I tried the Italian Omelet with sausage, mushrooms, fried onions, marinara sauce and mozzarella. Served with home fries and toast. Great choice. Never thought of reviewing JH but I decided to after visiting this location several times over the years. Burgers shouldn't be screwed up, just some flavor. I guess what I'm saying if you go to this dinner go for the hamburger concoctions and not a plain burger, like the Texas Burger in this post. I'm missing the Neptune Diner. Was working late in the neighborhood & my wife sent me a link for this place as somewhere that had good reviews for turkey burgers. It was a rainy Friday night and place was still pretty crowded , I had to sit by the counter & the guy at the register was pretty kool especially dealing with a Karen who couldn't believe that they didn't accept credit card even though there was a big ass sign saying "CashOnly" Classic old school classic diner look & feel, my Turkey burger was unbelievable huge , fresh and juicy instead of the standard prepackage small , bland & dry turkey burger that most places served because most places pay no attention to turkey burgers. If you haven't been, the diner that you see off the Grand Central Parkway near LaGuardia Airport is a must. Even if you are not a burger fan, try stopping in for breakfast. This is a beautiful Art Deco inspired diner from long bygone days. I had a delicious huge thick burger with fries. They came with wonderfully crunchy, and not too salty pickles. I never knew about Jackson Hole but a friend of mine took me for lunch. It was really great. I enjoyed the service and the food. The vibe was very much old days diner, all they were missing were roller skates. Lol. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and it was well prepared. Jackson Hole has been a huge solid a huge chunk of my decade here in Astoria. Reliable, delicious and consistent. Unfortunately today, after a long day, my usual meal came with four extra ingredients not listed on the menu. I double checked to make sure I ordered the right thing or if the item has been updated and changed. Turns out I did order the right thing, and the item wasn't updated so I was left wondering why there were carrots, cucumbers, green peppers and what I assume cabbage? I was like okay maybe a few pieces slipped in the salad, I'll separate that it'll be okay but discovered even more underneath the salad? What gives? How can I trust a place that doesn't take food allergens or cross contamination in a serious manner? There are people dying and now I have to throw this out due human error. Update: they sent me a replacement salad(that was poorly thrown together with wilted greens, slightly brown avocado and the garlic bread pieces were barely toasted without any garlic in to be tasted. It's unfortunate I'm going to have to part ways due to not only from this error but the way it was handled. read more

This was my very first time at this location! My dad use to take us to the Bell Blvd location, and in turn I've taken my husband to that locale. Sadly that location is no longer around, so here we are. I have to say I do get the same vibes as my old spot. And by same vibes I mean super old school vibes. Think vintage diner! Small jukebox on the table and all! I was excited to head back to this super nostalgic spot with my best friend and her daughter. Pro tip: This is a CASH ONLY spot! I think there is an ATM in house, but I like to come prepared. We were able to pick our table so we picked the booth all the way to the right and in the corner. Although you come here for the burgers, this time we went rogue. I ordered The Rustler which was a steak sandwich and I split that with my friend. Her daughter got pancakes and a side of fries (oh to be a kid again). Of course we tried her food and the fries were spot on! I wish we would have gotten a burger. The steak in the sandwich was one big steak placed on garlic bread with Swiss cheese, lettuce tomato and raw onions. The bread was amazing. The steak itself was just ok. Maybe it is just not my thing. I'm use to steak sandwiches with thinly shaved steak. I should have went with what I know, and that's that any burger you get here will be wonderful. My friend and her daughter ended their meal with milkshakes. And they looked amazing. I'll have to remember that on my next visit. Yes there will be many more visits. I came here with friends for a Sunday dinner. We were craving diner food and despite living nearby, we'd never tried this place. So I recommended we pay it a visit- it did not disappoint! The chicken Cesar salad had homemade croutons and dressing while the chicken was so fresh, juicy and marinaded to perfection. The fries were crispy and the burger was massive and cooked exactly to specification. The cherry on top (pun intended) was the waffle sundae we all split at the end. They made the waffle fresh to order. The decor of the place is CLASSIC diner. Every table has a juke box, there's a breakfast counter where patrons can sip coffee and eat a quick bite, and there's old school ads for things like Chesterfield Cigarettes adorning the walls. The stuffed potato with broccoli and cheddar has a very rubbery cheese on it which made it hard to eat. The nachos also had the rubbery cheese. The sandwiches are bland. The hot Mexican was the only ok panini. The bronco and the avocado club was also really bad . The bread was flavorful but I was nervous about the chicken and meat. Founded in 1972 on the former site of Airline Diner, Jackson Hole is a 1950's original Art Deco-style chrome diner, the last of its kind, just west of LaGuardia Airport on Astoria Blvd in East Elmhurst, and my partner, my cousin and I haven't been here in a while. This establishment is not only famous for the movie Goodfellas with Ray Liotta and Robert De Niro but also for its outsize hamburgers. Upon entering, it does get busy, but we were luckily able to grab a booth with an old-fashioned jukebox without any wait. It's an open kitchen where all food is cooked in front of the restaurant. Their menu is extensive, including full diner-style breakfast and brunch selections, burgers (7 oz), salads, vegetarian panini or wraps, sandwiches,desserts, milkshakes, smoothies, and coffee drinks. We ordered a Mexican Bronco Sandwich (marinated chicken breast served on garlic toast topped with cheddar cheese and jalapeño peppers), a 7-ounce Beef Burger served with onion rings instead of steak fries, lettuce, and tomato, and a 7-ounce California Burger (topped with lettuce, tomato, raw onion, and mayonnaise with sweet potato fries instead of steak fries, lettuce, and tomato). The food was fresh and tasty. The burger was juicy, savory, and custom cooked to our specifications. The novelty was the size of this burger. It looked like an enormous meatball, but it's rivaled by no other burger that we've ever eaten, which was the star of the show.
