Tortas and tacos! Delicious, healthy portions. It was deli and filling. Definitely recommend!

Shrimp tortas and tacos were delicious! I love this place, feels like a classic diner. Friendly staff and fast service.

Fajita breakfast omelette and hash browns with salsa verde

Great food, we had breakfast but it's really a Mexican cafe that serves breakfast. Had some great portion sizes and good taste. The atmosphere is laid back and appeared to be a family business. No pressure from the staff, just friendly and prompt service.

Disappointingly, I've had much better. I really wanted to like this place. I was actually headed for another place but it turned out to be closed today so I took it as a good opportunity to try Jacobos. I was hoping to get breakfast tacos but evidently they don't have them. They're located in a strip mall on Olsen Street just east of Western, same shopping center as Olsen Beauty Supply. You don't realize from the outside how big it's going to be on the inside. I was seated fairly quickly and given a menu. When I skimmed it I didn't see breakfast tacos but I made a second choice just in case. A man came over to take my order and when I asked him about the breakfast tacos he said you can get anything you want. I thought good and asked if I could have the tacos with eggs in them instead of meat. He gave me a funny look and said no. So much for ordering whatever I want. I decided to get the Eric Burrito which was supposed to be fajita inside a burrito including sour cream and avocado. Sounded pretty good. They were quite busy so I figured a lot of people must like the place. I thought it said there would be rice and beans on the side but obviously the plate didn't have any when it arrived. I eventually figured out the rice and beans were on the inside, mostly rice on one half and beans on the other, not spread very evenly. There was some lettuce and tomatoes on the side of the plate but the lettuce was disappointingly wilted, not fresh at all like most places I've been to. I gave the burrito a dubious look because it didn't look very sturdy and sure enough when I tried to pick it up the end started popping open. I decided to cut it in half and try again but it fell apart in my fingers before I could take the first bite. Not a good start. The meat inside had good flavor but was very chewy and grisly and barely lukewarm. With it being so cold out I was looking forward to a hot meal. I found one little spot with sour cream, about half a teaspoonful worth. There were little tiny bits of avocado spread throughout, none of them big enough to taste. The whole burrito was extremely bland. I ended up adding some pepper to it to help it out but I shouldn't have to. I didn't didn't even remember it was supposed to be fajita until just now when I started to type my review. What was inside it didn't taste like fajita to me, it just tasted like a burrito full of ingredients that were all mixed up so that you could barely taste any individual flavors. I will say that it was a good size but I had to eat it with my Fork and the flour tortilla was so flimsy I could cut through it with my Fork easily so no wonder it broke apart in my fingers. Oh and they don't give you any chips when you sit down like most places do. Ironically it seems like the more expensive the place is the less likely they are to give you free chips. Go figure. I had just had some dynamite chips at the new place over by Cash Saver a couple days before so I missed being able to munch on some while I waited for my meal. The burrito was $7.99 and I guess it was worth it although I wouldn't order it again. There was no salsa at all. In all fairness the girl did ask me if I wanted salsa when she brought the burrito but I guess I assumed it would be spicy enough without so I said no thank you. Which reminds me, after my food was brought I never saw another person or heard from anyone for the rest of my meal until I was done and waiting for my ticket to be presented. I didn't realize there were people waiting for a table since you can't see the front door from where I was sitting. The man who had taken my order told me I could pay at the front counter so I immediately got up and went there. I didn't leave a tip because I didn't actually receive any service. I usually leave 20% unless the service doesn't warrant it. Like I said, the place was crowded so it's evidently a local favorite. I'm not going to discourage you from going there. I can only speak on my own experience which wasn't that great.

