We ordered for pickup. It's less than a week since they opened, so the restaurant is very busy. I did not check the bag before I left, so that is my fault. When I got home (we live very close) I realized that one of our orders didn't make it into the bag. I called the restaurant and they let me know that they would have it ready for me to pick it up immediately, and they would take care of me next time- totally unnecessary as this could have been avoided had I checked my order before I walked out, or even in the car before driving away. Not only did they have the order freshly prepared, and they made an extra meal, just because- and also gave my daughter two cookies, and offered the gift of a complimentary meal on our next visit. The manager went above and beyond- when the fault was mine. My 9 year old daughter walked out talking about how kind he was, and is excited to go back. Excellent lunch spot. I love that there's healthy options. This place is new, and it was very busy and popular. We had the chicken sandwich and build your own salad. The chicken sandwich had good flavor. For build your own salad, there's lots of toppings you can put on your salad. All of the toppings were fresh. For my salad, I had the squash, cranberries, strawberries, cucumbers, and more. I had a mixture of mixed greens and spinach. I wish there was a spot like this in SoCal. I was unashamedly thrilled when I discovered Jack's was coming to my neighborhood. Every Jack's I've been to, the service has been great (especially for a casual sit-down spot) and the food has been fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. I went back to try this location yesterday and have to admit that the food was wonderful. I had a BLTA sandwich and the bacon was incredible. Sweet.....added to the overall taste to the sandwich. I had their fries to accompany it and they too were good. My husband ordered the sliced tri-tip with two sides. He loved the taste of the meat and he ordered sauteed vegetables and cheese toast. This time the cheese toast was not try and was very good. The sauteed vegetables were also good. Thank you JUE for giving me the gift to try again and I wanted to make sure I updated my original post. I attribute maybe the first time's disappointment to the fact that the place had just opened at this location and maybe it was staff training. So I highly recommend trying them in Carmichael. read more

I am so excited for the new Jacks! I went on opening day and had the chimichurri bowl on special. It was fantastic. It had cilantro lime rice, topped with sweet potatoes, tri tip chimichurri, fried shallots pickled red onions, arugula and cherry tomatoes. All of it was delicious. My mom had the Chinese chicken salad and the chicken was so moist! Cooked to perfection. Staff were all very friendly and were trained well for just starting out. Outdoor seating is nice but the road noise is loud. Inside seating is nicely decorated and the booths look comfy. Recently started eating here on my half days as it's on my way home. The staff is young and friendly. The kitchen looks coordinated and I never wait more than 10 minutes for my food even when the place is packed. I enjoy the buffalo chicken blue cheese sandwich with sweet potatoes. I often get a salad to go. Everything tastes fresh and well portioned. It's very neat here and the outdoor seating is nice. read more

I'm a regular customer, at least once a week. Sometimes things are off or wrong but today 75% or more of the tri tip in my sandwich was all grissel, no chewable meat. When the person cut it they had to know, and they said oh well. So my whole sandwich was not edible. Thanks for that. I won't be returning. read more

This one new Jacks in Carmichael seems to struggle with consistency. The soups and especially the Turkey Chili I tried today was cold and very little turkey. Same with the amount of meat on the sandwiches, the pulled pork sandwich was more slaw than meat. The wait at the register is always slow and only attended by one person even with two registers maybe they don't have enough trained staff. read more

This was my second time here since they opened and the service was crap place. My order online said that it would be ready at 6:45 walked in at 6:40. They told me they're finished and that they would call out the name when it was ready at the very first table closest to the counter facing the counter interacted with two different employees both of which knew I was there to pick up the order and I watched my order. Sit on the counter until almost 10 minutes past my pick up time finally went up to the counter and asked about it again and they laughed turned around, grabbed the bag and handed it to me. This place is a joke. We need managers on the floor because the people who are working in customer are not very well-versed and serving the customer much less paying attention to what's going on around them. read more

