Unfortunately, the egg rolls were the only items actually hot and edible. The worker at the window was nice, but I quickly realized why the service was so fast. The sandwich was so cold it seemed like it had already been prepared and just sitting around until someone ordered it. The sandwich felt like it had just come out of the refrigerator rather than being freshly made. I paid for extra cheese and none of it was melted. It was cold, and the overall quality was completely unacceptable. Absolutely unbelievable and disappointing. I would not recommend this location. read more

All of the allergens are on their online menu, as with many fast food places. The drive-thru was a bit hard to find here - further than you think it is. I've actually never been to a Jack in the Box, but T-Mobile was running a $1 burger coupon and this was a few minutes from home so I said why not? I downloaded their app, placed an order using Google Pay, and rolled over to the drive-thru. My order was ready at the window when I arrived and gave my name. I got a Jumbo Jack and a Large Seasoned Curly Fries. The curly fries were moderately crispy. Just a tad too soggy from being left out too long. The Jumbo Jack.. honestly, I was expecting.. bigger? I finished this burger in, I kid you not, five bites. I was really expecting a "Jumbo" there. Guess inflation has led to deflation. If I can give this place zero stars, I would. I don't understand how hard it is to take somebody's order. When trying to get my order two different people we're going back-and-forth onto the drive-through intercom. Then they start giving me attitude because they don't understand simple instructions. At one time, this was a good Jack in the Box location, but it has seriously gone downhill. We were told to pull up further ahead away from the window to wait on a Sourdough Jack and another burger with no sides or drinks ordered. Seriously? The order was not even that complicated. We were told, rather unprofessionally, that the staff was on a timer of some sort. And this ridiculous excuse was repeated again. Neither of the burgers we received was any good. The Sourdough Jack just wasn't the same usual high quality one might get. It seemed like an old burger slathered in too much sauce. The Jr. Cheeseburger a family member ordered had a small patty, with what they described as a disproportionately larger bun. It wasn't fresh and seemed as though it had been warmed in the microwave, per the family member. I would probably just avoid this location in the future. Isabella and Bryam are horrible!! I have went to location several times and it always gets worse the food either isn't fresh or it takes forever. last night I arrived at 12:40pm they don't close until 1 am. I sat in the drive through for 8 minutes I then went to the window and sat there until 12:52 no one came I seen shadows moving but no one came. I called the store phone 3 times I drove around to the drive through again thinking "maybe the person was in the restroom" I sat there no one answered yet again. I knew someone was in there because of the car sitting outside with know one in it and again mulitple shadows were seen. this location is horrible!!! im out of $20 because I ubered there for 4 tacos and a medium fry. They're sometimes closed when they're not supposed to be closed and service isn't great. The. Worst. JITB. EVER. That's even generous.. it might be the worst fast food establishment I've ever been to. Ordered on the app and said "prepare now" 10 minutes before arriving. The inside was closed so went through drive thru. No one was in line and went to the window. I waited literally 15 minutes for my order (4 tacos and a spicy loaded fry). A huge line formed behind me. Finally someone came to tell me to pull into a parking spot and they'd bring the food. I waited another 10 min and called the phone number. Someone answered and I said "I just wanted to remind you I'm parked out front waiting on my order" and she rudely said "we are working on orders" then hung up on me. Finally I saw another employee outside 5 min later and asked and he went in. 5 min later he came out and had to ask what I ordered because he doesn't see it. After wasting about 40 minutes of my evening they finally brought out my tacos and fries. I got home and it turns out my entire order was messed up. The tacos were cold and did not have any cheese or taco sauce (and they didn't give any taco sauce in the bag. They also gave me normal loaded fries and not the spicy ones. I tried calling all night to get my money back (I didn't eat the cold tacos which were missing half the ingredients) but they disconnected their phone so no one could complain. Sat in the drive thru for a full 45 minutes (I timed it) only to reach the order point and learn that reward item is not available and I can get any drink instead. Note taped to order board indicates they are out of numerous items (see photo), so if you have half of a menu available, why is the line taking so long? I'm thinking it's because like every other terribly paying fast food job, they're understaffed and I was willing to be at least nice about it. Oh nooooo Get to the window and after looking right at me, youngster in the window turns around to take another order and do a couple other things that are not bagging up food. Opens window and asks what I need? Um Gee, my order maybe? You literally spoke to me and told me you don't have one item, did you not notice the other item on said order?!? It always appealed to me, but I rarely go to Jack in the Box, unless I crave the two mentioned items above. Chicken Teriyaki Bowl combo: Chicken, white rice, broccoli, and matchstick carrots...unified with a brown teriyaki sauce. It works. It is different that the average sandwich, burger, or taco one goes to with limited time or when on the go. What makes it a combo? I really wish people would match their star ratings to their actual reviews. "They forgot my two tacos" isn't a one-star mistake, Petty Person. But I digress... Anyway, I went to this location, which is just near my job and Reyna greeted me promptly. She asked what I'd like, but I told her I was still deciding. She didn't stand there staring at me while I decided; I liked that. She just went about her other tasks. I finally decided on a Sourdough Grilled chicken (instead of my favorite thing on their menu, the Sourdough Burger) and 2 tacos (because you ALWAYS get 2 tacos when you go to Jack in the Box; if you don't, you're doing it wrong). Miss Tasha (Anita) came out from the back and asked if she could help me since Reyna was cleaning the dining room. She was a delight. I was already having a good day, but she upgraded my day and it wasn't even noon. The ice was out in the Freestyle Machine, but whatever; I know there's ice behind the counter and Miss Tasha was happy to fill my cup. Why get bent over minor issues? Anyway, my food