My new favorite sandwich spot! I got the Chicken Chipotle and the Ultimate -- both come with your choice of salad or macaroni salad and a cookie (we love a complete meal moment). You can also choose between regular sandwich bread or a Dutch roll. The price point is solid, that's usually how I determine if it's "justified" lol... ifykyk. I have to say though that the chicken chipotle sandwich didn't have as much meat as I thought it would but the flavor was really good! I kept hearing that Good Deli Eats had the best sandwiches in Carmichael--apparently that's not even up for debate. So I figured I'd see what all the hype was about. When I walked in, the lady at the counter greeted me in the most unique way possible: by staring at me in silence until I made it to the register. Eventually, I got a menu and ordered the Turkey Chipotle and Chicken Pesto Club. I have to give credit where it's due--the sandwiches were delicious. The Chicken Pesto Club was packed with flavor, the marinated chicken was juicy, and the bacon tied everything together perfectly. The Turkey Chipotle was so good I went back for the second half later. That's when I got an unexpected extra ingredient: a long hair in my sandwich. Nothing kills a craving faster than that. As someone who works in the food industry, that's a pretty big miss and instantly ruined my appetite. Cookie? Mac salad? Straight to the trash. First time in Good Eats Deli and we were pleasantly surprised by our choices . Everything is hand made and baked fresh daily. We ordered the club sandwich and the pastrami Ruben with red sauerkraut (which is made in house and delicious) the breads are baked daily and the meals came with a small portion of macaroni salad and a chocolate chip cookie. Service is excellent and the restaurant is very clean. We left full and are looking forward to our next visit. read more

It's called good eats deli, but it should be called. Great eats deli! Here's a picture of half my sandwich, which is enough to eat in itself, but it was so good. Such a cute spot! It's a small little sandwich shop but they do have some tables on the inside. I got their chicken pesto basil sandwich which comes with a small side of mac salad and a delicious chocolate chip cookie. I also got a soda and in total it was about $20 which is also including tip. The service was great and quick! I really commend coming checking this place out! I'll definitely be coming back to try some other sandwiches! read more

Finally got to try this cute little sandwich shop! We walked in and immediately smelled fresh bread and were greeted by a sweet woman who gave us menus. I got the club on Dutch. My husband got the ultimate club. It was delicious! I LOVE me some crunchy toasty bread. My husband, however, likes it a little less toasty so he's gonna do the regular French next time. Our sandwiches also came with pasta or regular salad, we both got the pasta salad and weren't disappointed! We also got a free cookie that was pretty good! Overall we will be back! 3.5 stars; Stopped in because I saw good reviews and was in the neighborhood. Very typical small sandwich shop. Great for a quick lunch. Quick service. They take tap and cash. Good sandwich, great cookie, not a fan of the Mac salad so next time I'll get the spring salad. Large menu with lots of variety and drinks in a case. Even some cool bottled sodas. This is a solid little sandwich place. The prices and service are great. The bread was amazing! So fresh and soft and delicious. We got a tuna melt and a breakfast burrito. I feel with a few tweaks this place could be a 5. The tuna was great quality and very good. Some tweaks to the sandwich would be using thinner slices of crescent cut onions not small chunks (the sandwich does not come with onions but we asked for onions, I would advise this for any sandwich) Also not using chopped romaine for the lettuce, a leaf lettuce or iceberg would be better. But the sandwich was delish and I would order again. The breakfast burrito, it was lacking something, maybe onions and peppers? It could use more filling, I'd be willing to pay more for a fat burrito. I also did not care for the salsa that was on it. The Mac salad needs some seasoning. It didn't really have any flavor. The cookie was good. I would definitely go back, but like I said a few tweaks and this place would be top tier. They are super nice and welcoming. read more

I heard that this was a great neighborhood deli. I decided to try it. There are a few tables outside and seating inside. The interior is clean and bright. They have a display of the sandwich breads and other items they offer to go with your order. Customer service is excellent! Very friendly and welcoming. The menu has a good variety of sandwiches. I chose the extreme Italian on a dutch crunch roll to go. You have a choice of a spring salad or macaroni salad in addition to a warm soft cookie. The spring salad was fresh and tasted great with the balsamic vinegarette. All was DELICIOUS! I'd also like to mention that they pack your to go order very nicely. I observed that they have pickup/delivery. The sandwich was enough for 2 people. With the complementary fresh side salad and cookie, the $13 price is well worth this abundant meal. The employees warmly greeted me and handed me a menu, I had looked online at the menu previously so I had an idea of what I wanted but it was nice that they were so helpful and accommodating when I walked in. I ordered the natural veggie sandwhich on Dutch crunch, the sandwich came with a choice of side of garden salad or macaroni salad. I went with the macaroni salad. You also get a cookie with your order! There were several choices of spread I ended up choosing chipotle mayo. The sandwhich bread was nice and toasted, loaded with fresh veggies and delicious cheese. I want to start up by saying that I found out about this restaurant months ago, when my family and I were eating at divided sky Tavern. I only did a pick up order at Good Eats Deli, and the food was delicious. I had a turkey and avocado, while my wife Sokny had a pastrami, extreme sandwich, and my Mother had the club sandwich. I could be wrong, but the owners of the restaurant were Mediterranean, that had the food already prepared by the time I got to the restaurant, and provided excellent service. The ambiance was quiet. Probably no more than 10 person capacity for sitting, so the primary goal for pick up orders. The restaurant is only open for a few hours per day. Primarily for lunch, but if you get a chance to eat there, take it. read more

