I wish I took a photo of our food. Because I was once told, we should eat with our eyes first and I'm sure it would've been helpful for others too. I ordered the Fried Rice Special, with scrambled eggs. I definitely enjoyed my food, and had to order 2 extra hot dogs to complement the rice portion they gave. It tasted like a good, simple home cooked meal. We did come back here before heading back to the Mainland, and glad we did! A good short stop before or after a flight. I finally got to try this place out that I've been hearing about. I've tried a couple times and they're always closed every time I went. Overall pretty solid quick service even though it was pretty busy. The place seems a little old but I thought it was fine. The food is pretty good and affordable. Good sized portions was pretty full after just one of the plates. I got the dry mein, had lots of a flavor. And the loco moco with fried rice. Didn't expect the corn but it was still good. I was surprised at the lack of brunch options near Maui airport. We came here prior to our return flight to Sacramento. The place is a hole in the wall and I don't understand why it's called an Inn. The place looks 60's old decor, dimly lit with many small fans to augment the AC. There was a good amount of people there. The old lady server was nice and quickly took our order. The food came out in a few minutes and looked plain and simple. I got the corned beef hash breakfast. The corn beef was molded into a potato pancake and was not what I'm used to. The flavors were bland. My family pretty much had the same opinion. It's a decent place for breakfast and makes IHOP look like a fine restaurant. read more

A small mom & pop joint, family owned that gives excellent family quality food, healthy portions and a place you can actually afford!! Pricing is waaaay better than anything close to the resorts. THIS place though, I couldn't believe it, both my husband and I ate (leaving some food on the plate because we were full) and it was under $40 for the both of us... INCLUDING TIP!! WHAT!?!? That's UNHEARD OF! I'm from CA, you can't even get a McDonald's breakfast for under $40 for two people!! Ok. Ambiance... not the greatest, but what it lacks in style/modernization... it for sure makes up for in taste and serving portions! The service was fast, not friendly, but they did apologize (acknowledged it) and mentioned they were short handed today. So, I'm not gonna ding em for that. Just left this place, actually got asked to leave lol Story time: When we arrived, we was seated but was only offered 1 menu. Which was fine Couple min past, older Asian lady took our older. Waited for almost 5 min, coffee hasn't arrived. I see same lady making a new pot of coffee which I figured I should have one shortly instead she gives it to her lady friend who just barely walked thru the door. My husband who is a Maui native and has ate here since he was small decided to ask the lady that my wife is still waiting for her coffee. I love a place that has both a breakfast and lunch menu that allows you to order from both at any time during their open hours. Got their Super Dry Mein that comes with a bowl of saimin broth to enjoy. Regular service is a huge size. I ended up eating it for breakfast and save the rest for lunch. Saved a drive to Sam Sato's. Fried rice is one of my favorite things to eat so I have to try it everywhere I go. They sell side orders of it by the scoop. The place gives me diner vibes. If you're looking for an average local ma and pa breakfast spot then this is it. Super simple breakfast foods etc. staff was nice enough and quick. They lost two stars because they wouldn't substitute anything and I had to order something entirely different if I wanted hash browns instead of rice for example. They also didn't bring out any sugar or creamer when we asked for coffee, after about 10 min of waiting we stopped someone and asked if they had creamer and he said yes, but he brought out regular milk instead and no real sugar just Splenda.
