Drinks: We ordered aperol spritz, these drinks were not on the menu and the bartender accommodated and made them for us. Food: The buffalo wings were good, both the sauce and wings were flavorful. Steak Salad - sooooooo appetizing I didn't want to stop eating it. I would order this over and over again. The seasoning and choice of ingredients blended perfectly. I wasn't expecting much from a quick airport hotel restaurant visit, but this spot exceeded every expectation. It's a hotel so very family and professional atmosphere. I had very tight schedule so when I went to Hyatt Regency South inside DFW airport to get to Restaurant there was waiting time but they told me I can go straight to the buffet. Exactly that's what I did. I went straight to the buffet. It's not knowing I ended up with this kind of horrible experience. I picked up asparagus, the meat what they call tenderloin and another fibrous meat. God knows that it's pork, or chicken. Look like all of them are overcooked and some kind of jelly like gravy ( maybe chip McCormick package). I've been coming here for a long time and I've seen it's gone down to hell with a hand-basket. Went for breakfast and chose the buffet. Not a huge selection but what was available was quality. I liked that the bacon wasn't overly cooked and dry as it can be. They had an omelette station which I didn't have the room to try along with lox and bagels and other assorted baked goods. The sausage was on the grainy side but the fruits were nice and fresh. Lots of toppings for the oatmeal. Service was prompt and friendly. Only disappointed was the signage said French toast, which I was looking forward to, when they were actually serving pancakes. read more

The service was very slow, and the food was okay. My hubby had the salmon burger, which he said was okay--certainly not the best he has ever had. I had the mussels, which was a nice serving but there was not enough broth to sop up my French loaf. The mussels were also very under seasoned. Garlic toast instead of the hard bread would have made a lot of difference. We had the breakfast buffet as well. They have a lot of offerings, but most of them are mediocre. For $20 you can still get your money's worth if you have my favorites, which are orange juice, coffee, fresh fruit, salmon with all of the trimmings, an omelette, and bacon. I stayed here at the Hyatt for business overnight and had lunch one day, then the breakfast buffet the following AM at Jacob's Grille. Lunch was the heirloom tomato and avocado salad which was really nice; presentation was good and the tomatoes/avocado were fresh. Dressing was creamy and complemented the dish well. It was a good choice for a light lunch. The breakfast buffet was $20 and included a drink (coffee for me). It basically offers everything available on the menu (including an omelet station, bagel/smoked salmon station, cereal, assorted breads/muffins, yogurt, eggs, eggs Benedict, fresh fruit, breakfast meats, etc.). The buffet is essentially a better value, as you'd pay near $20 for a drink with most of the a la carte items. Smoked salmon and capers are my fav, so I had plenty along with some toast and eggs. Salmon was fresh and flavorful; this was my favorite part of the breakfast. Eggs were prepared well, also...I had no complaints. It's a general breakfast buffet; nothing super special about it. Wait staff for both meals were very pleasant, attentive and informative. Since you're a bit segregated by the DFW complex, food and drinks seem to be more expensive than they would be outside of the airport area. But it was better than average for hotel food. read more

Roomie place with lots of tables and small bar area. There's a few flat screen TVs throughout the seating area. What I didn't notice until later, was that there is also an outside seating area. Ordered the Double Patty Hamburger which has cheese on it. Ordered fries as a side. While waiting I had a Shiner Bock (brown ale)...which was pretty tasty. I was a little taken back as the size of the burger was definitely on the small side. Selling it only as a double patty is a must. Now the burger was actually pretty good and so were the fries. Out the door with tip...$22. So a little on the high side but average for a hotel, especially one at the airport. Nothing to boast about or real complain about this place. No objections to eating here again. FYI: my receipt says Aces Sports Bar...apparently a name change has occurred. read more

