Late night spot is great and grabbing beers and pizza is perfect. You can go early for a laid back vibe, but late night is fun.

Fun neighborhood bar atmosphere. Plenty of TVs. They had my favorite beer, Yuengling Lager, on tap. Our waiter was extremely attentive. Husband had the prime rib sandwich and I had the half Rueben and clam chowder. The prime rib sandwich was cooked exactly to his liking, medium rare. The bread held up nicely against the juicy meat. The chowder was delicious!! Clearly made from scratch with a perfect amount of cracked black pepper. I have to admit that I am a bit of a Rueben snob but this place did not disappoint! If you're not a regular, prepare to be ignored. You could die of thirst at the bar while the bartenders chat with their friends.

Great dive bar. There's a wide variety of food; we recommend the chili, buffalo wings, nachos, burgers, and pizza. There's a good beer selection, including Guinness on tap and cans of Schlitz in the fridge. Frankly, I'd give it 5 stars except the bartenders could not be less interested in the customers. I'm there with friends at the bar 2-3 times a month and still struggle to get a beer at the bar from some of them. They'll eventually get you a drink, but never a friendly smile or hello. The tall guy doesn't seem to serve people over 30. It's disappointing. read more

Decent food, the manager/outside waitress refuses to give separate checks to anyone even after we were told we could get them.The first time she insisted on giving us one check for two tables. The second time we were told we could have separate checks and then she gave us one check. She's as lazy as they come. My advice would be to stay away and go to the taco place next store. read more

Stormy's is a third place for our community. It's always packed and always loud and I always leave with a headache. It's a place we go to for BBQ Pork nachos....they smoke their own pork and it's amazing. I also always get a Fat Tire on draft...so much better than from a bottle. We know what to expect. When we are trying to pick a place to go for dinner or lunch I don't usually want to go to Stormy's because I know it's going to be loud with locals that have had a bit too much to drink, but there is a certain comfort to knowing what to expect, and we love Stormy's, that vibe is a part of our community so we end up there a lot. We've been trying to try a few different things on the menu as of late, instead of just Nachos and beer. Their daily soups are usually amazing and they have a wonderful ruben. My son enjoys their burgers. For the most part their staff is friendly and attentive. As expected when they are busy it's a bit harder for them to get to you quickly, but as I said, the place grows on you and we realize that's just part of the whole shebang. read more

Great for a "rainy day", but probably not the best choice if you're feeling "under the weather" . Who's got a trunk full of puns? I do. And I've got plenty more where that came from, so stick around, people! Seeking a bite and a beer after obtaining a hundred bucks worth of free steaks from the nearby Hofherr Meat Co, I was on the fence about coming here or The Happ Inn Bar & Grill. I liked the name of this place better, so they got my business and for the most part I'm glad I made the choice (although I've no idea what I missed out on at The Happ. Maybe tons of single, local hotties and free beer, alas I'll never know.) Walking in to Stormy's Tavern & Grille, I immediately noticed an overabundance of TV's inside. Like all freaking over. The only places on the walls where there weren't flatscreens had signed Blackhawks sweaters and other Chicago sports memorabilia. I plopped down at the bar and got a pint of Goose Island Green Line as I ordered wings & crispy green beans. Meanwhile, I felt my spidey sense tingling.....sure enough, I spotted a lone pinball table out of the corner of my eye. A-ha! A Game of Thrones machine was wedged into their cramped gameroom, in between a wall and one of those hydroboat racing thingies. I had to kick aside a tiny kid's chair as well as a tiny kid (just kidding) to get my pinball fix on, yet I made it happen. It was $1.00 per play, and walking back to my seat at the bar afterwards I got some quizzical "what was he doing in there??" looks from the various soccer mommies sipping their pinot grigios and checking their Twitter accounts. When I returned, lo and behold a plate of 'ghost' wings [$10] and breaded green beans [$8] awaited me. Ten bucks gets you something like a dozen wings in a sauce of your choosing, so obviously I went with their hottest option. Two wings in and that scorching ghost pepper heat hit me like a "tornado" of fire. They explicitly warned me on the menu, so Stormy's has some truth in advertising, yuh huh. Four wings in and I began producing a veritable "monsoon" of sweat, but I persisted. The crispy green beans came with a buffalo mayo dipping sauce and tasted as good as you'd imagine. Clientele was a mixture of families and locals, but it was the townies that made 95% of the eye-rolling racket. One table in the back was throwing out f-bombs as loud as "thunder" and seemed like a damn rowdy bunch of yokels. Bread = 4 Circuses = 3.5 While the bartenders didn't ignore me completely, my daytime soap opera-like good looks garnered very little attention (which rarely happens, I swear). On a few occasions, I had trouble "hailing" a server to request a glass of ice water. Otherwise they were fine, if a tad brusque. FYI, those ghost wings went thru my system like "lightning", as I found out early the next morning. It was painful to even break "wind" at times. But I suppose that's my punishment for calling their bluff. Kudos to the kitchen for having remarkably hot wings. Sure, I'd recommend Stormy's. read more

This location is pretty good because it has a lot of TVs if you're going to watch sports. They have a large list of tap beers. The food was good but the service was extremely slow. I would go back but I hope if I do the service is quicker. read more

