For some reason an easy order late at night cannot be fulfilled correctly by the staff at Jack-in-the-Box I ordered 4 items and only got 3. I placed my order through DoorDash so there is no way for me to be able to go and get the other item that I paid for and did not receive. So again I had to call DoorDash and have my money refunded. Apparently it is becoming the norm for restaurants not providing everything that you've ordered. It is becoming impossible to even expect service and a complete order when placing and order through doorDash, GrubHub or directly through the restaurant itself. There really is no excuse for getting an order incorrect when the answer is on the receipt. It is no longer enjoyable ordering for delivery nor going out because I really don't want to give any of these restaurants who can't seem to get an order correct any more business. Definitely will not be ordering or going to Jack-in-the-Box again. I'll stick with Wendy's and McDonald's. read more

Open 24 hours. It used to be only the drive thru but the dining area is open as well. I've dined inside but primarily use the the drive thru. Food I've tried a little of everything from breakfast to burgers. All are decent, nothing exciting as far as flavors but it does fill me up even though I always order a small drink/fries with all of my orders. So far, I never had any issues with my food. The ones that are consistently inedible, I never order and my food is always hot. Drinks - soda is the same as anywhere else. The shakes are not bad but too sweet for me but its a nice treat upon occasion. Restaurant Outside - landscaping and parking lot is always clean, no matter what time of day I arrive. Well lit at night. There's the occasional homeless person late at night so keep an out for them (some won't bother you, others are crazy). Inside - usually clean with the occasional dirty tables and trash cans. Bathroom - usually clean with the occasional dirty floor or their out of supplies. Customer Service I receive decent service 50% of the time. Most are friendly and helpful. But everyone has a bad day, but when you're working you need to put on a smile and give the best customer service. A customer should never feel that they're inconveniencing the employee for buying a meal at the restaurant. There were 2 occasions that stands out. The 1st time I was told by an employee to park "up front" because they were so backed up in the drive thru but someone will bring me my food. I had no idea that they had a special parking spot around the corner because she didn't inform me about that. So I parked in the regular parking lot. When 10 minutes went by and there was no food runner, I went inside and asked what was going on and I asked why I had to park in the parking lot. I was given a blank stare by the drive thru employee with no explanation. I was very upset about that. Poor communication from staff to customer. The 2nd time it happened, they still didn't inform me about the parking spot but since I know what they were talking about, I waited there and my food was delivered within 5 minutes. Not all locations has this parking situation but when an employee asks a customer to "go park and wait", they better explain that special parking situation and not assume that we understand what they are talking about. #DineSavorRepeat read more

This location needs more employees. Every weekend it is struggling to take orders and manage the early morning rush. It should have more employees available. This location is walking distance from 3 different bars which attracts a lot of business. It is also on a main road that attracts commuters and travelers due to being close to two main freeways. The people are always friendly and they give you a pretty decent amount of sauce in the drive thru. Everytime I go there the fries are always very fresh and hot. No fast food satisfies one's drunken craving like The Jacker - specifically, the Grilled Sourdough Jacker. If they don't have any of those available, just go for the Monster Tacos - employee of the month Lizbert will happily make them to order. I'm sure there's no cat meat in 'em. When I was younger, there was a guy working there who somehow resembled both an elderly woman and late-night magnate David Letterman. We cleverly dubbed him "David-Letterman-Grandma Guy". He had the most haunted eyes, but he loved children. He also scared the shit out of me. Not sure how this is relevant, but it feels like crucial data for anyone considering a meal here. A note for the safety-conscious: late nights are when the restaurant is at its peak, but be wary - your fellow patrons might not be safely operating their motor vehicles. VCPD could probably triple their arrest record by setting up a sobriety checkpoint at the end of the drive-thru lane. read more

Just went to the drive thru to use the free burger coupon. There were two of us in the car and I told drive thru boy I had 2 coupons. The little rude kid says really snotty, I can give you one burger per visit. I said, so if we go inside we can use both of them. "Yes." Inside, I then saw this truly rude employee, about 17 years old and working the take out window. The girl who took our order could barely pronounce Jumbo Jack and Double Jack. Very annoying. But that's not why I'm giving it five stars. It's the service. One night, at about 2:30am, I went through the drive through. Very frustrated with the girl at the window tonight. I've been avoidant of this Jack in the box for a while, but this makes me not want to come back again. The person manning the window tonight at 9:20 was extremely rude for no reason at all. I placed my order, and sat third in line for about 15 minutes. Then when I got to the window, she greeted me, repeated my order to me incorrectly, then immediately turned her back and took more orders. Fine, I understand people are understaffed. I sat and listened for a second waiting to make sure my order was actually correct, a second staff member was handing me my drinks and I had to double check that my order was actually correct. Then as she repeated it back my daughter and I looked at each other confused and wondered if I had ordered correctly because I didn't want to pay the wrong amount. I thought I handed my card my card to the second person to pay after hearing my order and I believe several things happened in quick succession, and I believe that the second person handed me back my card and I put i away as I grabbed my food. Then I asked for some ranch dressing, as always, and was handed two. I asked for a third as we paid for three meals and I was informed that I would have to pay for a third. I was confused again and I questioned it since it was a new policy since the last time I came to this location. I was irritated that this was a policy and I said never mind frustratedly. I would have been very apologetic for my frustration as I know it's not the individual's fault for this policy, but then she snapped at me "did you pay yet?" I looked back at her and said, I thought I had. She looked at her second person and was incredibly kind to her but treated me as though it was my fault that my card wasn't run. She swiped my card and then shut the window on me without a word. I was sitting patiently expecting a receipt and she snapped the window open at me and rudely asked if I needed something else. I said "I don't need anything else, I just thought I was going to get a receipt." She said "we don't give receipts." And I just said, again very confused and irritated at her behavior, "oh, I didn't know that." She continued on this rude vein "I can give you a receipt if you want one," as though I had had wronged her to expect a normal transaction. She then shut the window on me once again and I had half a mind to walk back in or call in my frustration. However, I saw that her line was at least 15 cars long and I didn't want to inconvenience those other customers. I 99.9% of the time give customer service and retail workers every bit of grace I have, but she deserves none of it. Especially considering that she turned and treated her coworker with exceptional grace and me with disrespect in the same breath because of THIER mistake and YOUR company policies. I will absolutely be removing Jack in the Box as one of the companies I frequent. read more
