Now I have to say, this was a hidden gem to find. We were actually looking for a place to watch the World Series. Big TVs and a place to have good drinks and appetizers! This is THE place to go!!! OMGgggg!!! Obviously it was a packed house but we were able to secure good seats. We ordered some appetizers GENERAL TSO'S CRISPY CAULIFLOWER Moi ploy, scallion, sesame, cilantro WHIPPED RICOTTA Calabro ricotta, burrata, pesto, focaccia Gosh!! The Cauliflower was AMAZING!!! You can't even tell you're eating a vegetable!!!! lol And the Whipped Ricotta ??!! WOW!! We were so impressed with the food here. The drinks were just as amazing!!! Service was great and most people here were rooting for the Blue Jays. I think we were the only Californians there for the Dodgers!! And they didn't disappoint either!! Would highly recommend this place if you're in the area!!!

Stopped by Alfie's after dinner for a quick drink and had a good time at this gastropub! They have a wide range of drinks from different draft beers to cocktails, snacks to actual entrees. As a cocktail girlie, I got myself a Toasted Dream which is really just a spiked hot chocolate. I do like how the alcohol comes through. Its sweet and creamy as expected; I also appreciated how the marshmellows were toasted enough on the outside without overly melting on the inside. The table next to us got mac and cheese which looked super yum and smelled tasty. It was semi busy on a cold Friday night but my party of 4 was able to get seated quickly. Staff were friendly and super smiley! They have a mix of high tops, table, and bar seating with some tables outdoor. Would be interested to check out their other drinks and food next time.

A cute dive bar! my work team reserved the front area that was entirely standing room with two tables big enough for the appetizers we ordered. The cocktails here were great! I'd come back if I wanted to host a small party (no more than 15 folks) with a decent deal - there wasn't a minimum: it was just based on the # of drinks ordered by the group.

Awesome restaurant! The staff is very friendly and the service was great! Been here a couple of times and enjoy having brunch here! The food is delicious and the ambiance is great! Super cute inside!

Looking for a good gastropub style lunch or late night relaxed environment, THIS IS THE SPOT. The service is awesome, the food is delicious, and the drinks are good! You just need to bring good company with you. There is indoor and outdoor seating. They have simple yet decent happy hour drink selections. Their current Smash Burger Lunch Special is a no brainer. The meal comes with a decent sized burger that is pretty darn delicious, fries, and a selected beer. The rest of my party ordered the burger special while I had the grilled chicken on ciabatta with Parm fries! Definitely worth a return visit.

The menu is limited, but the food is DELICIOUS!!! The service is SUPERB!!! I love the decor in this place! There is outdoor seating, too. I definitely recommend this place!

Yelp's a little gracious with 4 overall stars here. Basic food, nothing crazy, some flavors bad or extremely plain. Overpriced. $20-22 for any dish. I got the eggs Benedict. Good poached eggs over ham and a waffle. Waffle was new to me. The salad with it was so plain and even bitter. The Nutella pancake is nothing crazy. The size looks great but it was very simple. Very nice and attentive service.

A great go to spot for my friends and I! Great environment, and a bonus in the winter- lots of coat hangers on the wall :) The prices aren't wild for being in this area...which we appreciate. Drink prices aren't too bad. The staff is great.

Fantastic draft beer choices! We came here after dining at another restaurant, so we only got some beer. I love lovedddd the Montauk Juicy IPA and Guinness beer that I got. I'm really picky with my draft Guinness since it's super easy to get it wrong (tastes like soy sauce when it's wrong), but this was some of the best draft Guinness I've had in a while! Service was great and ambiance was amazing! Will definitely be back when I'm craving beer.