My review is almost certainly biased as this is my go-to restaurant chain, and I've frequented every one of their locations multiple times. The newest location is great, located inside a large shopping complex with plenty of parking, in a decently sized space. Service is excellent as always, and while there was a minor issue with my initial order here, management handled it promptly without solicitation. I've been eating great chicken clubhouse sandwiches for more than 70 years, so I know a thing or two about them. I had one last night at Jacks, and I must say it was one of the worst clubhouse experiences of my life. You people don't understand what makes a classic clubhouse. It's about layering the tastes. You failed to do that. The bread, a soft roll of some kind was not hard crunchy or toasted as it should have been. And not three slices which is de rigger. The bacon slices, what there were of them, were burnt or missing. I know bacon is expensive, but c'mon folks. And the chicken, wwhich should have been barbecued, was bland and had a processed look to it. And the pickle? Don't get me started on that. A good dill should not be that hard to find. We came here last night for the first time since this location opened up in my neighborhood. Ive been to other locations before, so I pretty much knew what to expect. They did seem to have some new menu items since the last time I ate at a Jacks Urban Eats. I got the chicken club sandwich, my wife got the buffalo crispy chicken sandwich, and my daughter got the tri tip kids meal, it came with a piece of cheese bread that looked amazing. My sandwich was very good, it was something that ive never had here before. My wife also liked her sandwich, and my daughter said she could eat hers everyday. I plan on coming back soon for a salad, they have the best ranch, but I also really want to try the bbq tri tip sandwich. It sounded really good! read more

I went on May 30,2026 to the Carmichael, Ca. location and was truly disappointed. I ordered the Tri tip plate with mac and cheese, and mash potatoes. No flavor what so ever. Food just as usual at Fulton Jacks was amazing with many more entrees to try. I have been to Jacks 3 times. The first 2 times I dined in with friends and had a wonderful meal, 5 star. Then I had work done on my house and had no kitchen , so I had to eat out. I always get food to go when I am on my own. My $20 sandwich was handed to me in a small plastic container, no napkin, bag,etc I said I also had fries with the order so he went to the window and grabbed some fries that had been sitting there for awhile. He opened the small container and crammed in the fries, he had trouble fitting them in, so grabbed the rest with his fingers and shoved them in to shut the lid. after a short drive home I found the fries cold and disfigured and the sandwich very dry. The food was not very flavorful, the fries and sandwich were soggy (yes we got takeout but we live minutes away from the location). The store was nice and clean, and the staff were friendly but the food was honestly not worth $40. I love Jack's, and have been a loyal patron for more than 20 years. However, this new way to order, where you don't make your choices in the line is disappointing. The choosing of your items on your salad is what made your restaurant different from the rest, it was a fun level of interaction with employees as a customer. Now, it's less personal and makes me feel like as a customer I'm not as important. Often times as restaurants grow, the small pieces of ambiance that set them apart, are what is often changed and that's sad. While I love the restaurant, simple things like this, not tossing to-go salads, giving customers a lower level of food or amount and charging more are all reasons that many longtime customers I speak with are not giving you business. read more

As it has been for many years Jacks offers a good selection of tasty stuff to eat. Unfortunately what they don't offer is an enjoyable dining experience. To start with walking in the door if you happen to walk i to the line, an employee will likely tell you are in the wrong place to order, why not provide a simple sign. Secondly as I appreciate young people wanting to be employed, the service face to face is terrible. When placing my last order the employee couldn't bother to stop her conversation with fellow employees to hand me a receipt. In general the vibe is: we don't care about you as you spend $50 for a meal and prompt you for a tip while you stand in line to order your own food. Please, whomever manages this place: figure out how to train and hold employees accountable for bad service. read more

This is my third visit since I attended the soft opening. The soft opening was good. We were in and out in an hour. The only problem was they forgot the Mango Salsa on my Cajun Chicken Sandwich. My second visit was to go and was great. Today my visit was not so good. I ordered online. When I got home my Steak Salad was missing the blue cheese and my Urban fries were soggy and only had about 1/2 the urban when I purchased extra urban. I have never placed an order of urban fries online and not received the toppings on the side. So if you order Urban Fries make sure you specify on the side if you don't want to get home with soggy inedible fries and be sure to check your order before you leave. read more

The manager Aaron thought outside the box and was able to deliver to meet my eating individuality. It was really just a simple sub of raw veggies for the cooked ones listed on the menu.