Clean restaurant with polite staff. Only patrons in the restaurant so the service was not terrible. Unfortunately, it is never a good sign to hear your food being microwaved as you sit and wait. Food was delivered to the table within a few minutes of ordering. Rice and beans were definitely microwaved, but had a decent taste. They reminded me of an old microwave Mexican food dinner. The chili relleno was not good at all. It had an awkward taste and was drenched in liquid that appeared to be from the dozen or so slices of onion and tomato on top of it. The salad garnish was brown and appeared to be quite old. Next time, let's not microwave everything. Hopefully the other food is better.

Very clean place and smell great. I think the review from Susan C is snobby. This place worth visiting. It's good comfort food (American and Mexican) and has excellent pricing. I got Rosa's breakfast. Really like pancakes, sausage was kind of over cooked thought. My friends had coffee and everyone commented how good it is. They also tried veggie omelet and burrito - all plates were finished. And it is open on Sun which is big plus in Amarillo. Staff is excellent!

Very clean place they were closed for inventory or something the doors were open he said we are closed but come in and eat

Place was close for restocking or something the door were open the owner said we are closed but ... Said you look hungry come in I'll feed you ... Nice friendly staff the owner is a sweet heart they are (Vape) friendly so that's nice to but then. Again there was no one else in the place but my self my son my wife and mom .... Waiting for food....... 15 min awesome time for Amarillo usually wait time in Amarillo at any place is 20-35 min wait time Food is hot fresh and tasty wow very good place The ambiance and decor is a little fade but does no justice the food is still on. Stopped here for a late bruch. We were greeted by a smiling face, who seated us right away. Our drink order was taken immediately & served while we looked over the large menu. It took us awhile to decide what to order. We ordered the huevos ranchos with eggs over medium and the Erik burrito with no beans, double rice. My other half would rate the huevos as good only because the eggs were slightly under done. The home fries were very good. The refried beans were a little thin. My Erik burrito was great! It was prepared just as I ordered it. The salsa served on the side was spicy but complimented the burrito. We didnt give this cafe a 5 star rating since it took quite a while to get our meals. But we would stop by again when we are in the area.

Well, that was us today -- and Bubba's 33 absolutely delivered. My husband ordered the smash burger, and I got the New England-style fish and chips, plus a full order of their hand-breaded, hand-cut onion rings that are honestly to die for. We picked everything up just 15 minutes after ordering, and every single item tasted like it had just come straight from the kitchen to our table. The onion rings were perfectly crispy with that fresh-from-the-fryer crunch and flavor. The fish had that classic crunchy beer batter on the outside while still being flaky and tender inside, and the garlic mashed potatoes were clearly homemade with just the right amount of garlic. Now let's talk about the smash burger... it was HUGE. Seriously, it could feed three people. My husband practically inhaled it before I could even take a picture! What really impressed me wasn't just the portion sizes -- it was the attention to detail. The onion rings were packaged separately so they stayed crisp, and the savory Bubba's 33 sauce paired perfectly with them. We each ate several onion rings and STILL had leftovers. Even the side salad was incredibly fresh. I'm obsessed with those little crispy potato straws on top, and the homemade ranch is the perfect finishing touch. Honestly, it was refreshing to order takeout and not have a single issue. Nothing missing, nothing cold, nothing soggy or stale -- just an exceptional meal from start to finish. Huge shoutout to the cooking staff and online order prep team at Bubba's 33. You all absolutely crushed it tonight. We will definitely be ordering again and again!

I had the imposter with breaded mushrooms. Super crispy Cremini mushrooms with great crunch but the rest was kinda meh, romaine and drizzle of sauce and balsamic. At least with the pickled onions there was a little palate tease. Also tried the Al pastor with jackfruit. Opted for this version on a salad and it's a whopping serving size. Hearty serving of jackfruit with plenty of sauce and dressing. Had nice little nibs of some crunch too. Service was super, super nice. I'd call the inside dive-ish. Totally relaxed and chill ambiance. I'll be back to try more items! My one dislike was that I don't care for the balsamic drizzle on either dish... just doesn't pair well with these flavors. Side of pineapple was yummy to balance the heaviness of both dishes.

