The bald guy in there tried to charge me $275 for an oil change on my truck using Mobile1 full Synth when I usually pay about $170 everywhere else and said it's bc "Everything is more expensive in Jackson Hole." Then preceeded to have his crew put in the wrong weight of non synthetic oil bc I protested the cost. I own property in Jackson and have taken two of my other vehicles there without a problem. Adding to the time they didn't screw my radiator reservoir container on tight and it all exited the chamber leaving no radiator fluid, the time they left oil an the remote and it eroded the remote... add on they lost the washer to the drain plug and it has been losing oil ever since. I had to order a new drain plug. Also they left a rag under my friends hood that caught fire. Just another company that hires inept. What's new in this world??? read more

Recently had an oil change and the next day noticed a sizable puddle of oil underneath my truck. It had not been leaking before the oil change. I thought that the drain plug was probable not completely tight, but did not crawl under the truck to check. Took it back to JH Express to have them tighten the plug. Was told that my rear seal was what was leaking, that the oil filter and drain plug were tight. At home again examined my truck and found that there was no leak. I believe that the drain plug was loose and they tightened it and then lied to me to cover up their mistake. I would have been happy if they would have told be that the plug was loose and they were sorry. I am not happy that I was lied to. I will not be back. read more

Although this is an expensive car wash, we were thrilled to see that they had real people helping us. They pre-washed our very bug gut splattered car, and our car came out squeaky clean. It's nice to see a full service car wash in a world that's moved to the unmanned (and not always effective) car wash bays. I dread having my car serviced for a few reasons. 1.) It's the last thing I want to spend money on. (Although a fact of life.) 2.) I am absolutely clueless about cars and I'm fearful of them jumping on the opportunity to get me to spend more money than I need to. I've taken my vehicle here the last few times it's needed service and I've had nothing but good experience from the actual people servicing my car, to anyone in the office. I've brought my 25 lb Boston Terrier with me too with no problems. I don't have the fear factor of being taken advantage of. They'll tell you when other work needs done, but aren't pushy. read more

We used the $7 car wash to give our rental vehicle a quick wash down before we turned it back in. After the wash cycle, the car was not rinsed off and we were left with soap all over the vehicle. There was also no drying, so we had to use the squeegees next to the fuel pumps to clean off our windshield. I would recommend finding somewhere else to wash your car in the town of Jackson. read more

No high pressure. You definitely need to use the brushes they give you for your windows and for the bugs on the front of your car. There's more pressure coming from a garden hose then this automatic drip wash. Only good thing is it got my super dirty car half clean and it has an 80 second dryer. read more

Pulled up to the bay doors and was instructed to go to the garage bay on the left. (There are 2 bays) I proceeded to pull forward in front of the left side bay door and sat there for about 3 minutes. Watched an older man (employee) stand outside the bay door smoking a cigarette and he just walked back inside. (May have been on break) not a big deal. However, I noticed another truck pulled up to the bay next to me about a minute later. They went to him first and allowed him to enter and kept me waiting. (Not the customer's fault). Further more, they still didn't even come and even acknowledge me for another 8 minutes. I decided to walk in and see what was going on and the same kid who instructed me to go to the left bay told me that this is a "first come first serve facility" I asked him why I wasn't next in line and he simply replied, "We'll get to you when we get you, which should be next." Would have thought they would have been paying attention to incoming customers and actually serve the those who were indeed there first. Truly baffling. I understand the actions of a couple individuals do not necessarily represent the entirety or culture of this establishment... however I don't know how this kid still has a job. Very unprofessional. Mistakes happen, but this was pure arrogance and not taking accountability to the max. Makes me leery about the quality of work that has been performed on my vehicle. Will not be returning. Oh, and I was charged $133 for 7 quarts of synthetic oil. Hysterical! read more

They said to bring it on it, that they were open and have availability. 45 minutes later, I arrived to drop off the vehicle only to be told they were done with oil changes for the day and the best thing to do is to come by Monday morning at 8am... why would you not have mentioned this when I called if it was so close to your closing time? Had our oil changed on July 16th and noticed I had to add 1/2 quart of oil within two days. After 2,000 miles we had to add over a quart and by then we had a constant drip when the truck was running. Took it to a mechanic and it turned out to be a loose oil filter. Guess it got more loose as time went on. So we had another oil change done. We ended up having to add two quarts of oil within 2K miles. read more

