I really do love jack in the box, but not this location. It's a hit and miss here on your food order being fresh, hot and correct. The management won't do anything about the homeless / bum population that hangs out at the front entrance and parking lot. It just makes it an annoying situation to be hit up for money by the homeless every time I decide to do a walk up oder. Some of them are very aggressive panhandlers and I just don't want to deal with it so I stopped buying my food items from this location. The girl that works in the evening/dinner time here is absolutely miserable. She is so rude everytime I've seen her. She cuts you off at the box and doesn't even say hello when you pull up. Tonight was the last time I'll come to this location. I had a large order and they asked me to pull up, no problem. She came out to bring my order, as she got out of the door she said over the headset "I don't care. She can wait" hands me my food and says "at least all of your food is fresh" and rolls her eyes at me. Excuse me? I never said anything to you. My food was in fact, not fresh. Would give 0 stars if possible. Pulled up to the drive thru at 1:26 this morning to a little bit of a line, but had no problem waiting. Unfortunately it was 12 minutes before I was able to pull up and take my order. Then after that long wait just to order, I ended up having to wait another 18 minutes before pulling up to the window, only for them to tell me that they couldn't make my order properly because they "were out" of certain things, meaning that I'd have to wait even longer because they hadn't even started making my order. I was visiting a friend and went to pick up some breakfast for the both of us. I went through the drive-thru and ordered breakfast sandwich and breakfast platter. They asked if I wanted sausage or bacon, so I said bacon for my breakfast platter. They asked me if I wanted to add an cheesecake for a dollar, and I said yes. When I got to my destination, and open up the bag, they forgot all the condiments. They charged me for the cheesecake, but I didn't the cheesecake. And my breakfast platter came with sausage, not bacon as requested. I've never had fast food, drive-thru be so bad. I have been going to this jack in the box now in lakeside for awhile and it has always been a hit or miss. They forget food, rude, and don't clean very well. This morning I decided to try the new boba ice coffee.... The tapioca is disgusting so not worth it. It add on to the already gross drink the employee at the window was extremely rude. I had ordered a regular coffee for my partner and at the window he had changed his mind and ask for a large ice coffee very respectfully. This place has gone to the dumps. Wife, niece and myself stopped by for lunch yesterday and it was a literally a shit hole. ALL the tables where filthy and floors where sticky and dirty. Wife had to go into the bathroom for wet paper towels and scrub the table. We've lived in Lakeside for over 30 years and have been in this place hundreds of times over the decades and it never looked like this. It has been getting worse over the past few years as it has become a hangout for Lakesides homeless population. Now for the food we ordered. I got a new special some double grilled cheese hamburger and the meat smelled and tasted rotten. The onion rings tasted of old grease and the wife ordered loaded steak Parmesan fries but the steak was really sour so she tossed it. This specific location is absolutely horrid. They consistently mess up my order every single time that I come and there is always 1-2 items that I ordered that I do not receive. I have given up even calling them and notifying them about my missing items because every time I come, they have no record of me calling about it. I cannot think of one single time that they have gotten my order right within the last two years of living in Lakeside. The most consistently awful accuracy and complete lack of customer service skills of any of the Jack in the Box's that I have ever visited. Which is saying something as one of the Locations I visited discriminated against me for my dietary restrictions. This location should be shut down or the staff should be fired and replaced with staff that actually care about upholding some type of decent standards. Anyway I ordered the Cheddar Onion Buttery Jack with a chicken patty instead of beef, along with a couple other combo meals. When I paid, somehow I wasn't rung up for that combo, but everything else was, so they charged, I paid, whatever.
