Saturday, 8/15/2026 - we tried Serritella'a Ristorante & Pizzeria on 6241 Fair Oaks Blvd Ste D, Carmichael, CA 95608. This is located in the Milagro plaza. There's plenty of parking here. Restaurant shares this space with a sushi restaurant literally right next to it. Staffs were very nice. Water tasted great. Our waitressc was professional and nice. Everyone was smiling and friendly. We got the combination dinner plate for $23. It was a great way to try 3 different things. This was good. The Ravioli was ok. Not too good. But the rest was great tasting. We got some skinny, warm bread sticks with butter. Bread was... meh. Could have been better. They have dessert at the counter you can buy. But we didn't get any. We wanted gelato next door for dessert. It was quiet. Ambiance was nice. Easy to hear each other. Mood light. Over all, this restaurant was nice. The foods were just ok. But love the friendly and nice staffs. Oh! I saw they charged an extra charge on my receipt. A "Non Cash Adjustment Fee" of $0.89. Don't know what that is. I know its only a little. But wasn't too thrill to see that. Wish they made it known there will be extra charges. That's all. read more

Elderflower martini was delicious. Coffee was good. (Decaf was not available!) Service was prompt and the waiter was very personable. Now the negatives: furniture was in poor repair;; kitchen was noisy due to the sounds of crashing plates; the veal was tough; the server didn't come around to refill our water; the pasta, although good, was served without a large spoon.; and of course, as mentioned by others, 4% was added onto the bill for payment by credit card. read more

I really had a great time here. I went with a friend and was just so happy with the super fun staff, the really good food, the open - yet cozy atmosphere, and the peanut butter! We split the special watermelon salad entree and the cheese ravioli entree and both took food home. I love a place where the chef gets to add specials AND does the basics so well. If you haven't been to Serritella's yet, it's definitely worth a visit. I ordered the pesto pasta and it was delicious. I skipped adding protein (meat has just not been it for me lately), and honestly, it didn't even need it--the flavor carried on its own. My only tiny complaint? It said it came with sun-dried tomatoes... and I think I counted three. But even with that, the dish still hit. My wife ordered the chicken parmesan and said it was bomb. Of course I had to try a bite--and she wasn't lying. The flavors were all there, no notes, no "I wish it had this or that"--just solid. I also had the white sangria and let me tell you... that alone is worth coming back for. So good. We sat out on the patio, got greeted right away, and our waitress was attentive, kind, and just added to the whole experience. She even offered dessert, but we were so full we had to pass--and that's saying something because banana cream pie is one of my favorites. Bonus: she's the one who makes it. I love a good family-style spot like that. We'll definitely be back... and next time I might just order a salad so I can save room for that pie read more

We have been coming to this Milagro Plaza for a long time but never tried this restaurant. We usually eat at Mesa Mercado but decided to try Italian food. Ordered a salad and tortellini and a small spaghetti with meatball. The salad was so simple, was not expecting a salad like that in a place like this. Even the dressing wasn't good. The tortellini was was presented so sloppy and couldn't taste the Gorgonzola. My spaghetti and meatballs was okay, it lacked salt and pepper and flavor overall. The spaghetti was overcooked. Service was okay but not memorable. This restaurant is in a great location has a look like a high end restaurant but without the great service, good food and is lacking that wow factor. In good faith I cannot recommend it. Giving it two stars with the hope the manager will see what needs fixing and make this place a star one day!!! read more

Met some friends there for dinner. We hadn't been to Serritella's in many, many years and that was of course at the old location. It was always great food. Food was wonderful tonight. We had the delicious breadsticks (with peanut butter - by request now) and our friend ordered fried polenta with meat sauce for a starter for us all to share. Yummy. I had Chicken Parmesan with creamy polenta it was so good, and a large enough serving that I cut it in half and brought the rest home for dinner tomorrow. My husband had the combination with beef ravioli, cheese tortellini, and lasagna. He also brought half of his dish home too. Our friend had meatballs and spaghetti and boxed up half to take home before she even started to eat. Her husband ordered the veal piccata and ate every bit. We all loved our meals. The service was excellent from the minute we walked in the door. We were so well taken care of by everyone. It won't be long before we return. read more

Love it here! We come all the time because they are always fast and efficient with great service members who make you feel at home. I am leaving a review today specifically because we came to Milagro on a Monday for the Gelato place only to notice they were closed. We headed over to our favorite Serritella's as we know they have ice cream. They didn't hesitate to get us a to go order of ice cream with sprinkles!! We sat outside after with our to go cup and they even came out and handed us some waters since it was a warmer day. Safe to say they always go above and beyond and we will continue to come back for not only the great food but the incredible service! read more

