I ordered via door dash and most of my order was messed up. I requested no cheese for the eggplant dish and received cheese on the eggplant and the side of vegetables. The medatarian linguine was supposed to come with shrimp (as shown in the picture and description) and there was no shrimp. Garlic bread is very dry. The penne and sausage was good. That's all. Decided to stop here for dinner after visiting a couple local wineries. They have a very cute outdoor eating area with heaters! Staff was very friendly, tables were spaced apart, and they took our temperature before allowing us indoors to use restroom! I felt totally safe amid this pandemic. And, the food... was delicious!! I'm still thinking of the veggie risotto! The Ribeye steak was cooked perfect; the penne spicy sausage was amazing! And, the cheesy bread they brought to the table was so yummy! Very disappointed in this business. My niece reserved their more private room with a TV for her sons birthday (party of 25) so the adults would be able to watch the game. My niece arrived to find the room wouldn't be available because another party had arrived 4 hours earlier and according to the owner "they were spending a lot of money" and he wouldn't ask them to move. So rude? Would we not have spent money there too? Then he tried to blame his new staff for taking the reservation wrong and wanted to put only 10 of our guests in the bar area. Every place I have ever gone to with a large crowd, I've been told if our party needed to wrap up at a specific time to accomodoate another reservation. Poorly handled by this business. As a person born and raised in this town who supports smalll businesses I will never be back. read more

As a chef, I can be critical and a pain in the ass to dine with ( sometimes), but my lunch here today was absolutely epic. The salmon with vegetable risotto was a bomb, the rib eye steak with the house speciality potatoes was delicious, the vegetarian Fettucine was also very tasty. Stopped here for lunch while out doing a little wine tasting...I ordered a small tomato, basil and garlic pizza with a mixed green salad. The salad greens were very fresh, it was great. The pizza tasted great, but the crust was a little thick for my liking and could have been cooked a little longer. I also suggest cutting the tomatoes in a flat circular shape versus the chucks. My only complaint is that my glass of water had lipstick around the rim. I didn't make a fuss and wiped it off, but the staff definitely needs to ensure they check the rims of the jar type glasses. read more

We had a very nice Father's Day dinner. The food was tasty and the prices more than reasonable. The portions were generous. The owner came out to see how we liked our meal and was very nice. We had appetizer, salad, penne with spicy sausage and my husband had the rib eye. The garlic potatoes were delicious. We had left overs to take home given the portion size. The wine selection was limited but the bottle we had was very good and more than affordable. The restaurant is newly remodeled and was very clean with simple decor. For some reason noise bounces off the walls so its louder than it should be for the number of people there. This would be my only issue but in general it was a very nice dinner. We will definately be back. We did not have the pizza and look forward to trying it. read more

Unfortunately our experience here was less than desirable to say the least. I honestly try to do my best to not give bad reviews (especially for local family owned businesses) but there wasn't much to enjoy here. On our first night in Sonoma we decided to grab pizza here based on the good Yelp reviews. Unfortunately from the get go nothing was enjoyable. To start, we waited over 10 minutes to have our drink order taken and about 10 minutes later we were served 2 glasses of bad wine (I'm no wine specialist but it seemed liked bad wine but it wasn't high end wine so maybe we both ordered bad brands. After we took a couple sips we ordered two draft pilsners and figured we would save our wine drinking for the vineyards. The fact that the wine was bad isn't really what lead to my dissatisfaction, but the waitress didn't even ask if anything was wrong since we had two almost full glasses of wine sitting in front of us and now we ordered beers. Ok now to the food. Greek salad was ok at best and the pizza had toppings that were completely uncooked as if almost thrown on top after the crust was baked and the crust itself was a cardboard consistency. I have honestly had better pizza crust made from pre packaged grocery store brands. In closing if I had to go here again (which I won't) I would avoid the pizza and salad and try some pasta and if the service was better I would have considered Jacob's 3 stars instead of 2. read more

Price of Sonoma I guess? The workers were very nice and the place was cute and clean. Coming from the east coast, we quickly realized we can't rely too much on the vacay west coast eats reviews as much because we were always left wanting something a bit more flavorful... maybe many people love this place after a lovely day of wine-ing and traveling. We were just hungry and just semi-satisfied with the food. The ingredient quality was certainly there along with the freshness. But I would caution with the reviews saying that it's the best pizza or gyro... because it's just fine! Next time, we will likely try to not expect as much from small vacation towns! Jacob does not just have splendid pizza! We just had another wonderful meal from Jacob's Restaurant. It was sautéed ,perfectly seasoned 'fresh snapper which we ate over a luscious Greek salad. It was a truly splendid meal. On other occasions we have have had incredible eggplant parmigiana, perfectly prepared lamb, best ever roast chicken. My wife and I came here by accident, after being told it was an hour and a half wait at four other restaurants we called here and were told there was no wait...we decided to take a chance. From start to finish, this was the best meal I've ever had in my entire life, no hyperbole required!!!! Each and every dish was pure perfection, seasoned with love and served as a work of art. From the first sip of Jacob's reserve merlot to the last scraping fork full of lobster ravioli it was a sublime symphony of culinary majesty. There is ABSOLUTELY no reason that this place shouldn't have an hours long wait for a table. Jacob and his wife Helena are gracious hosts and feel like old family friends welcoming you into their home kitchen, showing you how family cooking should be done. My first time at Jacobs and it will definitely not be my last. I had the Greek salad and it was delicious. A large salad full of olives, artichoke slices, tomatoes, fresh Romain lettuce, roasted peppers. I could not finish the salad and needed a box to take rest home. Friendly waitress and she knew what Vegan meant. I was very happy and impressed. Jacob the owner came over to our table and introduced himself. Very personable. I was so happy with my visit, that I had Jacob cater a part of 33. The pasta was spectacular. The portion sizes were large. All of the party goers were extremely happy with the food. My last 2 ordered pizzas, they were made wrong. It really sucked because I've got to drive all the way out by Sonoma raceway. When I told the owner's wife about the first pizza be made wrong it seemed like she didn't care. The last time or two extra large pizzas one thin crust one thick crust and I got to thin crust which I hate thin crust, I was really bummed they didn't offer to make it right make sure your pizza is correct when you pick it up.
