Jack's is our go to spot for after hours junk food. Greasy food after a long night of barhopping in Downtown Merced is the perfect night cap. Best thing about Jack in the Box is that they serve breakfast all day, no questions asked. Another plus about this place is that it's open 24-hours unlike the Sonic on Main St.....where else can you get jalapeño poppers at 2am besides Jack's? Nowhere in Merced, that's for damn sure. There's usually a line of cars in the wee hours of the morning on the weekends so be aware of that. read more

Not sure why I keep giving this place a chance. They either screw up my order or give extremely bad service. A couple weeks ago I went in and placed my order. I asked that they put nothing on the burger other than the bun, meat & veggies with no sauces. The manager told me that the chicken sandwich i ordered didn't come with any sauce so it was stupid i asked for it without sauce. I told her they should put the ingredients on the menu and I wouldn't have to guess what was on it and she started arguing with me about it. The order was wrong of course and I ended up having to go back and argue with them to fix it. Today I went by and tried placing another order. As they bagged my food they stuffed way too much into one bag and ripped it. I asked for a new bag and the cashier just walked away like I wasn't even there let alone like i asked for anything. I just walked out and just when I got home and exited my car the bag ripped the rest away down from the weight of 3 burgers and 2 sides in one bag and my food ended up all over the driveway. The dogs ate good and I wasted $20. All I can say is customer service in merced is almost dead. I can think of maybe 4-5 places in merced that still have good customer service. read more

saw a commercial for the new cholula burger and fries, our family is a big fan of cholula so we wanted to go try it out. We go thru the drive thru and order 3 of the same exact meals and a few other things nothing crazy tho and they are already having problems get it down right. we get the window and they tell us to park and they will bring it out. we wait about 10 mintues and we see an employee come out with bags ( that were dripping in grease!) wandering around the parking lot look lost. He comes up to our car and we ask if that's ours but he is so confused he says no and takes it to another car. we wait about another 5 minutes and we notice that the car that he had given the greasy bags to has gone inside so i tell my husband lets go in and see whats going on. I ask whats going on with our order and the manager tries to hand me the greasy bags that they had given to the wrong car. I asked are those the bags from the other car? she didn't even know what was going on another customer had to tell me yes. I was like no thank you need to remake our order. so now we have to wait longer to remake it. we had ordered the summer time floats also which are just whip cream and soda so not worth it. they finally give us our food and they had forgot something so now we wait again. finally we get everything and we head home. we get everything set up to start eating and my husband notice that they didn't take the paper off the cheese when they put it in his burger! The food they gave us was cold, looked old and was just thrown together it was horrible all around. The Cholula burgers didn't even have everything it was supposed to have in it. complete waste of $30 we will never eat there again. read more

Went to this place for the first time because they were open and I was craving a fountain drink, ordered two fountain drinks and messed up both the size and type of drink. They never repeated my order back because if they had I would've corrected them but they seemed incredibly rushed as they were busy. read more

The food is put together in a perfuntury manner with even less than a smile from the order-taker. The grill is not kept clean as evidenced by blackened fragments of food attched to the fried eggs in the breakfast sandwich. I wouldn't eat here again if it were free. read more

My wife and I when we do fast-food jack in the box is conveniently close and have never had an issue with quality, only today I had a horrible experience, the wife picked up some tacos and as I bit into my second taco dead center a long black hair was cooked into the taco I'm disgusted and don't know what to think about jack in the box, I am really disappointed how they just want to give me free food as if I would want to eat there anymore. Let's just say that after spending close to $40 on our meal for a family of four and having to wait 15 minutes to get our food it was pretty gross. Our food was cold, they didn't pack my fries and our burgers were burnt and seemed like they've been sitting in grease all day, once you took a bite the grease filled your mouth. Just went thru the drive thru ordered two munchie meals sourdough jack and a cheese cake. Everything was there except the cheese cake. which was the mane thing i wanted. the i call to let them know because my car is over heating and i didnt want to drive it again. And the phone number i call is no longer in service.
