THE BIG: Located in Terminal 4 on the retail hall and is a big space (~13,500 sq ft). Inside is decorated very modern, sleek, but homey. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I was super excited to visit this capital one lounge mainly because the other times I tried to come here, they were either closed (due to a unforeseen fire incident) or my flight was about to leave. The space opens up into the bagel and coffee bar near the front where you can order your bagel fresh to order. Then you can either turn left or right and both have plenty of seating. If you turn right, you eventually get led to the bar and can post up for your flight. There are QR codes at every table where you can order a la carte your meals. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall, this is probably my favorite capital one lounge in their network. If this is all you read, all you need to know is to visit the bagel bar. read more

I Had a great time during my second visit to the Capital One Lounge at JFK and it's definitely becoming one of my favorites. ​The staff really makes the experience here. Onella was so nice, stopping by our table to make sure we were good and even offering us a specialty drink. Another shout-out to the bartender whose name I didn't get, but she was a complete sweetheart. The drinks were really good. ​For food, I had the French toast and the eggs Benedict. I'm usually not a fan of eggs Benedict at all, but this one was actually delicious. The plates are small but definitely enough to fill you up. I wished the pastrami sandwich was available while I was there, but it's a lunch item and I missed the timing. ​They also handle things quickly here. There was an issue with one of the restrooms, but they immediately put it out of service and got right to work on fixing it. Why yes, I did sign up for the Venture X credit card just to get access here, which also means I will only fly out of Terminal 4 in JFK now just to go here. Upon entry, there's a cafe on your left where you can order bagels, wraps, coffee, and salads on the go. It's convenient if you're rushing to your gate as it's all packaged up for you. As you continue inside, there's a buffet spread, pastries, and a cheesemonger bar on the left. Then you also have individual bathrooms, showers, and a fully stocked bar on your right. I went at a busy time, so staff was moving quick to bring food to customers. Place was packed in the front dining area. There were several people waiting to check into the lounge. It's the first time that I ever venture into a capital one lounge. Staff at from desk gave an overview and the lay of the lounge. As you walked in after checking in there were nice comfortable chairs. The ambiance and decor is really inviting. Walked to the Bodega station and ordered a Swiss and Pastrami on a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel. Then I saw staff making coffee. I placed an order for a cappuccino, she said you have to place order where you were for the food. Mentioned first time, so she said no problem and she made the cappuccino as I waited. Had no idea when the bagel was going to be ready, so I went to find a place to sit and place my luggage.. Staff said Swiss and Pastrami on Cinnamon Bagel. I went to get item. In the Bodega you can get wrap and bagel sandwiches to go and pack to go items. On all the tables there were QR code where you scan and place an order. I decided to check out the buffet area. There were items that you pick up and put in tray and take to table. The Brussel sprout and deviled egg were delicious. The croissant with crème filling was addicting. There were bags where you can put sweets to go. If you flying Delta, make sure you pack and order stuff to go. Delta only serve beverage and chips/cookie... even if your flight is 6 hours. Restrooms spacious and clean. It was hard to find this place. After security, The Capital One Lounge is before Gate B 20. So if you pass Gate B20 then you passed the Capital One Lounge. So make sure you give ample time to get to your gate leaving the lounge. The gate where my flight was at Gate B53 so it's a good 20 minute walk. Had the chance to stop by this Capital One lounge in terminal 4 as we were flying Singapore Airlines to Frankfurt. It was either this option or the Virgin Atlantic. So after reviewing Yelp on both lounges I opted for capital one and I am very pleased with this lounge! First you can order hot small dishes from any table, there is a QR code on each table with today's choices. There is a cheese monger where you need to reserve 45 mins for a cheese tasting (we did not do, but looks amazing!). There is a buffet style with little dishes such as devil eggs, crostini, roasted squash. There is a to-go sandwich option with ess a bagel and pastrami from Schaller and Weber! and a huge bar also stocked with mocktails! We sat down at a table by the food and desserts section, they even brought out a nice baby chair for our baby! Ordered a bunch of dishes from the kitchen, Mac and cheese, shrimp salad, little burgers, mushrooms risotto and a soup! Honestly not all of the dishes were delicious, they were decent. However our experience and the service at this lounge was definitely excellent! They were so attentive to our needs and our baby's needs. We really felt taken care of. Note we did have a short wait, however it was literally not even 5 minutes to get into the lounge but definitely take this into consideration at busy times there will be a wait. But this wait is probably not as bad as the wait at the Amex centurion lounge in the same terminal. Overall we had a fabulous experience, felt really taken care of and especially with our baby. Excellent