It is what it is. You're at an airport hotel. Play it safe and get the build your own pizza. 4 toppings for $17. It's a good portion and tastes good. All 3 stars go to the waitstaff and Dr Pepper. The Mexican food they had for the buffet that night was subpar. If Taco Bueno catered that night, it would've been awesome cause the atmosphere is great! Like I mentioned earlier, the waitstaff was attentive and Dr Pepper was really good too. That was just about the best thing there. Would I go back? Yeah, if the people I was meeting at the airport didn't have enough time to go anywhere else. While staying at the Hyatt Regency DFW for a convention, we found ourselves here for dinner on a Friday evening. The menu isn't expansive, but there's enough to please most people. I selected the BYO (build your own) pizza, with pepperoni, sausage, caramelized onions and jalapenos. Upon delivery, I feasted upon a thin crust pie that was a good size for almost two meals, with good quality toppings, sauce and cheese. The crust was crispy but not overly so, and was cooked perfectly. My dining partners ordered pizzas of their own, and they were pleased as well. You're not likely to find too many bargains here (it is a restaurant inside of a semi-upscale hotel, after all), but you're probably reading this review mainly because you're staying at the hotel or are thinking about it. Better Than Average Hotel Grill After 1o hours of traveling we ended up in the lobby grill tired and hungry and were we surprised. The service was great as was the food. The hamburgers were cooked to perfection as was the Chicken Quesadilla. The salmon was beyond good. Perfectly cooked fish that was full of flavors. There was also a nice selection of beers and wines. We were held captive to the Hyatt restaurant and coffee bar for a four day bridge tournament. The day we arrived was great. We took the Grapevine bus to a wonderful restaurant. However due to bridge we were forced to eat dinner at Jacobs. We had the $16 buffet the first two nights. Average food but a nice green salad. The third day my husband had a burger because the buffet did not look so good. While the food did not look so good, see pictures, I figured I could get a salad and it was cheaper then the menu. Flatbread came out quickly, red onions were not actually cooked, arugula was a nice touch, jam was too heavy in many places and I'm doubtful it was marscapone. It tasted more like Swiss? Wait staff was it attentive from waiting at the host stand with no hello for far too long, over 10 minutes to take my order and my side salad was delivered after i was done eating my flatbread. Overall nice looking restaurant, good in theory but fell far short of my expectations for a Hyatt hotel restaurant. My flight was delayed and I had to stay the night at the Hyatt Regency hotel where the only food option was the Jacobs Spring Grille. I was skeptical at first, as I was expecting a limited menu and mediocre tasting food but I was pleasantly surprised! We ordered the Grilled Salmon and Farro and the Pan Seared Snapper and both were delicious and very flavorful. Although the prices are on the higher side, you receive a lot of food and a large piece of fish. The display of the food was also a very nice touch! This is a place inside the lobby of the Hyatt Regency hotel at the DFW airport that provides an OK food at airport prices. Come in closer to the closing time (11PM), and you will have to use the takeout and buy drinks separately at the nearby Jett's. These are the only options at the Regency. Both are OK, but Hyatt should aim higher. read more

What the heck is it about hotel food outlets that they're so darn mediocre? What an utterly forgettable, blah meal. And for a restaurant that purports to be "locally sourced, carefully served" and subdivides its menu with headings like "Inspired" or "Freshness", the sin of beige, boring food seems particularly egregious. Alas, poor traveler, if you're stuck here. It appears that you're going to spend as much or more than the cost of dinner here on a car service to take you to a decent restaurant. It might just be time to lower the expectations, get a stiff drink, and order the burger. read more

The food was definitely delicious. I just feel that it was a tad overpriced for what I was getting but it is a restaurant in a a hotel right by the airport, so what could you expect? I like this place! The food is very good. Usually in a Hotel it is hit or miss with the restaurant. But, this one is really good. Jacobs is located inside the Hyatt Regency at the Airport in DFW It is a little high priced however, most Hotel Restaurants are. I have been here about 6 times now and everything has always been great. The Breakfast Buffet is my favorite here. There are so many choices, that no one could say they don't like it. They even make you an Omelet with anything you want in it. The omelettes are huge. So if you get that you are pretty filled up. The servers are great here and they serve really good strong coffee, which my be starbucks . I am not sure. But, it is good. Everything including the coffee is Pipping hot when you get it. But, it is always a little bit drafty inside the dining area so it will go cold fast. The Buffet has wonderful trays of fresh fruit and all sorts of breads and rolls. As well as Potatoes, sausage, and grits and Oatmeal. Lunch and dinner and really good as well. read more

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency DFW where this place is located and did not eat the restaurant's traditional menu. Since we were staying for a convention we wanted to fuel up as much as we could so we did the buffets instead. There is a breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet, with the price for each increasing in the same order. I enjoyed the breakfast and dinner buffets, with the lunch one being OK (albiet the healthiest too). The food is good enough and is surely better than places like Golden Corral, which makes me feel sick. They offer entrees, salad, dessert, and a soup of some sort for dinner. With this being at a hotel you can expect it to be a bit pricy for what they offer. There are more expensive buffets out there but they also offer tons of options, but nonetheless the quality of the eats here was positive. read more

The food was prepared perfectly by Sonia and the freshness was pleasant. There were a few Dallas Cowboys fans with the lounge and I loved the atmosphere. Eat in the airport! This restaurant shares the cavernous lobby of the hotel with the noisiest sports bar ever next to it. We could not even talk to each other due to the continual screeching and shrieking coming from the bar. Then the Caesar salads we ordered were full of brown-edged lettuce to make the expereince even worse. read more
