The bartender working on Tuesday the 12/01/2020 around 2 pm was amazing. Kudos to her! She gave just what we needed before a long flight and her drinks were amazing. We ordered a new Mule and a Grapefruit Paloma. The mule was tasty and the Paloma was made with fresh grapefruit juice. So good. I couldn't even finish it. Thank you This is a good spot to get some tacos and drinks before your flight. The tacos smelled delicious but we only stopped for drinks !

Spent a couple of hours here waiting on my flight and wouldn't dine here again. The drink was just ok and the taco the same. The salsa was literally juice and the quick tasted store bought. My server was somewhat friendly. She started out with a tude and warm up later on.

    Blue corn nachos

So on our next visit, we decided to order the sampler, grouchy bartender and all. The taquitos & Blue corn nachos were great, but the quesadilla was beyond repulsive. I knew when I saw "caramelized onions" it was a risk. Most places are unable to live up to that adjective, but hey, it's one thing on a sampler, right? Not only were the onions not caramelized - they tasted like someone waved a raw onion a foot over a flame - there was NO CHEESE in the quesadilla. I literally spit this nastiness out into my napkin. If this had been our first visit, there's a good chance we would not return. This bartender needs to find another occupation where he does not have to interact with the public - say port-o-let sanitizer. The cook needs to be retrained. In fact, the bartender just tossed my straw at me. I was in the mind to not deduct from my original rating until then.

Nice airport layover stop. Was the only bar open at the time. The martini seemed like not much in the wine glass but the cucumber jalapeño Margarita was worth it. The soup was great also.

Great find, in Terminal E!! I had the giant sweet potato- and it was delicious!! I was skeptical of a sweet potato and Mexican fixings...but hey, I will do it again. Service was spot on with Andrew- friendly- great recommendations- good energy. Social distancing was enforced, which was really nice. Local beers on tap...always a crowd pleaser. How do you get a 5th star? Hooks at the bar to hang our stuff on- I dislike setting things on the floor. And how can you be OUT of Shiner- it's Texas ya'll.

One of many restaurants inside Terminal E at DFW. Service was excellent and my waitress was friendly and attentive to my needs. I got the ultimate Fajitas, which was ok. Certainly not the best I've ever had, but it's competent for airport food. The steak and chicken were pretty dry, but the shrimp was good. Price was reasonable and there's ample seating in the restaurant.

I had never been to this restaurant before and had not heard of it before either. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and drinks. Although pricey, like most airport food, it was worth it. The airport location has a sports bar type feel, with several tvs all on various sports channels. I ordered the street tacos-shrimp and my friend ordered a vegetarian bowl. We both ordered margaritas. The food was fresh and tasty. The area was a bit tight, but there are tables so that you can get a restaurant feel while in the airport. Our server was excellent and gave food suggestions based on what we told him we liked. If you like tex-mex, I would recommend Blue Mesa.

So as i was heading back to Vegas on the night of thanksgiving around 9pm i figured i would come to the airport early and not be stuck in lines. well there wasn't any lines! lol and i was there early and had an hour and half to kill.. so i came here cause it was the only few places that was open at the airport. the other options were panda express or wendys.. i need a place to sit and relax and kill time.. this tequila place had a bar and tables with a full menu. I wanted something hot like coffee or teas but it didn't seem to have coffee and with the hot teas there was no honey.... so i opted for a dos x beer instead.. maybe 2 drafts i ordered. Initially the waiter didn't seem interested in serving me since i wasn't initially ordering alcohol..but wanted something hot instead. but later on did give better service once i ordered appetizers, alcohol and a full entree. the beer was tasty with lots of limes like i requested. the queso and chips was tasty. the plate i ordered was chicken enchilladas, beef taco and it also came with rice plus some sort of corn bread crumble? as well as black beans. Overall the food was good. service improved. and i tipped him nicely since it was also thanksgiving day. If i was ever stuck at the dallas airport i would come back again..

    Great margaritas and the guac.

Decent enough airport restaurant. Top shelf margarita was da bomb! As was the Cucumber jalapeno margarita. For sure you want to come here for the margaritas. The two, in particular, are made with fresh lime juice instead of the crappy mixes you might get elsewhere. If I was rating on the margaritas I'd rate this higher. The food, however, was good, just not great. Fresh guac was good, street tacos was good (beef better than the chicken), and chicken enchilada was good. Just good. And the atmosphere isn't too hot. No great views, no window seating, just hanging out in a terminal. My recommendation is to order the margaritas then when you are in a happy place, order whatever interests you. You'll be good.