service at Case One Lounge at JFK. I've been here a few times, and there are always plenty of seats. As soon as you walk in the door, you're checked in, and if it is your first time, the folks at the counter explain where everything is. Their decorations are nice and usually on theme for the holidays. There are QR codes at each table for you to order warm bites as well as a station for fresh bagel orders. You can grab salads, bagels, snacks, pastries, etc to go. There are to-go bags if you're pressed on time. The bathrooms are large and clean. The food and drinks are restocked frequently. On my most recent visit, they had boxed water in the fridge and cold brew, chai, and other drinks on tap across the bagel station. The things that i've tried that have stood out to me from here are their deviled eggs, home fries, and Italian salad. I had the pleasure of visiting the Capital One Lounge at JFK today on my flight back to Cali. First off, I want to remark how beautiful the lounge. It's modern yet swanky, reminding me of a modern take of all the gold colored decor from the 1920s. The lounge is wide and ample, with lots of seating... and what's great is it's open 24 hours. Located in T4 (eg Delta's terminal), it works well for me since I fly with Delta often. I went in around 6pm, and while there were quite a number of patrons, people were spread out and it didn't feel very crowded. Some cool things about this location: they have a cheese (with wine pairing) experience, and a (freshly made) bagel section in the to-go area. I picked up a lox bagel to bring onboard my flight home, which was nice since I didn't have to worry what to eat on the plane. I didn't get to try the cheese experience, as it requires booking. I think if I got to the lounge earlier I would have taken advantage of the cheese experience. Next time :) For food, I tried all the offerings including a beet risotto (yummy! Reminded me of a borscht), the mac n cheese (yum!), and the chicken pot pie (yummy and even included a puff pastry on top). All in all, the food was very satisfying and provided a much welcomed snack/meal! Also, I wanted to comment that everyone that works here is very friendly, especially those who are checking folks in. Capital One, you really outdid yourself! The service from check in to all the food options were lovely! It's a 24/7 lounge, and the food changes with the meal period. It was breakfast when we arrived. They had a wonderful selection of cold grab and go items, tasting plates and made to order hot bar foods. The tasting menu consisted of pastries, mini avocado toasts (they were delicious!), rhubarb and strawberry overnight oats (sweet and tasty)! The facilities were excellent! There was plenty of lounge room, space to relax and showers! They let you take things to go on the flight too. I grabbed another Chia Oat milk latte and left. I can't believe a Capital One lounge opened in JFK and I have to say that this is probably the best lounge here! It was a blessing in disguise for my other usual lounge to be full because I might've not noticed it on my way towards my gate! Anyway, I had to add my two cents, because it's pretty ridiculous that there are reviews here saying this is one of the best airport lounges they've been to, but still find something to complain about like this is a Michelin star restaurant. Don't let those reviews scare you away from a visit! I don't even know where to start, but there's a amazing grab & go counter near the entrance, which includes coffee, toasted bagels, and a hot breakfast sandwich! There's the small bites area, which was pretty awesome, but this location even has a QR menu you can scan and order a few things your way, such as sliders and mac & cheese! Amazing experience! We skipped Amex Centurion lounge for this one because I heard Centurion is always crowded. Ended up being a good decision. What really peaked our interest was they told us there is a parents lounge, so we went there first. Best parent's/nursing room so far. It even has a Philips bottle warmer! Nice clean room, with diapers and wipes and changing station. Whoever designed this room must be a parent. Tons of food choices. At the cafe bar, you can order sandwiches/bagels, cups of salads to go. At the tables, you can scan the QR code to order food from kitchen. There's a buffet for other small eats. The cheese bar! Ah too bad we didn't have enough time to enjoy the tasting experience. It's all the way at the end of the lounge on the left side and need to get on the list when you get there. Staff are all friendly and said hi to my baby. Staff also constantly cleaned and replenished the buffet. Bathrooms are very roomy and clean. Also they gave us a bib for my baby. Super cute. This jfk lounge was much more spacious. This does make bringing back drinks and food a bit tricky since the food is on one end of the lounge and the bar is at the other end. Drinks were nice and strong and they have quite the list for NY-location special cocktails. The wines were surprisingly decent too. Food was a mixed bag - the meat in the sliders were a little overcooked. The desserts were great, especially the blondies. The bagels were a disappointment...bagel was too dry and rock hard. This was my first Capital One Lounge that I've experienced and it exceeded my expectations. First off, the interior is so beautiful designed--it's giving modern art deco lounge vibes. There were also plenty of seating and didn't feel crowded at all. Upon entering, I made a beeline to the full bar which was fully stocked and gorgeous. Daquan hooked it up with the Grass Widow mocktail, which was a sweet citrusy treat. They also had a handful of mocktails to choose