I tried this place for delivery as we were knee-deep in a project at the house. I got there tuna sandwich on sourdough and my fiancé got in Italian sandwich. Both were super good. We finally stopped in to try their sandwiches. We both ordered the ultimate club on their fresh baked Dutch crunch bread. My husband had his with the pesto mayo and I had the chipotle mayo. We both had the macaroni salad. The sandwiches were a good size with plenty of meat. The macaroni salad was pretty good and so was the chocolate chip cookie that came with our sandwiches. I cannot say enough good things about this deli! I never knew pastrami could taste like this. The pastrami extreme sandwich is absolutely scrumptious. I was looking for a spot that would meet both me and my boyfriend's expectations. He loves his breakfast food and I sometimes don't. I found this spot and decided to give it a try! We walked into the establishment and were welcomed by this sweet lady. She told us the breads were baked fresh daily. Came in with my husband for lunch after a tough morning and neither of us had the energy to cook. The lady behind the counter was very considerate and attentive. She noticed we here having a hard time reading the menu on the wall and handed us a couple of paper menus. I ordered the chicken Mediterranean sandwich and he ordered the smoked turkey sandwich. Everything about both of these sandwiches were delicious. The bread they were on was absolutely lovely. They also had a spring mix salad on the side with what I believe was a balsamic vinaigrette. The dressing is strong so a little goes a long way. The greens were fresh and a nice compliment to the sandwich. Very small but cute interior with a place to sit outside as well. We enjoyed our order aside from noticing that portions appeared to be smaller (see images of the fair oaks burger and carrot cake). During this visit we noticed that there was a discrepancy with the charges. We asked a server because our server was busy attending to other tables and we needed to pay. We were told that it had to do with an automatic "service charge" and the other was if you paid cash you get a dollar off? For example, the Lido Shuffle on the menu says $16.95 but on the receipt we were charged $17.46 and then the burger stated $12.95 but on the receipt it was $13.34. We just think that there can be better transparency as to why there is an upcharge on items. Or they can perhaps update the menu?? When we asked the server, it appeared as though she did not know truly know the answer. While we like the food here, despite the decrease in portions, it's important for customers to know what they are paying instead of being misled.

What a cute and charming little deli! The sandwiches were absolutely delicious and such a great value. Each sandwich comes with a side and a cookie, and let me tell you - that cookie was incredible! The salad dressing was also a standout. The guy taking my order was super friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. My only hiccup was that the sandwich I ordered didn't mention mustard as an ingredient, so I didn't think to ask for 'no mustard.' I absolutely cannot stand mustard, so when I saw that bright yellow glob, I was a bit disappointed. I'm sure I could've asked them to remake it, but I'll take part of the blame for not being more specific. Thankfully, I just scraped it off and made it work. Stumbled upon this amazing family owned deli. Let me tell you this was the best sandwich I have ever had in Sacramento. The owners were so friendly and welcoming. They bake their own rolls, make their own spreads and all sandwiches come with a side salad. I got the pastrami extreme on a French roll that had just come out of the oven. This would even be a great place to take out of town guests considering all the fun stuff that's nearby. Right across the street you have a Bingo Hall, batting cages and fu shops like a thrift store. You can go to the nearby food truck plaza for an after lunch coffee or sweet treat. I also like that you can order at the counter, so it takes a little bit of stress off of who's gonna pay the bill when the check comes. It's just predetermined and it all happens right out front! Every time we've been here, the customer service has also been really good!

I have thought about trying it for sometime, and Sunday was the day. I got my person off of his computer game and we drove down to a decently busy drive through, so we decided to go inside as we wanted to review the menu anyways. The restaurant was clean and cute, almost set up like a little diner. THIS PLACE HAS EVERYTHING. or at least every fast food type item I wanted to see on the menu. We ordered chicken strip basket, a jalapeño burger, a chocolate shake and fried zucchini. There was at least 40 other things on the menu that I wanted to order, but figured this was a solid order for our first time. There was a little confusion with the cashier over the jalapeño burger, but I refuse to dock stars for a cashier who looked like they were still in training. The important part of the mix up, was the chef came out to clarify exactly what we wanted, so it was never really a problem to begin with. That chocolate shake has been living in my head rent free ever since, because it was perfect. The jalapeño burger (we ended up with 3 patties instead of two, per the menu confusion) basically brought tears to my partners eyes because it was so perfect. And they actually season their fries!!! I would give 6 stars if I could. Don't sleep on this gem. Whether you would call it a drive in or just fast food it is AWESOME.

We've had Burger Shack on our list for a while. We love stopping by old school drive in type burger…read moreshops for a no frills, just good food experience. We stopped in later in the evening for dinner and got the mushroom cheeseburger combo ($12.99), the Pastrami Cheeseburger combo ($14.99), cheese curds ($5.99) and fried okra ($5.99). They gave us our drinks right away and they have the nice crushed ice that's like tiny pebbles. It's always a treat when a spot has this ice because it's tiny and crunchy and not offered a lot. The food didn't take too long and came out on a tray for our dine in experience. There are plenty of booths here and during our visit there were a lot of other people enjoying meals in small groups and couples. The food was hot and fresh and the fries were nicely cooked crinkle cut fries. The fried okra as good, but needed a bit more seasoning or sauce to dip (we had ranch). The cheese curds were great, hot and the cheese was perfectly melty. My husband got the mushroom cheeseburger with just mushrooms, cheese, pickles and added bacon. He said it was a good burger and satisfied his craving, but isn't something he'd specifically seek out. I got the pastrami burger with everything on it and thought it was delicious, but the pastrami was a bit overcooked and dried out so the texture was a bit hard to bite through with the burger and I found myself eating the pastrami separately from the burger. There's plenty of parking here and they have a drive through. I heard the milkshakes are great, so if we stop by again we'll try one.
