    Penne Spicy Sausage
    Caron M.

I'm staying at the resort across the street from this restaurant, and after a long day, couldn't face driving anywhere for dinner. I had a sneaking suspicion that something called Jacob's Restaurant tucked into a strip mall would be a bland old fashioned 'family restaurant' affair and the exterior and interior (complete with sunflower table cloth) didn't assuage my concerns. But I'm happy to say I was so wrong. They had a solid wine list, solid service, and really well cooked from scratch pasta. I had the spicy penne and it was delicious. Pasta was perfectly al dente, the sausage nicely spiced though a sludge dense, and the creamy sauce was good enough to swim in. The server was stretched a bit thin, caring for a half dozen tables plus covering the brisk takeout business, but we were still taken care of. What a disguised gem.

We chose this nearby restaurant after a long day of travel without being able to eat. The restaurant specializes in pizza and Italian dishes. I had the spicy penne. The pasta was served in a spicy red sauce. The sauce had some but not a lot of spice. The dish hit the spot after not having much to eat because of travel. The penne was very good. The service was fine. Prices were reasonable. We struck up a conversation with diners at a near by table. They had some recommendations regarding local wineries. I'd recommend this restaurant and would return.

Gluten free pepperoni pizza with pineapple and mushrooms

Wonderful pizza spot next to the train amusement park. The pizzas are baked perfectly and loaded with a ton of ingredients. They also had gluten free options which made my kids incredibly happy. They are quite busy though so unfortunately they forgot to put pepperoni on my pepperoni pizza... uh... thankfully they easily fixed it and put so a ton on top. If I'm in the area, I'll be back!

I usually wait until my second visit and/or second dish before I give a restaurant a 5th star, but Jacob's gets that 5th star on my first visit! The staff were super attentive even though they were very busy and they were also very friendly. The food was delicious, my wife and I got a large Sonoma Pizza and a mixed green salad to share. Before we even got to the pizza, that was the best green salad I've ever had. Simple, yummy, especially the cucumbers and cherry tomatoes. I am a pizza snob, and with the exception of Mountain Mike's, I can't stand any of the big chains. The Sonoma pizza had the perfect balance of pepperoni, salami, mushrooms, onions and garlic. The restaurant was also impeccably decorated, with a splash of Italy and Sonoma Wine country represented. Every dish they walked by made my mouth water. We definitely be going back again and again, especially when we head out that way for wine tasting.

3rd time dining here and every time has been satisfied with good food a great advice. Today we had a large all meet, lamb gyro with a Greek salad , cheese bread a a pitcher. All of it was good and we would order it all again.

In Sonoma it is not real easy to find a restaurant open on Tuesday or Wednesday. Luckily we found Jacob's. This is a small family business. The service and staff are great. The server recommend wines were very good. We ordered bruschetta 4/5, calamari 5/5, and a pizza half Sonoma 5/5 and half ham and pineapple 5/5. The pizza crust is very good.

Ordered a small cheese pizza First time here, Lacking cheese as the main ingredient, one and a half slices had NO CHEESE And the cheese that was put on was very thin and the taste just isn't there. Needs more cheese and flavor. Cheese tastes weird It doesn't taste very good I wouldn't go back not good pizza at all

I paid $70 bucks for this pizza off DoorDash, I did get a lot of toppings but they put raw tomato on there I did give the dasher a $5 tip but $70 for this is a rip off. Currently cooking the tomato in my oven the adding to my pizza then cooking the undercooked pizza

    Penne Chicken

Super great service, amazing food. Server was amazing and very welcoming! Penne Chicken, sauce seemed homemade which was great, it personally for my palette, it needed a little more salt but that was an easy fix. Pepperoni pizza with pineapple was great. My toddler enjoyed it! linguine seafood was great, good size portion with great flavor.