from, if that is up your alley. Ordering hot foods from the QR code was pretty straight forward. While waiting for my food to arrive, perused the buffet, pastry, and cheesemonger sections. I got a little bit of everything: deviled egg, tomato crostini, black and white cookie, and sharp cheddar. These were great bites to open up the palette for the main course. Let me introduce to you the start of the show: The braised Berkshire pork shank with pea risotto. Oh my goodness, this was so heavenly! The pork was so tender, savory, and flavorful. The pea risotto was rich and creamy, which was a nice compliment to the pork. I should've gotten two of these, but I was on a crunch for time! To wash it all down, don't forget to try the Rustic White Bean & Spinach Soup, which might have been the most flavorful veggie soup that I've had. After my meal, I went to check out the Bodega, which serves coffee, tea, and NYC's coveted Ess-a-Bagel. I was so bummed for not getting any pastrami sandwiches while in NYC, but I was delighted to see they had a Pastrami & Swiss bagel on the menu. I copped that and a smashed avocado schmear bagel for the plane ride. Let me tell you...this pastrami, even though a little smushed and have been sitting in my backpack for 3 hours, was the best thing I've ever sunken my teeth into on an airplane. One thing that's consistent with Capital One, is that they don't play about their flavors! This pastrami might even be comparable to Katz's so I definitely was a happy camper. Right from the start, the staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. Greetings! Well this lounge took me by complete surprise! I'm Usually a Delta Lounge girlie and for the 1st in a while my flight was boarding from a B gate . If you know about JFK Delta Lounges they are far unless it's the Delta One lounge ( I haven't been yet but soon come !) I discover I'm near both the Amex and Capital one lounge : I decide to see if I can get all the folks I'm traveling in with in the Capital one lounge . I can and do and the fee was actually cheaper $45 than the Delta Lounge . I believe you need a VentureX for complimentary access or a Venture card that can purchase access . The food is excellent . They have prepared food , a coffe bar and food made to order . The made to order food you use the QR code on the table to order . I had the premade egg sandwich that looked like an egg McMuffin and it was delish . I also had OJ and a latte . The lounge is open 24 hrs they have showers . You can use the app to sign in and secure your spot or just present your card upon entry . The only downside is not many locations yet . JFK , Vegas , DC (IAD and DCA) , Denver and Dallas . the new capital one lounge has finally opened at jfk, and after seeing so many reviews, my expectations were very high. i'm happy to say that everything completely met those expectations. the experience feels unique from the moment you walk in, starting with a fun new york-style bodega concept right at the entrance. for someone like me who doesn't usually like to eat a full meal before a flight, this was an incredible option. i ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese to go. nearby, there was also a self-serve snack station where you can fill a bag to take with you. when i visited, the options included dried vegetable chips, crunchy corn snacks, and chocolate-covered espresso beans. it was fun putting together a little trail mix. you can also order drinks to go, including lattes, coffee, and matcha, although i didn't try any. toward the back of the lounge, there is a hot food section. while there weren't a ton of different options, everything was presented beautifully, served in larger quantities, and looked very appealing. there was also a dessert section. i tried the brownie, which was rich and decadent without being overly sweet, which i really enjoyed. i also had an apple turnover, which tasted a bit stale and seemed on the older side. if you continue further into the lounge, there is a cheese station offering a more personalized experience with guided cheese pairings. i didn't try this since i prefer not to eat too much before flying, but it looked incredible. toward the back right of the lounge, there is a full bar with unique specialty beverages inspired by new york. the staff throughout the lounge was very nice, helpful, and accommodating, especially when answering questions. the seating was extremely comfortable, with many different options depending on whether you prefer a table or more of a lounge-style seat. there are also bathrooms inside the lounge. read more

We went on opening day and were lucky enough to get the cheese monger experience without reservation!! Would recommend reserving for future visits It was amazing! You get 45min to eat as much cheese as you want, selected by the cheese monger if you wish. I frequent the Capital One lounges often, but this was my first time at the JFK location. It is super clean and spacious to be open 24/7. The other lounges I have visited often open by 9am close by 9pm, so it was nice to enjoy and have access to this one with an early flight scheduled. There are a variety of food options available including a small plates bar that is buffet style and tapas that can be unlimitedly ordered to your table. You can just scan the QR code located on each table and see what they have available at the specific times. There is also a " Bodega " style bar which is unique to this particular lounge. You can order specially made bagel sandwiches and hand crafted coffees/teas. The service is impeccable as they bring your food out to your table within minutes. A wonderful lounge experience! I had an extended layover