We chose this nearby restaurant after a long day of travel without being able to eat. The restaurant specializes in pizza and Italian dishes. I had the spicy penne. The pasta was served in a spicy red sauce. The sauce had some but not a lot of spice. The dish hit the spot after not having much to eat because of travel. The penne was very good. The service was fine. Prices were reasonable. We struck up a conversation with diners at a near by table. They had some recommendations regarding local wineries. I'd recommend this restaurant and would return.

Wonderful pizza spot next to the train amusement park. The pizzas are baked perfectly and loaded with a ton of ingredients. They also had gluten free options which made my kids incredibly happy. They are quite busy though so unfortunately they forgot to put pepperoni on my pepperoni pizza... uh... thankfully they easily fixed it and put so a ton on top. If I'm in the area, I'll be back!

I usually wait until my second visit and/or second dish before I give a restaurant a 5th star, but Jacob's gets that 5th star on my first visit! The staff were super attentive even though they were very busy and they were also very friendly. The food was delicious, my wife and I got a large Sonoma Pizza and a mixed green salad to share. Before we even got to the pizza, that was the best green salad I've ever had. Simple, yummy, especially the cucumbers and cherry tomatoes. I am a pizza snob, and with the exception of Mountain Mike's, I can't stand any of the big chains. The Sonoma pizza had the perfect balance of pepperoni, salami, mushrooms, onions and garlic. The restaurant was also impeccably decorated, with a splash of Italy and Sonoma Wine country represented. Every dish they walked by made my mouth water. We definitely be going back again and again, especially when we head out that way for wine tasting.

3rd time dining here and every time has been satisfied with good food a great advice. Today we had a large all meet, lamb gyro with a Greek salad , cheese bread a a pitcher. All of it was good and we would order it all again.

In Sonoma it is not real easy to find a restaurant open on Tuesday or Wednesday. Luckily we found Jacob's. This is a small family business. The service and staff are great. The server recommend wines were very good. We ordered bruschetta 4/5, calamari 5/5, and a pizza half Sonoma 5/5 and half ham and pineapple 5/5. The pizza crust is very good.

Ordered a small cheese pizza First time here, Lacking cheese as the main ingredient, one and a half slices had NO CHEESE And the cheese that was put on was very thin and the taste just isn't there. Needs more cheese and flavor. Cheese tastes weird It doesn't taste very good I wouldn't go back not good pizza at all

I paid $70 bucks for this pizza off DoorDash, I did get a lot of toppings but they put raw tomato on there I did give the dasher a $5 tip but $70 for this is a rip off. Currently cooking the tomato in my oven the adding to my pizza then cooking the undercooked pizza

Super great service, amazing food. Server was amazing and very welcoming! Penne Chicken, sauce seemed homemade which was great, it personally for my palette, it needed a little more salt but that was an easy fix. Pepperoni pizza with pineapple was great. My toddler enjoyed it! linguine seafood was great, good size portion with great flavor.

Some friends invited us for dinner here and they ordered the pizza ahead of time so when we all arrived it was ready for us. Our waiter Joaquin was very friendly and helpful in ordering our drinks and making sure we had everything we needed. The combination pizza was very good. She swapped the tomato for sundried tomato which I loved gave it another flavor. Pizza is thin and has tons of toppings on it. It has a spacious inside area to dine in and also a small outdoor area which I am sure is very nice to sit at, but it was full when we got there. Will be back I do want to try other things they have on their menu that sounded good.

My husband and I walked to Jacob's restaurant from our hotel. It was a 15 to 20 minute walk. There weren't many people when we arrived, so the place was ours. We found the service to be good and the food was tasty and fresh. We plan to visit again when we make our trips to Sonoma.

It was beautifully plated in a rustic manner. The duck was perfectly cooked. I ordered it because of the wild rice risotto. It was fabulous. Don't expect a creamy risotto like an arborio rice risotto. This had so much flavor and a little chew to it as it was wild rice. I loved it. The vegetables, green beans and carrot--were vibrant and cooked just right. Everything was delicious. Service: From being greeted by the host and being attended to by my server, to the gentleman I assume is the owner who came to my table several times to ask how my meal was, the service was excellent. Attentive without hovering, and comfortably friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere: I sat on the patio under trellis with grapevines and clusters of big purple grapes overhead. The space felt intimate, but also open between tables. There were quite a few tables full, but it never felt loud or too busy. It was such a pretty, pleasant environment for a wonderful meal. I will definitely go back.

Yes, please Other dishes are fine but not quite there Pesto linguini: wish it had more kick, maybe a little more garlic and some pine nuts. Enjoyed but not crave worthy. Prosciutto & melon: a special. Eh. Nothing stood out. Figs might have been the best item. The food gets a passing grade but the ambience and service drags it down. Perfunctory might be the word. Several Yelpers have commented the attitude comes from the top and that seemed to check out.

So crispy and garlicky! And, the kitchen (plus our amazing server Gustavo!!) was kind enough to make a custom pesto cavatelli for me because I didn't want the cavatelli with morel mushrooms! I will be thinking about the texture of this pasta + the pistachio pesto for a long time. They kept the corn pudding of the original dish at the bottom and it was such a good combination of flavors. I got chicken added on top. I got an espresso martini with gin; pretty good, just wished there was a bit more espresso flavor. Probably would order one of their house cocktails instead next time. Lastly we had the stone fruit cobbler with ice cream and a pine nut/pistachio brittle. Unlike any other cobbler I've ever had. Perfection of different textures. Also, we had the duck fat fries on another day; they were delightfully crispy and lightly seasoned with garlic. The ranch it came with was so yummy and definitely dill-forward. The Parker house rolls looked a lot more impressive than they tasted. Over salted on top. Airy texture inside but weirdly chewy in a Wonder bread goopy way. Not a pleasing mouth feel. After just 15 minutes on our table they were stale. Bambie ordered salmon. Nice hunk, probably 7 ounces. Pink and fleshy. Moist. Gently cooked. Sides were garden fresh vegetables. I ate the 1/2 chicken. Airline cut. It was a little pullet, maybe 6 ounces. Cooked well. The spicy red sauce that was under the bird was outstanding. I'd be perfectly happy to have a plate of spaghetti with this sauce. The crunchy fingerling potatoes were fun at first, but as the meal went on I couldn't finish them. They were too oily and too salty. Dessert was the recommended cheesecake. Righteous. The exterior of the big slice had a mild Crème brûlée texture and the cake itself was a heavenly cloud. The poached strawberries were the perfect accompaniment. So, is this a 5 star meal & experience? No. i put it in the casual sort'a fine dining box. Last night I ate at The Girl and the Fig on the Sonoma town square. That meal was much more delicious for significantly less money. Tourists who are overly impressed with Michael Mina will be happy here. Locals like me who grew up eating at Sondra Bernstein's several restaurants over the years will be even happier.
