Just had the smoothening hair process and hair cut with Kari, and I left the salon feeling beautiful and amazing. Even my husband loved my hair. Kari was meticulous with my haircut, which I greatly appreciated. I actually fell asleep while she was ironing my hair. The salon was cozy and so relaxing, and Kari and Jacque were very friendly. I was observing Jacque's work on another client, and I noted she was very meticulous also. I was wondering how she was going to work with her client's hair, but her client was smiling the whole time, and her hair turned out great! Shows you how much trust she had. I have such a hair-crush on Kari Sakuda! Haha! She does an excellent job w my uncooperative hair and has a real eye for style! She is always friendly and I have a great time getting my hair done! She also knows how to listen to a client and find the best solution that will work for the real-world lifestyle. She expertly color-corrected my badly colored hair that I screwed up myself and had let go awry (check out my before and after picture)! In the past her balayage work on my hair was also beautiful and I got a lot of compliments for her work. I've been seeing Jacque for my eyelash extensions for about 2 years now and I love them. I have the typical short Asian eyelashes that stick straight out even if I curl them and apply tons of mascara. It is a little extra pop, like a great eyebrow, that makes a huge difference. I used to wake up every morning and spend endless amounts of time applying and trying out every type of mascara there is, but now I literally wake up ready to go. I get complemented about my eyelashes all the time. People have to ask me if they are mine or not because they cant tell that they're the extensions. Sometimes people don't even know that I have the extensions until I mention it. Their replies are always along the lines of, "It looks so natural!" or "It just looks like you have super long eyelashes!" It is the most amazing and best investment, I think. Jacque is so awesome too. She is always understanding when I go back with a whole eye missing lashes. If there are a couple old stragglers, shell remove them and redo everything. Her prices are extremely reasonable considering the skill and quality of her work. I look forward to my appointments and cant stop looking at myself in the mirror after Ive gotten my refills. Another girl asked me one time where I got them done and I told her that I see Jacque Rojas. She told me that she just went to get hers done for $30. When I looked at it though, the lashes were super thin and the work was amateurish, to put it nicely. She didn't even get what she paid for. I think I could have probably glued on individual eyelashes from longs on better than that. The point is, it is an investment worth considering, much like any other beauty service such as waxing or even getting your hair done, but Ive never regretted spending the money. I've been going to Jacque for several months now. She does my lashes perfectly every time! I'm so addicted to them I see her every two weeks. I only let one person touch my eyebrows for nearly four years (and had to kiss a lot of frogs to find her!) and so trusting someone else to take care of my eyebrows was really scary. Jacque did an AMAZING job on my brows. They were unruly! She took one look and got to work-- waxed, trimmed and tweezed her way to perfection, if I do say so myself. She also noticed that I have sensitive skin and applied a calming oil to my brows afterward to reduce the redness, which worked like a charm. Yesterday I had an apt with Jacque Rojas and it was great! I came in with how I wanted my hair done for a wedding I was attending that afternoon/ evening and she was able to make it happen! The day before I came in I fell asleep at the beach and got a little red and toasty.. Not a good look in a dress. Jacque air brushed my makeup and my chest area. She helped me where I was RED and burnt to make me look normal and a little bronzed! I was so happy with the end result with my hair and makeup! Ever have that moment when you love something so much and when it lets you down, you are left utterly heartbroken? I have been a loyal client for years....YEARS. Jacque was my go-to girl for waxing. She even did my makeup for a wedding I attended because I'm not into getting all dolled up. She really has a way of making me (and anyone, I'm sure) feel beautiful, so I know she knows her stuff. So I contacted her how I usually do via text (which I think is an excellent perk these days), but for two weeks I didn't receive a response. This got me worried - I mean, the Jacque I know, would not NOT answer me. I told my closest friends that I was worried - maybe something happened to her....I don't know, I was in panic mode and quite frankly, thinking my wedding would not be ok without Jacque. My Matron of Honor, my cousin, who also knows Jacque was puzzled by it all, too. We agreed I should call (because this was so out of character for Jacque), so I did. I first came to Jacque in Feb 2011 while on vacation on Oahu. Recovering from cancer and chemotherapy related hair and eyelash loss, she gave me a "fill" on my last extensions. I've been going to her ever since! She took my chemo damaged hair from literally nothing but damaged fuzz to now below shoulder length. I am soooooo pleased with my lashes, Jacque has changed my life!!! It would take me 45 minutes to do my make-up every morning, and a good part of that 45 minutes was curling and applying mascara to my eyelashes, very stressful. Completely unprofessional and disappointing; I would not recommend Jacque Rojas to anyone who needs a reliable makeup artist. I was initially excited to work with Jacque as my wedding makeup artist after admiring her work in several magazines. She showed up late for two trial appointments and did not bother to phone in a heads-up or apologize (which should have been a sign, however I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt) and then went MIA less than 4 weeks before the wedding. She did not respond to phone calls or emails from myself or my wedding coordinator as we moved closer to the big day to firm up details. I do not understand how someone can run a business or call themselves a professional with this kind of behavior. To this day, I have not heard back from Jacque. Luckily, I was able to find makeup artists who not only appreciate the importance of punctuality, professionalism, and common courtesy, but who also did an even better job in the hair and makeup department. read more