After a bad experience from Stormy's, one of the employees Lalo reached out to me privately to discuss the situation but still deemed it was unacceptable and invited me back to give Stormy's another try. Everyone deserves a second chance right? Coincidentally, a friend of mine invited a group of us out to Stormy's because his birthday was the following day. How can anyone pass up an evening with friends and drinking on the patio to celebrate another year of life? Lalo personally came out to the patio and introduce himself to us and offered his service with open arms. He was very attentive and friendly which made the service absolutely SUPERB. This was definitely turn from the last time I visited here so it was a surprise which also stunned my friends. Later on the evening, he let me know that he will be leaving and to enjoy the rest of our nice. (Did I mention the cheese curds was DELICIOUS!) I really enjoyed my second visit to Stormy's especially since it is located in a quiet town on the patio as oppose to a patio setting in the city. I would definitely love to come back and try out the rest of the menu. I am very curious about their pizza and wings. read more

I was hanging out with some great guys, and though they wouldn't have objected to me snapping away, I just wanted to keep the conversation going. Stormy's is a special place for many folks. It's a local hangout that for many years went by the name, Seul's Tavern. It's remains a bar and grill and still, ain't nothing fancy. But, it fits the bill for certain occasions. Such as, going out for a beer. Having a hamburger, or some meaty chicken wings (served with Ranch or Blue Cheese). Or Maybe a Turkey Club sandwich. If you don't want all that bread, just say so: The staff there won't look at you funny. Me, I tried the Italian Beef. Though I'm no expert, it was a pretty good Italian Beef. The meat is a good amount the dipping sauce does the trick as the bread disintegrates like it's supposed to. They offer spicy peppers, which are a Giardiniera style. Also, sweet peppers. I don't know much about sweet peppers, and I'd like to keep it that way. Keep it Spicy ! The tater tots are very good, not greasy. I'd recommend them, like my server did when I asked which side she likes. The wings have been ordered before by the semi-regulars I accompanied. The Club looked fine, I didn't hear any complaints. It can get a little drafty in the fall and winter, so sit far away from the doors. There's not much they can do about it since they had to go green with their heater back in 2012. Yes, I asked about it. Park in the back or out front. It's a good place to meet up and they're open late. They have lots of TVs, so you can probably find the game you're looking for. 4 stars for the BBQ they do on Sundays only. Large portions if you get the sampler plate. It's filled with pulled pork, brisket and sausage. Very good sandwiches and sides. They also have smoked chicken wings but the time I had them they were over cooked and dry. I may try them again but I'm going to see how they look coming out of the kitchen before I do. The buffalo wings are good and I'm a fan of their pizza. Homemade soups daily and on my last visit there I had a bowl of creamy potato with ham. Huge and tasty burgers too. It gets pretty busy and getting a seat at the bar can be a little difficult. There are a bunch of high top tables in the bar area but they fill up fast too and the service at the bar is better, at least on Sundays. Families will do better to sit in the dining room. read more

Been coming here every once in a while for years, never disappointed. Stopped in tonight after a wake. Found two spots at the bar, 4 bartenders and no one came to us for at least 5 minutes. Once we were ready for another beer we pushed our bottles to the edge (like we do at every other bar) and no one acknowledged us! When they finally did, they only brought my husband a beer. We had to flag someone down to get me a beer and ordered some cheese curds. The lady sitting next to us commented that she might steal one. Average food there today. Bun on burger was cool to touch. Cooked medium rare, the burger was just ok. Fries were lukewarm and weird. Gorgeous Blonde had a good Rueben, quite small for $11. This place rocks! A great third place close to home. We were actually headed to the Happ but noticed Stormy's when we parked. Upon walking in the place was packed, adults and families. Grabbed two seats at the bar. The wife orders a fat tire and I ordered a smithwick. Person brings me the smithwick and says the tap just ran out so I can have that one on the house. He gives me a sample of another beer on tap that he recommends and I get one of those too. I am not in this joint five minutes and already I'm digging it. Plenty of sports on the TV this night, bulls, sox, cubs, hawks. A real interesting and lively mix of folks on a Friday night. Some guy has a hair helmut that I never quite get over. The best way to describe it is darth vader helmut but gray. For food we order the nachos and the parm garlic wings. Both do the trick and do not disappoint. Prices are reasonable, much more so than I expected given it's location. Way to go Stormy's, we will be back. read more

Stopped near this neighborhood to see my relatives. Asked them if they knew of a good place for lunch. They recommended Stormy's. This "Pub" has comfortable decor and you feel welcome and cozy here.. Wife and I took a sit at the wrap around bar. Lots of TV's, Bartenders where friendly. Absolut Bloody Mary's on special for $5.25. Two please! They're great. Topped with Guinness. Yum. Had the Reuben with sweet potato fries and recommended fresh horseradish from the bar tender. it was great! One of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Wife had the 10" pizza " I must state she did not finish it" she said it was very good. The Owner ( I think his name is Charlie) came up to us and asked us if everything was ok. Nice touch. You don't get that attention anymore in other "pubs". It's a dive bar so it is what it is. Fine place to come for a beer and obviously has its regulars so it can't be all bad. But for me I don't get the appeal. The food is subpar, the TVs are not great and hard to see from most angles and the bartenders are just there to pour a drink. After forgetting why I haven't been back I eventually return, I have a beer or two and move on to somewhere else. read more

I've been coming to Stormy's since I was a kid, when it was called Seul's and you could buy blow in the kitchen. I was nervous when it changed ownership, but the new owners have done a good job. The food is solid (especially the soups) and they pour a stiff drink. I'm happy they put in outside seating. The north shore has a serious lack of unpretentious bars, but Stormy's fits the bill. read more
