Overall, super clean and well maintained. Great service entering and at the concession stand, with…read morereasonable prices. It's been a few years since we've been here, and this theater has been kept up well. Specifically to the IMAX experience: : no recliners!! Comfortable seats that do rock some, but wow do I miss not being able to recline. A bit uncomfortable after a while, and with a 2 1/2 hour movie plus 20 minutes of previews and commercials...ugh. Sound was amazing, I'll add that. But overall, great place to see a movie.

Regal has pulled a surprising turnaround... about three years ago it was a fat two stars for me and…read moredown in the dumps... clearly new management I think is in the works... it's cleaner... there is friendlier staff. Things seem more ALIVE!! Activities and charity. New stuff that isn't just your standard movies, anime and opera and so much more... I LOVE THE MEMBERSHIP IDEA! $25 a month to see unlimited movies? (Mostly!) That's a date night win for me!!! There was fun music playing in the concession area... adult drinks say what? Pizza??????? Caramel corn popcorn??? Lots of food upgrades really... yum yum... there are still some dated things.. YES there are long previews - but - plan accordingly people... you book your seat, so show up 10 minutes later or go get some upgraded snacks and support the staff that way... Okay... small rant... Hey fellow movie goer... pick up your trash please - we can all be a bit more kind and classy rather than toss it on the floor?? I heard/saw this on the way out of a flick from parent to kiddos - that is NOT "job security" clearly for these few folks that work there... especially when there are clearly garbage cans there on the way out geez... do people leave trash all over work site saying it's YOUR job security?? Now that's just my opinion and maybe it's how I was raised you leave a place as you found it (or better). These folks probably have enough on their hands making sure you have good fresh food and keeping movie going kids from being crazy chicken jockies and who knows what else goes on.

The only game in town. (RIP Sunset, I wish that I had known you, but I was just a kid, that didn't…read morelive in Lodi yet.) When it sells out, time to go to Stockton or EG. This did happen to me once in the last six or so months I've lived here. My buddy and I had to go to Stockton for Zootopia, which had been out for months by that point. So, the only game in town means plan ahead. I've never seen it dead here before. So far. What do I know, these aren't the reviews you're looking for. Move along. Lol I do love reviewing the cinema though. Lodi 12 is usually a happening spot when I come. And it is at least competitive with other theatre chains in the area. It is part of the Santa Rosa Cinemas, a smaller family-run business that has, from what I can tell, a handful theatres in Central (and Ventura?) California. Though it's probably not much older than me, the building has a bit of a retro feel, with big lobby windows in a semi-circle and bright yellow marquee at night. I am a sucker for a retro cinema if you've read my other movie theatre reviews, but any cinema with character will be appreciated by me. The only upgrade I would prefer would be to get rid of the need to print a paper ticket, even if you buy online ahead of time. Whoever is cheaping out on a scanner for QR codes, get with it and save some trees. It would even be okay if they were old school ticket stubs for the nostalgia (I love cinema nostalgia and will go out of my way for it), at least they would look pretty in my novelty shadowbox, but nah, they're just receipt roll paper. Alas I digress; I don't like wasting time doing that when I could be in line for popcorn or taking a selfie with Heathcliff. Some auditoriums are nicer than others but I believe all have recliners and the little swivel tables that make me feel like a baby. I have not seen any evidence of wear and tear on the seats like in some of these pictures on here, eesh. They have multiple screens that utilize Dolby Atmos / Ultimate Digital Cinema surround sound, and at least one auditorium that has Real D 3D for the 3D enjoyers. As a four eyes, making myself a six eyes for the rare, usually James Cameron backed adventure is about all I care to partake of. Sound and screens are great and have been recently upgraded. I do enjoy coming here and feel the amenities are satisfactory. Snack and food selection is good, and the popcorn is fresh. They have a wine and beer kiosk as well, though we usually come after a meal and thus have not yet partaken of libations here. This cinema is in downtown Lodi, and does not have a parking lot. Street parking is usually not far away. Maybe see you later for another totally necessary screening of My Dad and His Son Baby Yoda. This is the way.

First visit to this theatre and what a pleasant surprise…read more This theatre is part of a conglomerate of other theaters and so much cleaner, customer friendly and up to date. The only grumble I have is not providing the flavored cheeses like the other sister locations. You can purchase where that doesn't happen in the Santa Rosa theaters.

Even though this movie theater was here long before the one at the Palladio, I still think of this…read morespot as Folsom's "secret", lesser-known, theater. And if I do go see a movie these days, I check the showtimes here first. So this theater is directly across the street from the Folsom Outlets, tucked in the back. It's walking distance from a Taco Express, a Filipino eatery, and Indian restaurant, a pizza parlor, a bar, and a few other restaurants/eateries. It's a great location for those that would rather eat real food before or after the movie than spending $67.38 on a large popcorn and a Coke. I wouldn't go so far as to refer to this theater as a "no-thrills" movie experience, but it definitely doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the Palladio or the Regal in El Dorado Hills. While they do have a few sporadic 3-D movie showings, you're out of luck if you're looking for an IMAX, D Box, or ScreenX experience. With that being said, the tickets here are definitely cheaper than the aforementioned theaters. A matinee here runs about $10 during the weekday, which is about $7-8 cheaper than a similar showtime at the Palladio, for the same movie. The concession stand is also more basic as well. I can't recall all their options off the top of my head, but they do have plenty of popcorn, drinks, and candy. If that's not going to do it for you, the Filipino place next door is really good. Definitely a more satisfying option than nachos or a hot dog. Five stars seems appropriate for this venue. If it was more expensive, I would bring down the rating. But if you don't want to spend an arm and a leg on movie tickets, don't like crowds, don't want to stress about parking, love Filipino food, and you're looking to do some retail therapy shopping nearby, give this theatre a try.

The prices of the concession items are still outrageous sadly. Even with the 20% off for being movie club members, it's still very hard to pay those prices for a soda and popcorn. We were also the only two people besides one other couple in the entire theater, which was strange. But it was in a Monday night.
