Came here late night Saturday. It was hard to give my order, I repeated myself a few times.. When I drop up to the window the cashier just opened the window and looked at me, I handed her my card. She took it, No hello or at least my total. She came back handed me my card and produced to give me the bags of food and right away closed the window, she was about to walk away, as I said "Excuse me" she turned around and opened the window , still not saying anything, I asked for my drinks, She looked around and gave them to me. No apology, no talking. When I asked for the condiments, she did speak. This Jack In The Box is next to the Lee's Sandwiches in Orange. It has its own dedicated parking and a fireplace, which was off at the time. There was a sign that stated that there was a 30 minute time limit. Assuming that time limit starts when the receipt is printed, 7 of those minutes were lost waiting for the food to come out. The employees looked and sounded really bored and didn't make much small talk. That's good enough for me, since I don't need that kind of communication. The credit card transaction took longer than expected but maybe their internet was slow. As far as the food was concerned, it was pretty normal as far as food went but I received a piece of bread that naturally had a hole in it, not that 1 ounce of bread makes much of a difference. They have a women's restroom and a unisex restroom with a lock on it despite there being a separate lockable toilet stall. I used the door lock anyway since I didn't want anyone to see my hideous hands while I was washing them. read more

This location consists on serving old food ! Out of the 4 times I've come there have been ONE occasion where the food was fresh. I've even returned the food on the last visit. On my recent visit they served old food yet again and charged for an extra sauce. After speaking to the manager Sonya with her passive attitude she stated she had to "investigate" to give me the refund I requested and would reach out that day. She never followed up , never processed my refund and this is going on the 5th day since the incident. They also cut their phones off so calls wouldn't come through to avoid the issue I brought to their attention. The drive thru box is always hit or miss.. sometimes they cant hear you and sometimes you cant hear them... aside from that they havent gotten my order wrong and they do have friendly workers. This Jack sports a clean new design including a fireplace (have yet to see it on) TV, and ample table space in the dining room (bench, standard, bar, and high tables available). A huge plus is the self serve condiment area which has Ketchup, Ranch, and Hot Sauce available via counter top pumps (no need to feel embarrassed by asking for 10 packets for your 1 item LOL). To top it off, Free WiFi. Great place for a relaxing breakfast. As for service, greetings are important to this team along with a noticeable desire to serve. I've only visited this location for breakfast; however, I was impressed by the fact that orders are often brought directly to the table when ready. As well, I've noticed the staff offer to clear trays when finished (might be during the slow periods, nonetheless, great personal service). Just an observation, turnover seems very low at this location as I have seen the same staff since opening (over a year I believe), nice to see familiar faces (huge compliments to the management and ownership for building loyalty amongst the ranks and keeping the staff happy, it shows). As for the food, always great, for breakfast my favorites are the Hearty Bowl, Meaty Burrito, and the Breakfast Jack (not all at the same time LOL) all of which have always been super tasty and made to order. A plus to Jack is that every things is made fresh once ordered so you'll shouldn't receive anything that was sitting under a heat lamp. The wait is longer than usual but well worth it in my opinion. There are a couple of downsides worth mentioning. Drive-Thru: Due to the fact that the order box is literally next to the freeway, heavy traffic noise makes hearing the order taker difficult. Entrance: Overshooting the entrance can be a problem depending on what direction your coming from. *TIP When driving eastbound on Chapman Avenue (from UCI Medical Center), be sure to be in the far right lane going under the 5 Freeway as the first driveway past the freeway is for Jack, miss it and you'll be parking in the Denny's lot and walking over.