at JFK Terminal 4 and was fortunate to have access through my ticket. Upon checkin, the staff noted that access only began within 3 hours of the outbound flight, but if you are there for a layover, they will let you in upon verifying your first boarding pass. This lounge really has it all - a grab and go counter, bodega counter, a full coffee bar, drinks bar, additional dishes ordered to table, and the more standard self serve food/beverage options. The seating and decor is modern with a wide variety of tables and booths. I decided to grab some more comfy chairs to have some recline, and the lounge was busy but not fully packed throughout my visit. I had a bit of everything and appreciated the portions of the food, and that the drink menu had some classics and locally tailored drinks as well which really shows the thought put into the offerings. I absolutely had to have a classic smoked salmon bagel and it was lovely and the highlight of all the food I got (please refer to the pictures). The only slight knock about the lounge experience was the showers. It might be very nitpicky but the shower wait was some 3-4 hours. Luckily due to the absurd length of my layover it was not a problem but for most I would imagine it would be difficult. Therefore, make sure to sign up for the waitlist right away. I think part of it is that there is no time limit enforced on the shower rooms, and that they are easily confused with bathrooms. Therefore, there did seem to be times where patrons looking for a regular bathroom would slip in and delay the turnover process for the two shower rooms. This is a great lounge! When we got there we were quickly checked in. The front desk even helped us locate our departing gate and let us know how far it was, which was really nice. When we walked inside, I was pleased to see there was ample seating options and it was not very crowded. The most iconic part of this lounge is hands down the counter offering Ess-a-bagel goodies and freshly brewed coffees and teas. They even have matcha options. It was really amazing. They also have QR codes on the table that you can scan and there are some food options which are prepared and brought to the table. The service was pretty quick. There is a cheesemonger station which offers a 45 minute cheese tasting course. We did not have time to do it, but hopefully next time we can experience it. The board looked real tasty. We did get a small plate of cheese and it was delicious. The food stations are great, and everything is very clean and well kept. The bar is located on the other side of the lounge and offers a full menu of cocktail options and wines. The bartenders were amazing. This is one of the better lounges that wifey and I have encountered. It is well planned out, spacious, and quiet. They have a nice bar, a cheese station, a coffee station, and weight staff that will bring you hot food. Everything is top-notch. Service is friendly. read more

Came here on a Tuesday during a 5 hour layover between Athens and San Francisco. Had a really pleasant stay and was so grateful that we had a chill place to be during a long layover. Have been to the Cap One lounges in Vegas and Denver before, and this one is very similar in vibes but with a New York twist. Brought in one guest with the venture X card Pros: - Really efficient service - there's plenty of self-serve buffet style small portion dishes you can pick up, or you can order "larger" dishes through a QR code on the tables. My favorites were the deviled eggs, the sliders, and the beet risotto. - Some "novel" things that are not available at the other lounge locations, including the bagel station and the cheesemonger (kind of has charterie-like options). - Mocktails and cocktails made to order at the bar. I had a mocktail and it was delicious! - They let us in for 4+ hours as long as we showed our previous and next boarding pass to prove we were here for a layover. - All the staff were very professional and kind, kept our tables cleaned and checked in on us. Mid-afternoon there was also champagne passed around with a cart. - Gorgeous vibes with great lighting, feels very modern but upscale New York at the same time. - Wasn't too crowded until around dinner time, when it started getting busier. But still had space to sit. Comfy chairs - Clean bathrooms - Many easy outlets to utilize Cons: - can be a easy to miss the entrance, but the staff at JFK are very helpful in directing us there. Keep in mind it is NOT on the same level as the amex centurion and other lounges - The cheesemonger is an experience that is better if you have a lot of time to kill Overall, had a fantastic experience here, I so wish that they would keep the guest benefit after next year! What a lounge! The Capital One Lounge at JFK opened earlier this year, and it's one of the best lounges I've been to. I got there about 10 minutes early for the 3-hour-before-flight entry time, and the hostess told me they have a 15-minute window, which worked out perfectly. The space is modern, super clean, and the service is quick and friendly. The food isn't mind-blowing, but it's pretty good, especially compared to other airport lounges. They have a few different food options. I love that you can just scan a QR code to order small tapas-style plates right to your table, or you can grab bites from a little self-serve area. I tried the short rib sliders, mac and cheese, and white bean soup, and everything was really good. I sat near the bar and decided to ask the bartender to recommend a drink. She was awesome and picked out the perfect gin-based drink called the Jetliner. It was refreshing and exactly what I needed to relax before my flight. The bathrooms