I've purchased two cars from Jack Wolf. The first one was new, and the second one was used. When negotiating on the second car, a Volvo, I asked them to take it to a Volvo dealership for an inspection, which I paid for (Jack Wolf isn't a Volvo dealership), and to which they agreed. The Volvo dealership did the inspection and sent back a report, but strangely enough no one at Jack Wolf could explain what happened to the report. I guess it was sort of just 'lost accidentally on purpose', if you know what I mean. I contacted the Volvo dealership directly and requested the report, which they sent to me. After reviewing the report, I saw that there were repairs needed on the car, and Jack Wolf agreed to have the repairs done as a condition of me buying the car. A friend drove me over to Jack Wolf on the day I was to pick up the car. I asked for the repair paperwork and compared it with the report. One of the items, a repair worth about $100.00, had been missed. When I brought it up, the Sales Manager stated that they could reimburse me for the charge after the sale as it 'needed to come out of another account'. Well, I knew that was a line at the time, but I wanted the car, and my friend had left, as he had not been feeling well that day, so I was essentially stuck there with no other way to get home. Of course, the reimbursement was never forthcoming. About a year later, I was still thinking about this and wrote a letter personally addressed to Mr. Jack Wolf. I was contacted by phone by the same Sales Manager again, who just hemmed and hawed and didn't do anything. This happened several years ago, but I've never forgotten it. Now that I'm on Yelp, I can finally get this off my chest and warn others about the shady practices at this dealership. Here's a little advice to you, Mr. Jack Wolf. If a customer has a problem with one of your employees, please do not make them talk to that same employee again as a resolution to the problem, especially when that customer has reached out to you directly. I will never give another cent to your dealership, so I hope that $100.00 you saved was worth it. read more

DO NOT buy from Kunes Cadillac of Belvidere! It was a horrible experience. After negotiation we bought the car $8,000 over sticker, for a 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV Sport Platinum, and I put a deposit on it. After receiving the contract in the mail I signed it and sent it back. I called them multiple times to see when my car would arrive and no one would pick up. After the run-around, I finally got a hold of one of the sales managers Michael Miethke, who I had been dealing with due to the fact that the salesman Anthony Pirrello kept playing games with the numbers, and going back and forth. Michael then proceed in telling me that I was supposed to get a call from the general manager, Stephany Whitted (which I never did), to tell me that they had sold the vehicle to someone else behind my back, even though I had a deposit on it as well as a contract! They never called me to apologize or return my $5000 deposit. All three managers including: the general manager (Stephany Whitted), sales manager (Michael Miethke), and general sales manager (Matt Milla), were well aware that I was purchasing this vehicle and had a contract as well a deposit on it. Even my original salesman (Anthony Pirrello) congratulated me on my purchase. Word of advice, don't waste your time purchasing a vehicle here, very unprofessional, and they enjoy wasting people's time. Purchasing multiple brand new Cadillac Escalade ESV's directly from the showroom floor in the past I did not expect to get this type of service from such an exquisite brand, especially being a long time customer! Furthermore, being a part of the General Motors (GM) family for over 25+ years, and owning many GMC Yukon XL Denalis, and Chevrolet Suburbans, I was very disappointed in this type of service! People should be aware of this and stay away from this dealer! read more

Bought a used car, a 2001, back in 2007 and it was a lemon. Had to have the engine replaced and when that was done by their technicians the wiring in the car got messed up. The car had no remote start but would start on its own if bumped just right. Did it several times, usually during the winter. Check engine light never turned off. I had a warning light on my 2008 Chevy Malibu that said "Power Steering." I looked in the owner's manual, and it said if thls light ever illuminated, the car should be seen by the service department right away. I did not take the car to the service department at Lou Bachrodt in Rockford (where I purchased the car) because I had not been impressed with them in the past. I took the car to another mechanic who told me I needed a power steering assist motor, and that would cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $1200! I told my husband this, and he called the mechanic to ask if he had encountered this problems with Chevy Malibus in the past. The mechanic said he had come across this before, and he would recommend we talk to the service department at Jack Wolf GMC in Belvidere. I called Jack Wolf and spoke to Charlie Seckinger in the service department. He told me to stop by any time, and they would have a look at the car. He told me that yes, that had been a problem with some Chevy Malibus, and he would see what he could do. My husband and I stopped by Jack Wolf today, no appointment, just stopped in. Charlie looked at the car, did some investigating and told us he would replace the power steering assist motor today at no charge to us. They even did a free 27 point inspection and washed our car. Everyone at Jack Wolf was efficient and courteous. When I need a new car, that is where I plan to go. The way you are treated at a dealership when there is a problem with your car really says a lot. read more