I managed to snag some MJ the Musical tickets and Alfie's was the stop before show time. We literally just stumbled in as we were walking towards the theatre. I scanned the menu quickly and noticed they had happy hour and a turkey burger and that worked perfectly for me. We entered and were seated right away. The place was actually quite bustling for a cold NYC Wednesday night in January. With the place full it can feel tight getting through and not very comfortable while seated. Nonetheless service was attentive, when possible. I ordered an Old Fashioned and that Turkey Burger that caught my eye accompanied by sweet potato fries. My drink was ok but my food was delish and perfectly hit the spot. Just A Note: If looking for a fairly quick bite to eat before a show, Alfie's might be worth checking out.

As we had our cocktails we discussed going somewhere else as the vibe was flat. But my husband convinced me to stay as it's already 8:30. Both failed epically. The bone marrow was inedible as it was like cold custard. Escargot had zero flavor and a real lack of garlic and good butter. Tasted more like vegetable oil than good butter. We shared the lobster pasta entree. Tasted more like Mexican goulash. No Italian flavors to be found in the sauce. Never once did the nameless waiter stop and inquire about our meal. Just all around a poor experience and a disappointing Friday night. There are far better places that appreciate your patronage. We will not be coming back. Not worth it.

The ambiance feels straight of the golden age, which is an aesthetic I'm certainly a sucker for. Even their robust cocktail menu fits the bill and is one of the prettiest menus I've ever had the joy of perusing. Staff was able to sit us a little bit ahead of our reservation which was also much appreciated. Wait staff was also very helpful and attentive, I don't think I've ever had my water glass so topped off! Starting off with cocktails, this place is a gin bar through and through and you'd be making a mistake if you didn't try one of their many options. I went with the 10,000 words, which you simply just give a spirit of your choice (I picked gin of course) and whether you antes) wanted your drink shaken or stirred and the bartender does the rest, so a bit of a surprise! I wound up with their version of The Last Word which was delightfully citrusy but I was hoping I'd wind up with something a little more adventurous app things considered. My girlfriend got the blackberry G&T, which was not only very pleasing to look at but delicious to boot. For food, we started with splitting some zucchini blossoms and beef cheek bao buns (both come in portions of 3). Both were tasty, but I love a good bao bun and these were so light and pillowy, I could have just went for an order of those for my main course. For the entree I went for the roasted half chicken, perhaps the most unassuming choice on the menu but this was maybe the best roast chicken I've ever had. Prepared perfectly, cooked to perfection, excellent portion size, and the kicker of it all was the stunning gravy that I was tempted to lick my plate for. Chicken is very easy to screw up, and they nailed it on all fronts here. My girlfriend went for the Valerie Signature burger with white cheddar and this thing did not mess around! A very rich patty, cooked to her temperature of choice served alongside some garlic truffle fries that made an American classic feel just a little more elevated. Our experience was delightful and I'd love to comeback here again, especially to check out more of the cocktail menu and soak in more of that golden age aura the place gives.