are kind of limited, though. There are only about six stalls for the whole lounge, which can be a little annoying if a lot of people have flights around the same time. Past the little tapas area, there's a cheese tasting experience that runs from 11:30 AM to 6:15 PM. You just talk to the staff at the back to check availability. I chatted with a staff member around 5 PM, and he added me to the waitlist. He said the wait is shorter if you're alone, but it would still be about 45 minutes. To my surprise, I only waited 20 minutes. If they're fully booked, they do have a pre-made cheese plate you can grab. Once you're seated, the cheese monger walks you through the process. You get three cheeses with meats, crackers, jams, honey, and pickles. The cheese monger is super knowledgeable and starts you off with a sample before letting you pick your own for a mini cheese board. They also pair the cheeses with drinks, starting with a glass of sherry, followed by wine, and ending with limoncello. I loved the truffle cheese, the marinated cheese, and, lastly, the whipped honey. If you've got 45 minutes to spare, I highly recommend going! If you're in a rush, the lounge also has a grab-and-go section where you can pick up snacks or take cookies in to-go bags. I grabbed some chocolate espresso beans on my way out. Overall, this place was amazing, and I'll definitely be back. read more

Love the fact that is lounge is the first one past security and no walking miles to get to. Front desk was very welcoming and gave a nice wifi card. Plenty of restrooms, showers, private rooms, nursing room, and nice bites to eat. read more

A great 24/7 lounge at JFK. However, if you're there before 5am, there is honestly nothing there other than a separate space to hang out/sit in the airport. They don't let you in unless it's 3 hours before your flight or if you're on a layover. We had a very early morning flight so my partner drove us to the airport before he went to bed at 1am and we just hung out until we were able to get into the lounge. As we already spent a couple hours at the airport, we were kind of cold so once we got in, we requested some tea. There are a few great things about this lounge. -They have a cheese monger experience and we lucked out one of the few times we went, as we were able to experience it. We were the first people that day to do it at 11:30am. It came with wines and 4 types of cheese. One is their signature, and then you get a choice of 3 of the displayed cheeses. My friend and I got varying cheeses so we could try most of them (skipped out on the bleu cheese because we weren't bleu cheese fans). -The to go counter where you can grab and go some bagel sandwiches. There are two specialty bagels for the AM, and two for the PM that cannot be customized (i.e. I wanted jalepenos on the bagel that doesn't come with it). -They'll sometimes have carts for tea or cheese service which is great. -They serve local NY drinks (e.g. beer). Some things that can be changed. -I wish the hot water and teas were accessible without having to ask someone behind the take out counter. -Of all the food I tried, I enjoyed the beet risotto the most. Most of the other food felt like it needed more seasoning. -While they had a large cocktail menu, I didn't enjoy most of the drinks. Next time I will try some traditional drinks. -I wish there were condiments like hot sauce, ketchup, etc. All in all, it's a great place to spend some time before flights or during a layover. thERE'S A CHEESEMONGER IN HERE. it's a 45 min experience so unfortunately won't get to try it this time but they gave out small samplers as consolation. mac n cheese and slider are pretty good though my slider order seemed to get lost and took awhile. the person that sat next to me has visited this lounge a lot so offered me one of his sliders lol (thanks tony!). their cocktail menu is extensive, the japanese slipper was tasty and they have a collab with death & co. they also serve ess a bagel!! overall great lounge, just wish front desk told me to put my name down for the cheesemonger immediately after entering. interior is polished, reminiscent of the nyc capital one cafes. read more

One of my favorite lounges. This lounge was located in terminal at JFK but it was very spacious with lots of amenities. A full bar, a cheese board area including a sit down experience, and many snack options. This location really cozy and made the 3 hours fly by before our flight. Employees there are consistently cleaning up and on top of everything. I highly recommend for capital one venture card users. Def worth it. read more

A really wonderful lounge! Completely complementary for certain Capital One cardholders. Loved the variety of foods and drinks available and the decor. The made to order food was delicious and came quickly. I enjoyed the chicken pot pie the most. The butternut squash soup was also nice and the small slider had really good pat la Frieda beef. I also got a couple of to go salads and chia seed puddings. Very fresh and tasty. Also got a few bagel sandwiches - smoked whitefish and pastrami. Also got a couple of wrapped fruit and some bags of snacks. Snacks I enjoyed the yogurt pretzels the most but also the bbq corn was a favorite as well. They also had veggie chips and some Japanese rice cracker snack mix. The boxed water was a let down, tasted like plastic. Ew. There was iced oat latte on tap, was delicious! Overall with proper rationing and refrigeration it was enough food to last me a few days. I didn't have enough time to try the bar before my flight but will do next time! It was a long way to my terminal but if you come early enough it is a great experience! read more