Some friends invited us for dinner here and they ordered the pizza ahead of time so when we all arrived it was ready for us. Our waiter Joaquin was very friendly and helpful in ordering our drinks and making sure we had everything we needed. The combination pizza was very good. She swapped the tomato for sundried tomato which I loved gave it another flavor. Pizza is thin and has tons of toppings on it. It has a spacious inside area to dine in and also a small outdoor area which I am sure is very nice to sit at, but it was full when we got there. Will be back I do want to try other things they have on their menu that sounded good.

Just got here today on a little foodie tour we decided to embark on and we are off to a great start. Asked around and we ended up at a small and local family owned Italian restaurant, Della Santina's! This family go back quite awhile here in the Marin and Sonoma Valley areas and have been cooking Tuscan style home made Italian dishes and man you can really taste and see the quality. It was a short walk from our hotel and upon arriving, we were seated in their back garden area pretty quickly. Was very quaint and the atmosphere and service was excellent. After a bit we ordered some excellent wine, took in the evening specials and placed our order. It is important to note the hat all the pasta is made fresh daily on premises, no box pasta here and the sauces are also made fresh daily as well and most to order which is amazing. On this occasion, we stuck to the home made pasta dishes, Lasagna Bolognese and Veal Pasta Special which were both delicious and their home made minestrone soup was out of this world. We really enjoyed our meal and it seemed like very one around us was having a great time as well. Rounding the corner we ordered some excellent espresso and cappuccino to close out the evening. Overall, it was amazing and it shows when you know the owner is making rounds at all the tables in o make sure everything is as it should be. We will definitely be visiting again next time we are in Sonoma. If you find your self in the area and feel like some Italian you cannot go wrong with Della Santina's so make sure to check them out. Enjoy your trip and Bon Appétit mes amis!

To finish the meal our server brought us a complimentary dessert wine. It was a very memorable meal and I would return again if in town.

Another person at the table has the pappardelle and loved it. The eggplant parmigiana got rave reviews as did the other pasta dishes, meatballs and the sole. The light beers we ordered were highly carbonated and we would have preferred a Peroni. The service from our server Fox was great, he was friendly and attentive during our meal service. So crispy and garlicky! And, the kitchen (plus our amazing server Gustavo!!) was kind enough to make a custom pesto cavatelli for me because I didn't want the cavatelli with morel mushrooms! I will be thinking about the texture of this pasta + the pistachio pesto for a long time. They kept the corn pudding of the original dish at the bottom and it was such a good combination of flavors. I got chicken added on top. I got an espresso martini with gin; pretty good, just wished there was a bit more espresso flavor. Probably would order one of their house cocktails instead next time. Lastly we had the stone fruit cobbler with ice cream and a pine nut/pistachio brittle. Unlike any other cobbler I've ever had. Perfection of different textures. Also, we had the duck fat fries on another day; they were delightfully crispy and lightly seasoned with garlic. The ranch it came with was so yummy and definitely dill-forward. The Parker house rolls looked a lot more impressive than they tasted. Over salted on top. Airy texture inside but weirdly chewy in a Wonder bread goopy way. Not a pleasing mouth feel. After just 15 minutes on our table they were stale. Bambie ordered salmon. Nice hunk, probably 7 ounces. Pink and fleshy. Moist. Gently cooked. Sides were garden fresh vegetables. I ate the 1/2 chicken. Airline cut. It was a little pullet, maybe 6 ounces. Cooked well. The spicy red sauce that was under the bird was outstanding. I'd be perfectly happy to have a plate of spaghetti with this sauce. The crunchy fingerling potatoes were fun at first, but as the meal went on I couldn't finish them. They were too oily and too salty. Dessert was the recommended cheesecake. Righteous. The exterior of the big slice had a mild Crème brûlée texture and the cake itself was a heavenly cloud. The poached strawberries were the perfect accompaniment. So, is this a 5 star meal & experience? No. i put it in the casual sort'a fine dining box. Last night I ate at The Girl and the Fig on the Sonoma town square. That meal was much more delicious for significantly less money. Tourists who are overly impressed with Michael Mina will be happy here. Locals like me who grew up eating at Sondra Bernstein's several restaurants over the years will be even happier.