I have an eight year old Subaru and went for a quick oil change. I pulled in as usual. The nice man asked if I needed windshield wiper fluid and I said, "No, thank you. Just an oil change." I was instructed to go inside and after a series of questions about synthetic and oil filters and cabin filters. I went ahead and got the synthetic oil and one cabin filter. As I was sitting in the lobby a man in front of me was called to the counter and quoted $150. His reaction I should've noted better. He asked "Why is it $60 more than last time!!?" I kept reading my magazine, thinking. I bet he has a big truck or something. I continued on my business. "Your car is ready. That will be One hundred and fifty dollars." "Excuse Me?" "It is an an all wheel drive and we had to check all those fluids." "What is the difference between a 2-wheel drive and all wheel drive oil change??" "Did you change anything?" "nothing besides the synthetic oil" (which apparently my car does not require) All in all I was shocked and would like everyone to know my final question. "So, do you even do, JUST an oil change??" "no." And so, they didn't even check my windshield wiper fluid, as that was the only question I was asked besides what kind of oil I should put in. read more

Go to these hacks at your own risk! I had used them for years when I took my wife's car in to get it serviced. The punk changing the oil remembered me from a previous job, apparently we didn't get along well. The car was well maintained with no leaks. When the car was done Mr Punk came out to confirm who I was and to tell me " Enjoy your leaking power steering." Sure enough we had a new leak that by the time we where home had wiped out the power steering and all related systems, $2700.00 total. The mechanic at the dealership showed me the hose with a perfect hole made by a philips head screw driver. This is all water under the bridge but long story short USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! read more

Our company has a few service trucks and to help my husband out I was having the oil changed at express lube. Maybe one out of 3 times we got good service. HINT: if the loud mouthed blonde chick is at the counter --- walk away. I think she's married to the son that took over this place. Either way she's OB-NOX-IOUS! Shorter haired girl is FABULOUS! Anyway. They always forget to reset the oil light. More than once they didn't tighten the oil plug so I had puddles of oil on my driveway and they're incredibly overpriced. $115 for an FOL? Really? Today I walked out after waiting for Loud-Mouth to discuss everything under the sun with the lady in front of me from her book to her car wash options to even making a phone call for this woman. I seriously got sick of waiting and I couldn't be happier to be taking our business elsewhere. They really need to keep this woman away from their shop. If your car is actually dirty though, this wash will leave it that way. It definitely isn't worth the "ultimate" wash. Just use the cheapest one when you need to wash off the dust. *for what it's worth* there aren't any good washes in Jackson that I have found will clean a truly dirty car. read more

This review is unrelated to lubrication service. As a hapless out-of-towner with a dead battery, I found AAA roadside service to be entirely useless. They could install a battery in a day or two for $500+. Instead, I bought a replacement at NAPA, then went across the street to Express Lube, where they installed it for $20! Near my home in Southern California, I'm sure it would have cost me the better part of $100. This same-day, pleasant experience had me on my way in about 20 minutes, at a total cost of about half what the AAA shop would have charged. read more

Pros. I have a large diesel truck that needs a few special things done to it on each visit. They knew the vehicle and handled it knowledgably. They didn't charge me for things I didn't need. I was surprised how dirty my air filter was. I asked their opinion of the filter, and they said it could wait till the next time but it would be good to change it soon. I replaced it. I pull a lot of heavy weight and don't want to be robbed of power, especially in this thin air at this altitude. Cons, The price was the same as anywhere in Jackson, but is slightly higher than cities 2 hours away (that $141 of fuel round trip for me) The benefits and quality outway the small price difference. read more

I needed a headlight bulb change for our Subaru, and it took about 25 minutes. They topped off my oil, and the whole thing only cost $16!

I am traveling cross country in my astro van and needed to get my oil changed and front end lubed. I told the technician that I only use synthetic oil and if the price included lubricating the front end, he said yes but it would cost 85.00 to 95.00. I told him to do it and sat down. Not more that 2 minutes later I was told the van was done and there was no other problems. I paid the 89.00 and left but felt that it seemed a bit to fast to have the work done that I asked for. I checked under the van and noticed that the oil filter was dirty and looked like it was used and that none of the grease fittings were touched. I called back and asked the manager if greasing the van was part of the 89.00 and he said if the car has grease fittings it should have been done. I told him it was not and he told me to bring it back. When I went back the manager was no were to be found and the technician finished the job as I watched. There was no sorry for the mix up or any kind of professional customer service interaction. What bothers me here is that there were two people who came in before me and one after me and I could not help wonder if they were cheated also out of a service that they paid for. How many people know what to look for after having their car services or feel the need to check. Buyer beware of this business especially those of you who know very little about automobile maintenance. read more

locals serving locals, I love it! My boyfriend always takes his car to express lube to get oil changes etc. so logically when I got my own car I took mine there as well. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly! My oil change took about 10 minutes tops! The price was lower than I thought! It's usually around $70 for my boyfriends outback and it was $50 for my saturn. They even inflated my front tires and deflated my back ones, explaining to me that my tires were way over filled. As a customer I feel the employees genuinely want to provide the most help they can. They warned me that my brake rotors are going out, an awesome heads up. Every time I've been in there I am treated with nothing but respect and friendliness. I will return religiously and I definitely recommend this shop to people looking for great service, with a friendly demeanor. read more