We actually stumbled into Tanner Smith's thinking it'd be the typical, boring bar-food spot. Nope. They first sat us at a hi-top by the door, but that wasn't our vibe, so we grabbed seats at the bar instead. Best decision. Our bartender, Josiah, was absolutely killing it. My cocktail had passion fruit, so of course I asked my usual question: "But is it real passion fruit?" He just nodded in agreement and that told me everything I needed to know. That drink was legit and had nice strength. The food was great too. My fish tacos were packed with fresh fish, the guacamole and salsa were chunky and full of flavor and hubs enjoyed his pastrami sandwich. It featured a crispy, sugar-glazed exterior and a soft, chewy interior, topped with truffle cheese and served with a truffle butter dip; the pairing was superb, and it tasted great both on its own and with the dip. For the main course, I ordered the miso-glazed black cod. The flavor was flawless, and while the portion was small (which was acceptable), the pool of broth accompanying it was completely unnecessary; it was inedibly salty, so what was the point of serving it? After finishing the fish, I was left with a plate full of broth, rendering the plate unusable. Plus, it was overpriced; for this dish, you're better off going to Strip House Strip House remains the undisputed king of this dish in New York. A friend ordered the chicken parmesan. It was just average. Another friend ordered the short rib stroganoff. The flavor was decent, but it was far too rich and heavy. As someone whose palate is split 50/50 between Western and Chinese cuisine, I could manage only five bites at most. If you have a palate that prefers 100% Chinese food, proceed with caution on this dish. Friends ordered sides of mac & cheese and mashed potatoes. These are dishes originally meant for low-income Americans to fill up on cheaply; there's no limit to how good they can be, but also no floor to how bad they can get. Both were on par with the average quality found in upscale restaurants. Honestly, these are two dishes I would never order myself. To sum up: the atmosphere was great. It's also hard to get a reservation; the place was packed when we had lunch at 2 PM. Aside from that monkey bread, I didn't feel like anything else justified the price or offered something you couldn't find elsewhere. I don't quite get the hype. The menu on the table was a la carte. This did however work out better for me as I had limited time since I was catching a broadway show. We were already inside MOMA and entered via the inside entrance with a guard and a huge door. Since we arrived at 5pm when they opened we were led to a seated waiting area and provided cold water (a 100F day) and a smaller drink menu. Within a few minutes the main dining room was ready for us and we were led to a three quarter moon seat with a table facing the MOMA outdoor sculpture garden. This room was glorious with its high ceiling and cobalt blue paint and an impressive massive floral arrangements. There were plenty of museum visitors still outside wandering about in the sculpture garden. Each and every staff were wonderful in their friendly welcoming stance and conversations. Having perused their voluminous wine selection online ahead of time (an excellent thing to do ahead of time to avoid last minute decisions) we placed our wine order with the sommelier. Then there was the choice between the two menus, one obviously more expansive in offerings and the price. Since NYC was experiencing our extreme heatwave we opted for the smaller menu, which was totally sufficient and very filling. Most of the time, restaurant tasting menus have words and phrases that "sound" so inviting but wind up being a huge disappointment. However, words here really don't do justice as a description. The menu seemed simple and basic enough: "radish, shiso* crispy ham and cheese; hiramasa and garden peas; sea bass, crab and squash blossom; halibut, tomatoes, sweet corn broth or chicken and red wine braised celeriac; berries and cacao -- Impressions Menu -- 'a glimpse, capturing a moment' $175 (discovery 115 * reserve 295)". Prior to ordering we were informed that both of us had to order the same menu but that we had the option to sub and add on from the expansive menu--which we did with the eggs on eggs on eggs dish, as well as my choice of the lamb. Their signature dish--Eggs on eggs on eggs: a must have to add on this special course with caviar ($50/order). The dish is small, precious and very rich and was positively impressionable. That's the dish I go away with thinking about the restaurant. It came with a stick of toasted brioche to sop up the runny yolk and the caviar (which was neither fishy or salty). I would note the dish was served with caviar spoon. Staff knew enough that after we started eating this they brought an extra set of two more buttered toast sticks. Paired with our all Pinot champagne it was a magical combo. This is the kind of patron mind reading that differentiated a Michelin star restaurant. As the executive chef described the dish: "At the bottom of the bowl is a fried egg sauce, and is broken with a dill oil; second egg is a poached egg yolk (poached in a saline solution just so they are warmed through...we want the yolk to spill through the sauce...). We finish this dish with pickled shallots and more fresh dill for acidity and freshness, and drop a huge spoonful of caviar on top." The amuse was a great way to start especially with the pairing of our champagne. In lieu of the halibut in the Impressions menu I added the lamb from the other menu. Although it was only one piece in the rack of lamb it was terrific with the crunchy maitake mushroom and tasty sauce. The sommelier was excellent and professional without being pretentious -- as well as every single staff that greeted us and served us along the way. THIS Is what one should expect from a two star Michelin restaurant. I tasted the halibut from my wife and it seemed to be slightly under seasoned, though it had a decent sear. Service was perfection. They did not disappoint and I will be back!