We ate there a couple days ago. It was a good meal. Not great but far from bad for sure. Staff was friendly and attentive. But totally turned off by the experience at the end of the meal. When the bill came, and it was for a bit over $100, it came with a big surprise. They charged us an extra $10 for using a credit card to pay. Really, most restaurants build that into their pricing structure on their menu. And they certainly used to. I would think most people use a credit card. So that night, I didn't have cash to avoid the $10 service fee. Definitely felt gouged because their cost on a credit card transaction (I believe) is 2.9%. But they're charging almost 10% .... seemingly turning this function into a profit maker. Walked out of the restaurant feeling big-time taken advantage of for sure. read more

Won't Go Back: On being shown to our booth, I was rather surprised to see the seat cushions in the booths were all peeling of the vinyl and the cloth was exposed. It was pretty shabby looking like they were 20 years old! I said something and the waitress blamed it on the 'young people' and the buttons on their pants and buckles on their belts - huh??? Drinks: Very good, two of us enjoyed the Moon Water, a cocktail with mulled blueberries, that didn't look mulled, but they enjoyed it. My Elderflower martini was too sweet and couldn't really taste the gin. Ordered Angel's Ink Pinot which tasted more like a cab, but for $13/glass what did I expect. Our meal came within 5-10 minutes. I was rather surprised. Wondering if the food is premade and warmed up. Meals: Seafood Combo to include clams, shrimp, mussels and scallops with a clam tomato cream sauce. It had ONE mussel in the middle of the dish on top, very SMALL cut-up pieces of clams, some small round balls of scallops and about six shrimp. The sauce was okay, but not especially flavorful. I substituted angel hair for linguine. There certainly was a huge portion, but more seafood would have been preferred. Scaloppine a Marsala with veal: the veal was so tough it had to be cut with a steak knife. When asked by the waitress how it was, we said it was VERY tough/chewy. She graciously put in another order. Unfortunately, there wasn't much difference in the texture. The sauce was good and so was the polenta, but we were paying for the veal. We didn't take any of the leftover and there was plenty. Pizza: Cheese, mushrooms, and Canadian bacon: Paid $6 for the two extra toppings. Where were the toppings??? The pizza was overdone, blackened on the bottom and the crust was like biting into a cracker. Two big bubbles that created a depression near the crust were devoid of any cheese or toppings. Breadsticks: White and powdered with too much flour, but at least they were warm. The garlic butter was very good. Service: Like many restaurants they charge a fee to use a credit card. It came out to 4%. They re making money on that. The companies do not charge that much. That is crazy. We brought cash for this reason but with the tax of $10 and tip, we didn't have enough to cover the bill, so had to use a credit card. $5.50 more to the bill. One of my favorite dinner spots! We recently moved to Fair Oaks and had been having a tough time finding good local Italian food. One day we tried Serritella's and it was that day I knew we had found our favorite local Italian food. The quality of the food here is outstanding. Everything from the salads, to entrees to the deserts are fantastic. Truly some of the best Italian food around. Loudness: 80 decibels. Wednesday night and only about 50% full. 80 decibels is equal to being near a running lawnmower. As usual, the food was superb! I had the Half and Half: Beef Ravioli and Cheese Tortellini. My dining companion had Scaloppine Ala Marsala with chicken as his protein. The food was full of flavor and generous portion sizes. The bread sticks are my favorite here! Our server was attentive and very helpful. This was the first time dining here for my companion and the server was very helpful directing him through the menu. It's tough for a restaurant to control the ambience here, but Serritella's does a good job by keeping the lights a little low and building out booths with tall backs. read more

