Paid a visit to this Jack in the Box a second time because the first encounter was splendid. You'd think stopping so soon out of L.A. on SR 14 at Mojave, destination Reno, wouldn't be necessary--but when you've been pounding coffee from the git-go... It wasn't just a pit stop. I had a page of Jack coupons and was ready for breakfast before the merge to quaint/majestic U.S. 395, the route that creates a conclusively calming cakewalk compared to I-5 & I-80's surprise lane closures, devil-may-care truckers, metro rush hours, etc. (think "Welcome to the Jungle"). Further, this turned out to be one of just two stops in an 8-1/2 hour journey. First thing I saw on pulling into a storefront parking space at about 8 a.m. was an employee cleaning the exterior window and door glass surfaces. Then, inside, another staffer was meticulously wiping down all dine-in furnishings. Morning is a great time to make a good impression. On both visits, the counter staff was welcoming and efficient, and the products (BOGO Breakfast Jacks this time) emerged faultlessly from the kitchen. Also, the restroom was in good shape, always a plus, but the location does require that you ask adjacent counter staff to buzz you in. The outdoor surroundings evoke the Bacharach-David standard, "Trains and Boats and Planes," absent the superfluous middle mode of travel--never cottoned to the notion of a watery death. The Mojave Air & Space Port boundary is a short drive to the northeast, and Union Pacific's tracks are right across the highway to the west. My kind of town, Mojave is. On June 21, 2025, I went through the drive-thru and was shouted at by the employee for not ordering fast enough "if you wanna order speak up!", even though the car in front of me hadn't moved. When I politely let her know she was being rude, she got aggressive and said: "You better hope ICE doesn't get you." Beside that she stuck her tongue at me and said "your not getting your food" which I didn't mind but none of the employees were helpful ALL of THEM ignored the situation! I asked to speak to the general manager she claimed she was the manager (mind you managers DO NOT wear hats). This was deeply offensive, xenophobic, and completely inappropriate for anyone to say -- especially an employee claiming to be a manager. This jack's open 24 hours, so it's a good option if you're traveling. Didn't have to wait long for food and they taste good. Chicken sandwich is crispy and delicious. Women's bathroom is available and clean. You just have to ask the employee to click the open button on their end. Don't think men's bathroom is locked. read more

Mediocre service. Did mobile order came up to empty drive through & was directed to park up front, 25mins later young guy comes out with the wrong order. 30 mins later comes back out with my order incomplete. I had to go inside to pick up the rest of my order. the inside was not only messy, no employees on sight besides the lady who was handling things behind register, taking drive through & handling food all with the same gloves. Kitchen is messy, employees are disorganized. After an hour and 20 mins I was able to complete myself (two combo meals ) because it seemed to be so hard to do by people getting paid to do it. Lessons learned. If Jack isn't located in San Diego there's a high probability that expectations won't be met. Ordering through the Mojave location's drive-thru was a nightmare. Because Mojave is very windy you wont be able to order clearly because of wind and road noise. But even if you managed to get your order placed and displayed correctly on their screen you're 100% likely to get a messed up order in your bag. We had two cars in our caravan and both cars had messed up orders.. Not really Jack's fault but.... If you've been traveling during the pandemic you're probably used to seeing people urinating in public places, usually behind dumpsters or just anywhere because of fast-food restaurant closing their dining rooms. Unfortunately this location's bathroom was also closed and the only place to pee was behind the restaurant, in public, next to the drive-thru lane.. Very unappetizing sight while waiting in line to pick up our order. BTW - McDonald's across the street isn't any better with service.. read more

My husband and I stop here Whenever we travel to LA. Usually it's in the afternoons and the line isn't long. The service provided is quick and friendly. The food is hot and tastes good. We let them know ahead of time we like extra ranch so they can add it to our order. Absolutely outrageous! I have never seen such price and service. We ordered two chicken nuggets, 2 chicken sandwiches and 1 combo beef burgers with curly fries and coke. We only got curly fries and Coke with 3 bowls of only tomatoes, onions and lettuces. No buns, patty, chicken nuggets and chicken strips at all!! DO NOT GO TO THAT PLACE. I rarely write reviews but I feel so ripped off that I had to. Their picture indicates a Popeye's type of chicken sandwich, but then they gave you a $1 menu type of chicken sandwich. As other reviewers pointed out the restrooms are closed which is the same as Carls Jr and McDonalds in the Mojave area. Clearly, they all got together to agree to do this so they don't have to hire people to clean them. You're in the middle of nowhere with virtually no other options for very long distances so you're forced to deal with this. read more

Super odd to review a Jack In the Box, I know! But after driving MILES & MILES from Death Valley tonight and having other drive thrus closed even though their hours are technically open for drive-thrus...this Jack in the Box was like an Oasis! We tentatively rolled into their drive thru lane nervous about another rejection & too hungry not to try! We were immediately greeted by a kind voice over the speaker apologizing for her delay even though there was none. She stated from the get go that she was only accepting cards, which was perfect for us & greatly appreciated just in case we only had cash (imagine deep hunger, fatigue from barren desert roads, rejection at another drive-thru then ordering only to find out we only had cash or something?! ) She took our order diligently and made sure to repeat things back & give me enough time to review then confirm my preferences before meeting us at the window. She greeted me before handling payment. She was managing the next order while pulling together ours! She never made us feel forgotten and I heard her double check my sister custom order (she wouldn't have eaten her food if it wasn't made her way ) before tucking it away in a paper bag. She made sure to hand us items as they got ready so we were not forgotten or overwhelmed. It's some weird times we're living in and after a LONG exhausting day she was my silver lining. It's definitely the little things for me and her professionalism & attentive authenticity was appreciated. I wish I had gotten your name but I had hunger brain. Leaving from the North San Fernando Valley Northridge/Chatsworth area. 14,fwy to 58,fwy to 15,fwy safest way to travel with family. Even though it's been improved Route 138 Pearbloosm (highway of death) still more dangerous. Other option is 210fwy to 15fwy depending on where you live and what time you go. While the food is always consistent and enjoyable at Jack in the Box, this visit was made even better by Aliya! From the moment I approached the counter, I was immediately greeted by Aliya. She took my order and confirmed it with me. She accepted payment and thanked me for visiting. The entire time, Aliya was friendly and professional. Standard fast food fare. What made it a 5 star experience was the staff and employees. They were all quite young but most importantly they were polite and accommodating as we don't eat Jack in the Box very often so we needed some time to go over the menu (which the cashier helped us with; guy with dark hair and glasses). The girls and guys in the back were working together and made sure we had all our items and offered sauces. Onion rings were crispy and delicious. The WORST customer service I have EVER experienced!! I came through the drive-thru to place my order. The rude lady taking my order cut me off mid order and sent me to the window. I told her at the window that I had other items and she told me I would have to go back around to order more food.