Located in the Airport at terminal E, I found this place while waiting for my flight at DWF. I was promptly seated and my server came right over to place my order. They have outlets at the tables- big plus in an airport, and I settled right in plugging in endless devices (I came prepared). I loved their corn chowder, however, it was thick and I'm used to a more broth-based version, but by no means was it bad. It was quite filling and I enjoyed about half my cup. My veggie quesadilla with avocado, basil and onions was outstanding as well. Sounds random but dipping the quesadilla in the remaining corn chowder put this meal over the top. Try it, it's delicious despite sounding a bit odd. For an airport restaurant, prices were quite reasonable and I found the food quality to be good. I have another trip planned to Dallas soon and hope to visit again.

    Veggie bowl with steak

Being gluten free and having a issue with black beans, I felt that I was going to have a hard time. My waitress was fantastic. She explained everything. Was very knowledgeable about what was and was not gluten free. And recommended the veggie bowl with steak for added protein. It was a flavor party in my mouth! Everything was perfectly seasoned. With a base of ginger rice. With tons of sautéed veggie. Onion , orange and green peppers, zucchini and sweet potato. Topped with Pico de gallo and avocado. The added steak was perfection. I would get this again!!

If I could find a cheap enough flight, I would fly into DFW every weekend just for the guac & chips here. I didn't order anything besides coffee for myself, but I did have a taste here & there from everyone else's plate. The steak taco was sooo good. Even their ginger rice is so flavorful that I would literally order a plate of it to eat by itself. Our server was very attentive & the food came out rather quickly. I'm just bummed that Blue Mesa is just a "Texas thang" *sigh*...

Assortment of chips and medium&spicy salsa.

Arrived super early for my flight at DFW Terminal E (US Airways). Blue Mesa seems like a nice choice. There is booth seating, TVs over the bar, nice atmosphere. There was no wait for table seating. The server was very nice and friendly. I wanted a classic margarita. I was told it came 'blue'. So I opted for the raspberry Paloma. It sounded refreshing, I gave it a try. It was very sour and seedy. The server asked how it was. I told her I didn't care for it and asked if I'd like to try something different. Wow! So I said I'd try the blue margarita. It was ok. Much better than the Raspberry Paloma Margarita. I also had chips and salsa. Assortment of different types if chips with medium and spicy salsa. The Mesa Sampler was plenty for me. Two pieces of Quesadilla, two pieces of and four pieces if nachos. It was yummy. I was able to hangout till near my flight time without being hassled. Good location, food, and service.

I highly recommend the fajita nachos, which come loaded with toppings. Their drinks are also very strong, so plan accordingly! With all the fun and food, I accidentally left my wallet and did not realize until the next day. The staff held the wallet in their lost and found, made sure to ask verifying questions, and asked me to confirm if all my belongings were still in the wallet before leaving. For this exceptional service, food, and vibes, I highly recommend.

I remember when they were located further down Lemmon Avenue in a much smaller space. They've since moved uptown, and the new digs are beautiful and very inviting. After we were seated, our server, Ruben, greeted us with a warm smile. We were especially excited since we arrived just in time to catch their lunch specials--and there are plenty of great ones to choose from. We started with a couple of frozen margaritas and a cup of queso while browsing the menu. The margaritas were spot-on--not wimpy at all, with just the right kick. And the queso? Absolutely outstanding--some of the best we've had in a long time. The salsa was excellent as well. My wife chose the lunch-sized chicken quesadillas, while I went with the #7 lunch special, which included a cheese taco, a chicken enchilada, and a beef enchilada topped with chili con carne. Our meals arrived after a short wait, and everything exceeded expectations. My wife was thrilled with the portion size--it was just right--and she was all smiles after her first bite. The chicken fajita meat was tender, flavorful, and perfectly marinated. My lunch special hit the spot and delivered exactly what I was craving. We had a fantastic experience at Mia's Tex-Mex. Ruben took excellent care of us throughout our visit, and we'll definitely be back again soon!

The restaurant seemed warm and inviting with all the natural light, but as the meal progressed, there were quite a few misses that degraded the overall experience here. First, they didn't really have much in the way of non-alcoholic drinks except for sodas, which I typically don't drink. I wanted a flavored lemonade or an agua fresca. The waiter said they had lemonade and they could add some mango flavoring, but when I go the drink, it was terrible. It was like a Countrytime or something to that effect. I couldn't taste the mango flavoring. The waiter was kind enough to offer to remake the drink when he realized I didn't like it, but it was the same again, so I gave up. It just tasted so artificial and gross. For my entree, I ordered an enchilada plate with scrambled eggs and potatoes. The first time it came out wrong. It was beef enchiladas and not the cheese that was listed on the menu. Then they brought out my plate again and it was now covered in queso. According to the menu, it was a cheese enchilada with chili con carne, but I didn't want to raise the issue. I was really hungry at this point and just accepted it. The food was okay...2 1/2 or 3 star territory. The restaurant itself was pretty cool. I like the location and the abundance of natural light, but the miscommunications with the kitchen and the generic lemonade drink exposed some real opportunities here.