The place is kind of hidden in the plaza in a way, we found this place driving by. As we entered, the staff was really friendly and seated us right away. The place was kind of empty. The booths were pretty outdated. The leather was pretty much scratched off the seats. It didn't seem very sanitary to sit on honestly. I hope they get that replaced soon! The food was great, especially for the price. The kids menu was super cheap and it was not noted on the menu that there was hidden vegetables in the macaroni cheese, which I liked! The calamari was seasoned well and had a really good dipping sauce. I'm not sure what it was, but it was delicious and addicting. Once I found on the menu that there was a smaller portion plate I went for it. The spaghetti was great. Just the meatball needed a little bit more seasoning. Pleasantly surprised by this place! First off, all of their pastas can be made gluten free and they confirmed whether it was an allergy or preference to address possible cross contamination. Huge win right there! We were a party of 4 and got 4 different dishes plus an appetizer to try a variety. We started with polenta appetizer. I thought it was just okay- but my mom ate the whole thing basically herself and proclaimed "I can't stop eating this!" Lasagna- huge rectangular serving. Spicey red sauce but usband demolished the whole thing. 1 meat/1 cheese Ravioli- again Spicey red sauce but my parents enjoyed it Primavera GF- delicious! I ate the entire serving. Got the seafood combo sub angel hair noodles. Cooked perfectly, amazing flavor, perfect amount of sauce, clam and scallop. My only gripe is that I would love if there were two or three more shrimp. With that being said the sauce was amazing. The service was killer, everyone is so friendly and so accommodating! They let you make substitutions for different pasta, even gluten free. The waitress didn't check in with us at all during that time. We weren't impressed with the food. They serve small portions and weren't very tasty - it lacked salt and seasoning in general. We asked for table salt and pepper to help the taste. The bread we had in the beginning was good - nice and warm. We got the chicken Alfredo and pesto pastas. We've eaten at Seritella's at least 6-7 times and it's time for me to leave a review. I think they may have a new manager or supervisor because in the past the previous manager gave us a little attitude,... but this time around was different. The older gentleman was awesome and his service was 10+! He brought us breadsticks for free on the house and tended to us with water refills, ranch refills etc. Pizza was very delicious and bottom was perfectly cooked. From the Chicken Alfredo to the pepperoni & ham/pineapple they all tasted great! Noise and ambience level was perfect with not too much noise. If I was to leave a review 6-7 month ago I'ld of left 3 star review but based on my experience yesterday 2/16/25 it was a 5 star! I'll definitely be back soon. read more

Delicious food, new chef, old school service, but with high prices and no proportionate appreciation for repeat clientele. This is one of those places where the longer you've been eating there, the greater the assumption that you'll be willing to wait. But wait... Bonnie revived Milagro Centre and brought the ambience to this venue. She's a wonderful human being, but if she's not there, the service can be inconsistent (understandable if it's busy). On a Friday evening, set aside some time to hang out or call ahead if you're ordering to go. Sometimes, it's not as packed, but the service remains slow. For the prices that are charged here, "hit or miss" isn't acceptable. Although the space is shared with a sushi restaurant, it's not okay to order sushi and sit at Serritella's. I have mixed opinions on this. On one hand, a "food court" concept does minimize the impact that a classy Italian eatery brings to the table. But why not collaborate with another restaurateur for an international experience? What if someone in the group isn't in the mood for pasta and could go for some sashimi? Isn't there a way to manage this when it's not too busy? Isn't cooperative marketing an option here? Hey, I don't own the place and it's tough to survive in this competitive world. This review is not intended to discourage anyone from sampling the Serritella's menu, particularly since there's a new chef in town with additions such as risotto arancini and specials like beef bourguignon with creamy polenta (yum!). If you haven't tried this restaurant, by all means, check it out. It's not as wonderful as it once was, and maybe that's the problem. However, parking is much more plentiful than at the old location across the street (now home to School of Rock). Also, Serritella's is willing to switch up the menu and break tradition to some extent. If I could give it another half star, I would. Bottom line...eat here, and decide for yourself. Serritella, yup that's Italian for to prune or trim down. Fits well, with such a large open space, the menu is quite concise with many traditional and contemporary Italian entrees. Perfect with a pairing wine list and garlic butter to flavor those breadsticks on the table. Give them a try for lunch or dinner, and while you're at it, peruse the gelato place next door for dessert. read more

We had our monthly women's group here. The atmosphere is open and lovely. Everyone liked their food. We tried the spinach and cheese tortellini with gorganzola sauce, which was light and delicious. A couple people had the eggplant Parmesan which they loved, and a polenta dish that had a ton of veggies. I would get that one next time. Both the server and bartender were attentive and friendly. I ordered the seafood linguine. If it was advertised as shrimp linguine that's one thing, but "seafood" is a gross exaggeration... especially for $28! While there were several decent sized shrimp, there was one mussel and four very small bay scallops. If they were clams, I missed them. Very disappointed in this dish. read more

The restaurant is part of an open concept and attached to other restaurants and bar and community event center. The food was good we dined in a Tuesday. We ordered a bowl of their award winning Clam Chowda only served on Tuesdays & Fridays. We shared the fried polenta cakes we chose the spicy red sauce. So came a few weeks later and my opinion has not changed much. Somehow food was not stellar. The appetizer was just warm but edible the pasta plate was cold and the noodles were raw. How does a chef put something like that out. It was just wrong. We sent the plates back and he recooked them and this time they came out warmer than the appetizer and the pasta was edible but not great. The service was better but when you come in at 4:30 pm, and it is mostly empty, I expect that service would be good. That said the staff does still congregate in one place chatting....at the host desk this time. The energy is off in this restaurant it's like they don't care one way or the other and management doesn't seem to mind. I won't be back for a very long time. read more