was ready in the proper time: not too fast and not too slow. Yes, if fast food comes too quickly, I'm suspicious: mildly. They just straight-up refused to make to-go orders and had half a dozen cars sitting in the parking lot for over an hour waiting for their food. Once around 10:30 during weekday in which there was a line of about 6 cars and when I got to the spot to order with two cars behind me I was told "online orders only". Jack in the Box is one of those chains that you can take it or leave it. In my experience at least there is no such thing as a raving fan of Jack in the Box like there are fandoms for In N Out, Whataburger, and White Castle (before the teenage suburban pot smokers adopted the chain as their own after Harold & Kumar.) However to quote one of the many great lines from My Cousin Vinny, this place is "dead on balls accurate" in what they do right meow. This place is clean. The workers are nice. The workers always repeat your order back to you to ensure you get what you want, not spaghetti and blankets that you had not ordered. The bacon cheddar fries are the best thing on the menu. This thing is wonderful. It is so cheesy and bacony and friesy. There is no false advertising though. My biggest complaint is that they only have one size, unlike their other fry options where you can get the small, the medium, or the large. There is just one size and it is basically a small. It is small. Let's face it - there is not a lot in there. At least the price matches the small portion, it costs less than a bacon cheeseburger. But as good as this is from a drive-thru I want a portion size resembling something more along the lines of a large bucket or perhaps a trashbag. That's why they get three stars instead of foursies. Worst Jack-In-The-Box location in Houston! They always have a problem at this location, or always have an excuse for something not working. When I have a mobile order they claim that the system is down or they never got it, but I have a confirmation for it. If you're ordering through they drive through they won't answer the speaker for at least 5 minutes in the hopes that you will leave. If you're paying cash they'll say they're only taking card and if you're paying with card they'll say they're only taking cash. Tonight, I called the restaurant and no one answered and someone peeked their head in the drive thru window and ducked so they wouldn't be seen. I can only assume that they don't want to work... My advice is to avoid visiting this establishment on weekend mornings, when an unforgettable employee by the name of "Johnathan" is working. If Ru Paul's drag race filmed their next season inside a state prison, Johnathan would be a perfect contestant... Donning a cluster of faded facial star tattoos and a cumbersome, stress related belly that resembles the size of most women in their 6 month of pregnancy, Johnathan can typically be spotted doing anything other than following standard operating procedures. While it is not typically my style to write such a scathing review, the treatment I have received from this individual on more than one occasion has inspired me to outline his incompetence in forensic detail. As I pulled up to the drive thru this morning, I noticed the employee in question pacing around outside with cigarette in hand. Initially relieved that he wouldn't be waiting on me, I was quickly disappointed to hear his voice appear on the ordering screen. Introducing himself in a lackluster tone of voice, he took my order then told me to give him a minute while he walked back inside. After being told my total, I drove forward and handed the employee my debit card. With no sign that he'd washed his hands after his smoke break, Johnathan shlepped around like the "gayborhood" drunk, obviously battling with symptoms of a hangover. While texting on his phone, Johnathan confirmed with whomever was cooking the food that I wanted my breakfast sandwich without "carné or queso"... Mind you, I actually ordered the sandwich without beef or pork, but indeed wanted egg and cheese. After placing my sandwich and hash brown in a bag, Johnathan and an older woman who appeared from the food prep area began talking and laughing in front of the window. Johnathan proceeded to take her phone and comment on what he saw on the woman's screen while she laughed and picked her nose repeatedly. (Her mask was being worn in a chin strap fashion) Johnathan proceeded to dial a number and hold one of their phones to his face as he walked towards me with the bag of food that had been sitting on the side counter during their minute long conversation. "You had orange juice too, right," he asked while not really paying attention to my response. "Yeah and can I get a cup of ice and grape jelly," I responded as he handed me the bag. He ended his phone call while handing me the juice. After having to repeat my request, he took an empty cup and scooped ice out of a container with an ungloved hand, then proceeded to touch the inside of the lid as he placed it on top of the cup. "A cup of iiiiiice," he said mockingly while handing me the cup. "Yeah and a straw," I repeated, rememberingthe past encounters I've had with Johnathan where he neglected to give me a straw. With his mouth open and a blank stare on his face, (no mask, btw) he handed me a straw. "And grape jelly," I said. "Boy, don't yell at me," Johnathan said while bending over to reach for two packets of jelly. I put my hand out as he shoved the packets into my palm. Before I could respond, he slammed the window shut, in a final fit of sassy rage. I shook my head and said "fuck you," just as I put my car into drive. "I wish you would," he shouted as I drove off. While neither of us probably handled the situation maturely, I didn't request a refund because I didn't want to be late for work or get into an even bigger altercation. I ultimately threw the food away, fearing that I may get sick as a result of their unsanitary food handling practices. During a pandemic, this is hardly the type of service you'd expect to find, even in the fast food world. I'm quite tempted to report this establishment to some food safety agency. I write this as a warning to anyone expecting hygienic service from this employee. read more

You think with all the reviews that something would spark in someone's head saying we should staff up at night, yes I am familiar with world problems and staffing concerns throughout the U.S. How about instead of staffing two people do three to four bam and the return will increase labor to support the nightly influx. Sadly, I have to admit I've been here hundreds of times for late night munchies. And all I can say is that this is the worst Jack In The Box ever. EVAR. Late night on a weekend, you'll wait in the drive-thru line on average of 20-30 minutes. Each time I've been here, I think to myself, "no, not this time. It'll be fast." Wrong.
