I know nights can be hectic, but wow -- the line was epic. It felt like I was waiting for concert tickets, not a burger! The crew looked overwhelmed and a bit frazzled, which I totally understand on a late shift, but it did make the experience tricky. I waited almost 20 minutes just to reach the order window. Honestly, it seemed like only two or three staff were trying to handle everything. One to order, cook, take payment. Management, if you're reading this, your night crew needs more support -- they're working hard, but it shows. I tried to politely ask for extra sauces -- just one ranch, one BBQ, and one boss sauce. Before I could even finish saying "ranch..." I was waved to the next window. Okay, fair enough. At the next window though, the young guy rolled his eyes (maybe just tired?) and said, "I got you," im handed a bag of condiments that didnt have my specific requests. Instead, a bag of ketchup and hot sauce. When handling payment the young boy then asked for my "code" (pin) instead of simply handing me the keypad. Cue confusion. Then came the food. I opened my Big Mac-style burger right away and the sauce looked...brown. Like it had been sitting out for a bit too long. The inside had that pinkish-orange hue and the outside seemed hardened. Not exactly the fresh bite I was expecting. How long has this been sitting out? The mini tacos were covered in nachos instead of having them on the side, so everything was soggy. And sadly, no receipt to scan my points. My bag had tons of condiments -- but not the three I'd specifically asked for. (If I were the owner, I'd be concerned: that's a lot of waste and a very disappointed customer.) I really wanted to like this visit, but I'll probably pass next time. It's Jack in the Box. I don't have high standards for fast food chains, I know what I am getting. This location is next to a freeway on and off ramps so they get a lot of business. The negative is long line and wait time at the drive-thru. The positive is your food is likely fresh. Because of it' location in Sylmar off the freeway, there can be an issue with unhoused homeless people. No knock on this Jack in the Box, but still something worth noting. Overall never had a problem in the many years I have infrequently visited them. Would recommend if you understand this is Jack in the Box not a 3-star Michelin restaurant. read more

Can I just say, jack in the box always hits at this place when Juan F takes our order. He's patient, and regardless of how large our order is (always is) he never complains or makes us feel rushed or like big backs lol. He packs our order in separate bags and tells us what each bag contains as he hands it to us, making sure everything is there. And nothing is never missing. I wouldn't willingly come here. I got a munchie box with half and half fries for one of my sides and the other was onion rings. The portion size was anemic, instead of half and half I just got curly fries and my meal was overall really miserable in looks. In taste, it was the definition of "mid" I also got a vanilla milkshake with bobas in it, I requested a straw because I'd need one for a drink with bobas. They gave me a standard straw which couldn't suck up any of the bobas so that drink was basically a waste of money. Overall I'd never come here willingly. Went to this Jack in the box 10:30 PM on a Saturday night 12/13/25. My nieces were hungry, three beautiful young girls just had a fun night at Magic Mountain and it's their first time eating, as they were afraid to eat while getting on the many roller coaster rides. So this was their first meal of the day and they were met with such terrible treatment in this establishment and they were very uncomfortable and afraid to order what they wanted because every time they tried to speak to cashier to get help or to ask questions, they were subjected to disrespectful tone speaking to them. One telling them, "don't you see I was busy, I was doing something. Why are you calling me when you know I'm busy?" They didn't get a name. They were just too afraid. so I'm writing here that there are some very rude people in the world. And these people want your business and they want you to pay for rude disrespectful treatment. I've been coming to this location for years. The staff is normally nice and friendly. HOWEVER, Last night my partner and we were craving Jack at 3am. We drove to go get some and ordered our food through the drive through. To begin with, the overnight manager was EXTREMELY rude from the very start. We didn't know what we wanted and she kept rushing us (keep in mind that we were the only ones in the drive thru). We then ordered our food and pulled up to the window to pay. I asked the manager nicely if I may please have some ranch and she didn't say anything. I assumed she didn't hear me so I asked again. She then rudely said "I heard you". I told her she didn't need to be rude. She then proceeded to curse at me and my partner. Immediately after that she then threw our bags of food into the car, shut the drive thru window on us, and then proceeded to flip both middle fingers at us. A neighborhood Jack in the Box! Mostly, we use the drive through as it's convenient when your on your way from or to your destination. However, the food is always very good and fits your budget! The drive through line is, for the most part, crazy busy and sometimes very long! The customer service inside or via the drive-through is always pleasant and friendly! Some days you'll catch the best and the quickest service and some days you'll be in line for a super long time.. I've seen the restrooms super clean some days and super dirty some days. Pretty mediocre quality of meat and chicken. The curly fries are okay by a bit too fried and greasy. I prefer the regular ones for that matter. It's a great pit-stop when everything else is closed but I've had better meals from other Jack in the Box locations.