My lovely husband picked up the food and I was just so upset when I took one bite of the liver and onions, it was hard, over charred and not their normal way in which they fix it. The onions weren't grilled, just sliced and cooked slightly and laid on top. The squash casserole was equally as disappointing! Not cooked, just grainy and tasted like it was mixed but not baked. I also feel very suspicious because it had NO CHEESE! The carrots obviously canned commercial carrots but no glaze. This truly reminded me of hospital food. I couldn't eat any of it, I called for a manager and got Sarah. She said that they couldn't refund me but put me down for a redo later. At this point I don't think I want to go back there. I get that restaurants are struggling but there really wasn't any reason for this to be so flimsy and unappetizing. My husband's mean wasn't much better. Asked for gravy on the potatoes and the chicken fried steak and it wasn't there on the steak. The steak also looked frozen and fried, not hand breaded like they use to be. Nevertheless this was definitely one of my worst take out food experiences! So they did earn that distinction. Overall, I'm just sad, I wanted comfort food while getting over this eye infection, not something that was distasteful and sloppy presented. Sarah did say there is a new cook so we can lay this disaster at his doorstep then.

If you are looking for white tablecloths, subtle lighting, or a quiet place to whisper sweet…read morenothings, keep driving past Coyote Bluff Cafe (often locally called the "Coyote Bluu" or simply "The Bluff") in Amarillo, Texas. But if your idea of culinary heaven involves a grease-stained paper liner, an old-school Texas roadhouse vibe, and a burger that requires structural support, you have arrived at the right place. Nestled just a few blocks off Interstate 40 in a historic, diminutive former dance hall moved wholesale from neighboring Claude, Texas, Coyote Bluff is tiny. With only about 12 tables packed into its 1,000 square feet, the atmosphere is alive with a loud, friendly hum, a dirt parking lot, and a vintage bathtub floating full of ice and cold beer bottles. The place is amazing!!!! The unique steaming process is really amazing. You have to try the chili cheese fries to go with it. The menu keeps its focus tight, centering around half-pound patties of lean Texas ground beef cooked to order. While traditional options like the Hickory Burger and the Green Chili Cheese Burger are stellar, the undisputed heavyweight titleholder here is the legendary Burger from Hell. I had to try it, my wife opted for the Chicken Fried Steak. Many approach the "Hell Burger" with great trepidation, expecting it to be more of a gimmick built strictly on painful, mouth-numbing heat. Instead, it offers a beautifully layered flavor profile. The beef patty with Tabasco and their proprietary "Coyote Hell Sauce," then smothers it in gooey melted cheese, grilled onions, and fresh, vibrant sautéed jalapeños. It arrived on a toasted onion bun, it lands a solid 7 out of 10 on the heat scale. But rather than scorching your palate, it wraps it in a vinegary, spicy, deeply savory warmth. This place also serves up classic, heavy-hitting Texas roadhouse appetizers: Each of these are amazing sides and are worth of mentioning, First the Cheese Fries with Green Chiles, which I had with my burger and my wife had with her Chicken fried steak, it is served on a massive aluminum platter, these fresh-cut fries are heavily blanketed in melted cheese and mild green chiles. They are a mandatory companion to the burgers.  Other appetizers worth of note, are the Texas Red Chili & Green Chili Stew: The thick, hearty green chili stew is packed with meat and mild green peppers, offering a wonderful warming comfort, especially during cool Panhandle days.  and any of the Fried options ranging from baskets of battered fried pickles, garlic mushrooms, and stuffed jalapeños. Because everything is cooked to order and the dining room is incredibly compact, expect a wait during lunch rushes or weekends. However, that time spent waiting in the dirt lot among locals and passing road-trippers is part of the charm. Coyote Bluff Cafe doesn't try to be anything other than a spectacular, small-town Texas burger joint, and it executes that identity flawlessly. This is a MUST Stop in Texas
