They are super easy to care for-- like wash and go after using a bit of curl goo. The cuts grow out beautifully. I waited almost 8 months between & my hair still had a great shape. She really knows how to get the most out of your curls. Her cuts always make my hair look fuller. My curls actually curl and don't look like a frizzy mess. Basically, she's a curl master & also fun to chat with. I've also taken my teen girls to Megan. She has helped my younger daughter gracefully grow her hair out from a pixie to a bob and my older daughter (who usually despises getting her hair cut) loved having it cut by Megan & is so happy with the result! She went from long hair to shoulder length bob & its such a flattering cut! As far as the overall vibe at the salon, it's warm, welcoming & laid back. There's plenty of street parking-- mostly meters, but you can find free back on the side streets too. Summary: Aim & Ailie's is a gem! You & your hair should get over there ASAP. If your hair could talk it would definitely say 'Thank you!'

Very early I received a text telling me they did not want to give me a pedicure for some made up resons. They have never seen my feet yet they had comments about my feet that were far from accurate. There was a link to schedule with anothr nail tech and they canceled that appointment too. I had a back and forth discussion with the owner who told me to see a podiatrist. I told her I already have and he said to get a pedicure which is why I made the appointment. I do not think they wanted to honor their original price and decided to cancel my appointment as they may have booked a full price client. I have made an appointment elsewhere with no issues.

I had a hair trial here and had a good experience with Kelly. I wanted a second hair trial, ostensibly to try extensions, but also because I wanted to see even more styles (by that, I mean different types of soft waves and such). Each time was a blast. I am particular about my hair but am also very interested in hair in general, seeking advice from hairstylists and trying to incorporate their ideas into my own daily hair routine. Kelly understood this quickly and easily, and she was very descriptive about different styles and how she was making each of them happen. She is the nicest hair stylist I have ever had in over 30 years on this earth. Period. She could get along with anyone and is passionate, kind, and ready to make you feel great. The wedding prep itself was also very easy and fun with Kelly and Nikki. My bridesmaids who worked with Nikki seemed to enjoy the process. They got the exact hairstyles they wanted and/or sought her ideas for what to do. Everyone's styles looked magazine-ready and stayed that way for hours upon hours. I felt similarly with Kelly's styles for me and for others getting ready. They also were easy to talk to and very kind, fitting right into the joyful atmosphere. It was clear that my friends and family had fun while being styled and felt confident after their hair was done! After such a long time without big events, it was really nice to feel pampered and glamorous again.

In this case, the expert colorist doctored my thirty-something sprouting grays back to my 'natural' twenty-something high/low lights. Then the stylist cut to precision: just within my safety zone--tastefully tweaked with enough style to stay on trend without conforming to fad--well inside regret (i.e. My Jennifer Aniston circa 1995 mistake). The colorists and stylists here are true masters in their field. There's clearly a lot of training and experience behind their work. I'm hard-pressed to prebook more than 2 weeks out, so I jump around per availability. Recommendations: Dawn, Judy, Jeff (Color) and Kelly, Helen, Cyndi (Style). Bottom line, I consistently leave a better looking me (obvious talent). But it's not just about beauty, balance is equally important--from the get go. Mind your own first impression: the receptionist greets you by name, asks about your last trip, then ensures you're legally parked. "Thanks, Stephanie. Yes, I will leave my worries at the door." Then it's ME TIME: relax, be comfortably silent or chat pleasant conversation, soak up the spa-like ambiance, faint coffee-house music, head massage, hot tea or cucumber water (and secretly flirt with lash extensions). While you're at it, Beauty & Balance, toss me a terrycloth robe, slippers, and wrap my satin sheets to go!

I asked for a simple blowout with loose waves. Nothing complicated. The stylist proceeded to turn my hair into a frizzy mess without putting a brush to it. Then dumped my hair in front of my face while causing the blowout "quite a puzzle". Then used a flat iron to make a series of kinks in the middle of my hair which he thought were the right waves I was looking for. I asked him to use a curling iron instead, which he didn't seem to know how to use. He ultimately turned me over to another stylist who did her best to fix his mess. It was a horrible experience.
