I went back today, Saturday the 21st and the truck was gone. The big issue for me at first was I didn't understand the menu. It was written in paint on the windows and I couldn't see it. Then they got a nice big bright menu on the side of the truck (see attached photo). That was much easier to read, but it was still in Spanish and I didn't understand what it was I was ordering. I took pictures of the menu, went home and translated the menu. From that point on I went to the truck at least twice a week confident in what I was ordering. So sad to see it gone. I'm miss my San Diego breakfast burritos! I can't drive and eat a "breakfast taco"! So, I asked my server, Karen if they could make me something to-go that wasn't on menu.... THEY MADE IT! " My favorite breakfast, a burrito with chorizo, egg, cheese and potato and I got it at 2pm since they serve breakfast ALL DAY! There is a slight variation to their "cacajuetes" salsa. This unfortunately did not meet or exceed any... i came in with none. We ordered Quesabirria tacos. My wife got the order with the beans and rice... rosarita beans and mediocre rice. Minutes after eating the tacos i had a horrible lingering feeling in my mouth of grease.. i lined my mouth with lard it felt like. The consome/ soup type that you dip the taco into had garbanzo beans ... what in the culinarily missapropriated food item was that In MEXICAN food!!!???? The overbearing music that cuts out every 16 notes is obnoxious and loud. They have a few TVs for games, but doesnt seem like there was any thought as to placement. Need to do better I did take a peek at some plates around us... the chile verde looked good.
