    Beer!

Meiers Tavern is a landmark business. You walk in, and it epitomizes the typical midwest tavern-bar. The decor is positively vintage. It's great. We had a couple of beers and ordered the Rubens with tater tots. The other way to go here is to order a burger. They are well known for their burgers. The fries were great, too. We will stop in for their Friday Fish Fry special. Service was very efficient and great. Oh- they are CASH ONLY, so bring some money with you.

A fun little 'neighborhood' bar. There is an old school feel to the bar, complete with artifacts from former breweries, beers and softball league trophies. Try the Reuben or Patty melt and enjoy a DAB on tap.

I live close to this place and have driven by it for months telling myself "self, you need to try it out". Mission accomplished! I tried the thing everyone suggests, cheeseburger with tots. I ordered it medium, it came well done. That appears to be common among taverns. The cheeseburger is a basic cheeseburger. The tots, were basic tots. Seasoning isn't really the selling point on these, it is the cash price. Cash... they only accept cash. They have an ATM though. My meal sans drink cost 10.45 without tax. I mean, that is very good for a sit down place. The atmosphere of this place is exactly what you'd expect from a roadhouse tavern. Lots of wood, checkered table cloths, and the noise of a manual cash register in the background. The TVs over the huge bar are not too big, and this is a throwback in nostalgia to the 1960s. Hamms beers signs, Blatz sign at the front door, and DAB and Old Style on tap. The patrons are definitely locals and there are plenty (about 1/2 capacity on a Saturday at 2) This is an experience. If you are in the neighborhood, it is worth stopping and having a beer and a burger. I may need to come back on Friday for the fish fry.

Definitely a neighborhood watering hole since 1933. Cash only with wondering if walls could talk what would they reveal. Friendly staff and pretty decent food! One star off for using styrofoam for plating.

Truly a sundown town type of bar. Terrible service. Mediocre food. Hard pass on my end.

Nice old school bar with great prices, perfect for after a round of golf. Stopped in on a whim and it was worth it.

The store is brightly lit and clean (almost sterile feeling) when you walk in, with plenty of tables for dine-in eating. There is a counter to order with menus on the wall. The menu is simple and straight forward, you pretty much have burger, chicken sandwich, or wings. They also have a boba menu with many flavors and they have a soft serve ice cream machine! My partner and I had stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner and we dined in. The gentleman who took our order was very kind and as it was my first time in, answered all my questions about the menu as I ordered. I got a chicken sandwich (but without whatever their signature spicy ... addition? topping? seasoning? is) and a strawberry boba. My partner got a ghost burger, loaded fries, and a pina colada boba. We grabbed a table to wait and the boba came out first. These are super delicious, I've never ordered a boba anywhere else and had it come out like these, but they are like blended and creamy and also some of the best "popping" or "tapioca" additions/mix ins that I've ever had. I went back the next day to get another strawberry boba it was so delicious. The food here is over the top good. The sandwiches and fries come out loaded and messy and in huge portions. The chicken sandwich is so moist and tender, they are definitely frying chicken right here. The house sauce is tasty, flavorful and not too spicy. Neither of us were able to finish our orders here (you really get your money's worth!) but we left stuffed to the brim. I'm so happy this spot is within walking distance for me, I can treat myself to their delicious boba any time, and we will definitely be back for more sandwiches. Thank you, Sizzle! We love having you in the community!

When you walk in you can tell it's a new restaurant, the sleek clean simple and modern design. What threw me off was not having someone there for a bit but then I realized there's a bell to ring for someone to come out. They are a halal restaurant which is so great to know and have. They have some great food specials. We got the blended Thai tea and it was decent, not too sweet. Overall a good experience, looking forward to coming back to trying other things on the menu.

There's complimentary valet parking on this busy street, but know you can also self-park in the parking garage half a block west. Attentive service and felt we were well taken care of. The dining area was still a bit sparse at 5-6pm on a Friday night. Pre-dinner bread was crusty and paired well with the olive oil and Parmesan it was served with. I indulged in the lychee martini ($14), and it packed more of a punch than I was expecting. Party time. Mocktails go for around $7. Extensive cocktail, beer, and wine list. My favorite Italian dish lately is pasta frutti Di mare. Here, they use a linguine, but I prefer it with a fettuccine noodle, and I could have used a scoop more of linguine. The fruit of the sea was definitely plentiful! I got about 12 mussels, 3 clams, 5 calamari, and 3 jumbo shrimp. The red tomato sauce was flavorful; for me personally, I prefer this dish with a white wine/white sauce to keep it a little lighter. I did love how my entree was served piping hot and stayed piping hot the entire time I ate it! Husband enjoyed his salmon filet over mashed potatoes. The lobster bisque was flavorful, though the tomato chunks within it were a little unexpected. We skipped dessert here, but there is a variety of cake/tortes and gelato. Will return in the future! P.S. easy reservations via Resy off the website!
