I am so thankful for Jackmans. My friend told me about them, and they've been getting our business for years. It's not a fancy place, but it's so nice to have a go-to guy that we know won't rip us off with repairs that our cars don't actually need. When I went in with a car I was considering buying, he checked it out for free. Yesterday I went in when my car was making an awful noise. It turned out to be something small - no charge. When the cars do need repair, he always charges us a fair and affordable amount. I totally feel comfortable bringing our cars here because I know he'll shoot straight with us. And you'll get to watch soaps in the sorta-dingy waiting room with the lady that runs the register. She's super sweet. Highly recommended. read more

The new owner is not a honest man. I took my jeep up there after getting a starter put on i had problems getting it started. He did not reset the computer nor did he check to make sure it ran. One day later i smell anti-freeze and take it up there and tell him to replace the thermostat and the back thermostat housing. He failed to replace the cracked thermostat housing instead he replaced the water pump. When he called to tell me he replaced the thermostat and the cost was 500 he then said the check engine light was on and to get it off and pass inspection it would be another 500. I picked up the jeep and told him i would being it back Friday. Instead it over heated and i called to tell him and then bought it back 2 days later. Then he tells me it has a blown head gasket and i needed a new motor. i ask what side its on and he could not tell me. I brought a ASE certified mechanic with me and we used his Code scanner and it nor my jeep had any history of any codes pulled up. He lied and please tell every one you know to stay away read more

These guys are great mechanics. They'll let you know exactly what's wrong and how much it will cost. I even came in here once thinking that something was wrong with my car and there wasn't anything wrong. They tightened some wires and sent me on my way, free of charge. He's been working on my vehicles for going on 10 years now. We have 3 trucks and a car, and he is one of the few people in the industry that will really work with you. On my wife's newer model Audi turbo, he always does the top notch service. On 2 of my older cargo work vans, he'll let me know if there's a less expensive way to get something to work. On my daily driver, which is half working vehicle and half personal, he'll make suggestions on the best way to go. He and his staff have done engine work, tires, oil changes, transmission work, fuel pumps, inspections, checked out vehicles I was going to buy for no charge, electrical problems, even helped us with getting a discount for a tow truck. My mother has used this auto shop for about 2 years and never had any issues. But recently there has been a change of the mechanics at the shop. Last month my mother took her 2000 KIA into this auto shop because it was not starting properly and at times wouldn't start at all. There was absolutely nothing else wrong with the car . The mechanic said the problem was the fuel pump and proceeded to remove it . Once removed he saw that there was nothing wrong with the fuel pump and then put the fuel pump back on. While removing and reinstalling the fuel pump the mechanic damaged the fuel pump. He didn't have the parts to replace the one he had damaged so he put the damaged pump back on and had my mother driving around in a vehicle that was now leaking fuel. My mother took the car back to the shop so they could repair the damage they caused. Long story short the shop refused to cover the amount it would cost to replace the damaged fuel pump. Offered to put some kind of sealant on the cracks and holes and send my mom on her way. This shop use to do good work but it has gone to the dogs. I am trying to get my mother to take them to small claims court. But shame on Jackmans Auto Shop for damaging a car, admitting they damaged it, then refusing to replace the damaged part. This place is horrible! I took my car to this man for a diagnostic and he did work without my permission and tried to make me pay for it. I have him on camera saying he did it also. The guy had a shirt that said Tyler. I had to call the police to get my vehicle from them! read more

I used to go here for my inspections but the last time I went they couldn't find my OBD port. It's apparently behind the ashtray which is in front of the shifter. Dennis came in asking if I had move the OBD, I told him no. The way he asked was condescending and downright rude like I was intentionally trying to make his job hard! Not my fault you can't find the port. I have been taking my business next door to City Tire and they treat their customers with respect. read more

I came in for my annual car inspection. Dennis was a complete ASSHOLE and rude. Told me their printer for the inspection computer was jammed and that I wouldn't get a print out for my vehicle. Told him I would leave because I needed a print out today to purchase my car registration tag and I don't live in town. He proceeded to do the car inspection. When I asked to see that my vehicle passed inspection, he got rude and told me I couldn't look at the screen. He tried to register my vehicle tag but I told him I wanted to verify that a grocery store could pull up the inspection report. Because I needed the tag today. I can't have it mailed to my house due to travel and it living in Dallas any longer. He got very aggravated and started yelling at me. Who does that!?!? I do not recommend this place unless you wanted to be treated like you're ignorant. Go down the street for better customer service. read more

Dennis is a fair guy. I asked him to inspect my car and he told me everything that was wrong with it. He could have added on to the list like many would have but he was honest. I told him I wanted 4new tires he told me I only needed 2 not to waste my money. Also he was very fair on prices. Brian was very honest and even stayed later than 6 bc I told him my son had to be at school and I needed my car fixed that night. He could have left at 6pm when they close. But he didn't. do not take your car here!!! do not take your car here, i repeat do not take your car here. i use to think this was a good repair shop but i found out the owner dennis takes the cheap route and charges you full prices. my car has always been in great working condition and i had never had any major problems until i started going to dennis over a year ago. my first clue should have been when his whole staff changed. long story short he charged me over a thousand dollars for things the dealership said i never needed and wasn't replaced. after i started having trouble with everything he suppose to have fixed i took my car to the dealer ship and found out he was using cheap oil and junk yard parts but charging me for new ones. i really trusted this guy and he took me to the cleaners. his staff is lazy and one guy was smoking a cigarette while working on my car for christ sake!. even the guy who refereed me to him over a year ago stop going to him, i wish he would have warned me before i came off of 1250 dollars! this shop has very bad customer service and can not be trusted!!!! read more