Unlike last weeks "salt forward" utterly ridiculous Carbonara experience at Sampino's on Broadway, last night's experience at Serritella's was great. Seven of us went there for my son's birthday. My wife accidentally ordered the wrong item on the menu, but started to eat it anyways and not complain since she ordered it wrong. The waitress was fantastic, she said no problem, and made up an order of eggplant Parmesan for her to take home, which is what she really wanted. Obviously at no additional charge. My husband and I have been going to Serritella's for decades, and that ends now. We will not be back. We had dinner there last night, and ordered a $35 Sangiovese. Didn't find out til today that the Gitone Sangiovese is only available for sale at (drum roll, please) Trader Joe's FOR ONLY $4.99 A BOTTLE! Serritella's, where do you get off reselling it for 7 times the retail price?! That's ridiculous! The other thing that we didn't like was when we got the bill for dinner. This restaurant is now charging a higher price if you use a credit card, because (as our waitress explained) a lot of restaurants in Carmichael are doing this, like Rice Bowl. What the heck?! I'm on the fence, I want to give them four stars for the service and the gnocchi. But unfortunately I didn't enjoy either of the entrees I ordered. At 4:00 on a Tuesday they were empty! But as we finished around 5:00 they began to fill with customers. The restaurant itself was very large and beautifully designed. It has a large bar in the center that you can sit at as well as many tables and booths. Our waiter was wonderful. He served us everything we asked for in a very timely manner and was very kind. :) The gnocchi with Gorgonzola was to die for. Get it, get it, get it! The appetizer bread seemed undercooked to me. I wish it had been toasted more. As an entree I ordered the Saltimbocca - Chicken with prosciutto in a Dijon and mozzarella sauce. The sauce reminded me of hollandaise. Very thick and definitely mustard-y. Not my favorite. It came with cheese ravioli which was actually very tasty, but it was lukewarm. :( I also tried fettuccini Alfredo which was just okay. The sauce just wasn't very flavorful. The chicken Parmesan was good, but the crust wasn't very crispy. Overall, the entrees were just okay. Using a gift certificate that was given to us, my Dad, husband, and I came to Serritella's for dinner one evening. We were promptly seated and provided with breadsticks. We decided to start with an order of bruschetta to share, and we each ordered a different dish, so we could sample a little bit of everything. The bruschetta was unlike any other we had ever had before, and we all agreed that the stray from traditional was not our favorite. It had some sort of spreadable cheese on it, which traditional bruschetta does not. It almost tasted like cream cheese and did not work for us. For my dish, I decided to order the primavera. My husband ordered ravioli, and my dad ordered the lasagna. All in all, the pasta dishes were average. Nothing spectacular and nothing out of the ordinary that would make us drive out of our way to come back. The layout of the restaurant is a little strange with it being two different restaurants housed in the same building. The space is large and modern, but didn't set a distinctive ambience. read more

My wife and I recently moved to Carmichael and were craving Italian food. I did a quick search for places near us and had a hard time finding anything but pizza places. Serritella's was close so we headed there hoping for best. .. .Yes they serve pizza and we will try theirs when we are in the mood. We were greeted immediately by a very cheerful hostess and escorted to a table. We were given 3 menus, one with the pizzas, one with their specialty cocktails and craft beers (non-craft too but I don't drink those), and another with their entrées and sides. Our waitress swung by and asked us if we needed more time. We told her we were new to the area and she excitedly welcomed us. She shared a little history of the restaurant and also how the chef had added new things to the menu. We wanted to try a variety of pasta so we ordered the combo, selecting lasagna, tortellini and spaghetti all with a meat sauce and a side of meatballs. Everything was absolutely delicious. The pasta was all cooked perfectly and the meat sauce was very flavorful. Even though we were absolutely stuffed, we couldn't pass up desert. My wife ordered their Profiteroles and I got the chocolate mouse cake. These were the tallest Profiteroles we have ever seen! The pastry was nice and airy, stuffed with vanilla ice cream and loaded with whipped cream. We struggled to finish eating our dessert. My chocolate mouse cake was one of the best I have had. I've lived nearby for years but never stopped in until tonight, and I'm so glad I finally did. I wouldn't call myself an Italian food expert, but I've had my fair share, and this place really stands out. The service was prompt and just right for the atmosphere--quiet, clean, and very welcoming. Ben was our server, and he absolutely nailed it. He made thoughtful suggestions to enhance our meal without feeling like he was trying to upsell us, which I really appreciated.
