Great place! I've been to Jade Day Spa a couple of times now and have enjoyed both massages from Jun and Coco. They give great massages with the right pressure and definitely find and relieved every knot or pain I may have had. I feel so renewed when I walk out of there. They run a nice, clean and comfortable atmosphere spa. They are very friendly, yet professional and they definitely put every effort to make sure they give you the massage you went in to get for a great price. I will certainly have them always in my speed dial. Also, I like that they have online booking which makes it easier to choose your days and hours and know the availability of all massage therapist. I really hate to write a bad review, since it's a small business, but I feel compelled to write about my experience from this past weekend. I consider myself a connoisseur of foot massages (I frequent Foot Logic (Dublin) and Zen Wellness (Pleasanton) quite often, and a handful in the South Bay -- and I expect all reflexology foot massages to be the similar. I went with two of my girlfriends this weekend, and from the moment I walked in, I was impressed how clean and quite it was. I was even more impressed that they gave us a private room with sounds of the ocean in a dimly lit room for our foot massages, however it went downhill from there. PRO: Clean and relaxing environment CON: 1) Please, no nails. I didn't like the person using his NAILS on my toes, as if he was trying to scratch something off my toes. It hurt like hell. 2) Leg massage hurt. Why does he have to press down on my leg bone and massage around my knee cap? OUCH. I squirmed and pulled my leg up, until he realized he was hurting me. Not relaxing. I was sweating from the amount of pain I was in. I wish he concentrated on my calf or my ankles, not my leg bone. 3) Like the movies, please turn off your phone. I didn't like the fact that my massage therapist's phone kept vibrating, and he kept stopping to check on his phone and kept leaving to answer the phone. Very annoying. 4) On their website, it mentions the following: "Foot Reflexology is a treatment where the therapist works on "reflex points" on your feet, hands, and head." a) My therapist just rubbed my feet and did not do any pressure points on my feet (which Zen Wellness does very well at). Foot massage yes, Foot Reflexology, um, no. b) Only feet and legs? There was no massage on my hands or head (which Zen and Foot Logic does a great job at doing the entire body) c) When they said "Okay, we're done" - and they left. My girlfriends and I looked at each other and said "that's it? What happened to our hands and head?" I left feeling I was robbed. Even though it was only $30, I felt like it was a waste of money, since I know I can get a better foot massage from Zen Wellness (see Bao, he rocks!) or Foot Logic. My friend said it best when she said "it was like a pedicure massage, without a pedicure." She was so disappointed, that she booked another foot massage at Foot Logic right after!! My recommendation to Jade is to visit and try Foot Logic or Zen Wellness on their own and see what their foot massages are all about. Doesn't compare! Also, if they are only doing feet and legs, please fix your website!! read more

Love this place! The lady who gave me a deep tissue massage was awesome! Most places I go to can't ever massage as firm as I would like, but she was able to put a lot of pressure into my problem areas. Will definitely be returning especially since the prices are so reasonable! read more

Rinky dink would be giving them credit. The guy who runs this place is horrible. I have made two appointments and each time he has incorrectly told me the appointment time and I had to wait 1/2 hr. I just had a deep tissue massage with Mia and I wanted to leave a positive review because Mia did such a great job. I am the Chiropractor that works next door to Jade, and due to being very busy taking care of other people, I have not been good about taking care of myself! I will now make it a priority to see Mia - she was able to go deep and work out a lot of the tension/knots in my shoulder blades/neck, and then finished the session with hot towels to wipe off the excess oil. Went there for a 90 min massage several of months ago I was there first and had a wonderful massage and experience. I was there again two wks later for a 1 hour massage and had Mia she was rushed and cut me short by 10 minutes. When I called her on it said "no problem" I'll massage for another 10 minutes. I thought that was awkward. I went back another day asking for the first person who did my massage which i think was nancy who did a great job the first time around. However, because I was there around 6:30 in the evening her massage was limp and she seemed tired and wasn't strong enough for a deep tissue massage i left unhappy and unsatisfied. So I would recommend that you get your message in the morning because by the evening time they are tired. I don't think I want to try this place again, sorry :( read more

I've gone to Mia 3 or 4 times now. She's my new regular massage therapist! I do hair for a living so she has her work cut out for her with my neck and shoulders and back. She's great! She gives me a great 90 min deep tissue and digs in deep. She's really helped me to loosen up my boulders! She communicates well and will work on your trouble spots. She's sweet and professional and I always feel comfortable and relaxed. It's an asian style no frills type massage. For those that need regular work on their muscles, Mia is your gal!! Was very disappointed with the cleanness of the spa . Sheets felt greasy, no pad under them,room was too dark and massage was not comfortable. Therapist smelled like cigarettes when he came in the room. Yes the price is good but you get what you pay for. Rather go to a place where I pay a bit more and know that the place is clean and therapists are professional. read more

They offer great service for a very reasonable price. Some therapists are better than others, but then I prefer a very deep hard massage and some therapists are stronger than others. Good concept -- nothing too fancy, just a very reasonably priced spa. read more

Got the one hour foot massage. They actually have you soak your feet for 15 min and massage for 45. The 45 min were great though. Would rather they advertise it as a 45 min foot even if the price was the same so you don't feel shortchanged that you are paying to soak your feet. read more

I was given a gift certificate to Jade Day spa. I went in excited to get a massage because I haven't had one in years. I ended up getting 90 minute massage hot stone deep tissue and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I'm at hairdresser by trade and have had a lot of massages in my time and I would say that this is one of the best places well worth every penny, they're very reasonable and very professional. Not sure where these raving reviews are coming from. I've tried this place 3 times now and definitely will not be returning. My first massage was with Jason. It was mediocre but since the price was so low, I decided to go back. My second massage wasn't too bad. Her name was Fanny. I did have to give her a lot of direction which is tough since no one there speaks English. But in the end, it was ok. This last massage, (and I won't mention the name) was by far the worst massage I've ever had. She was not only rude but completely inexperienced. She dumped what felt like an entire gallon of oil on my back and then just basically used her elbow at full speed and destroyed my back. She refused to take any directions including being more gentle. She put so much pressure on all the wrong places like over my bones and of course no clue where to apply pressure like on all sore muscles. I left in pain and the next day was even worse. Not going to return and I seriously hope they consider training their staff and operating legally. I doubt anyone is licensed. Don't waste your money. They are cheap and you get super crappy massage. Try all the other places in town. read more

Just tried Jade for the first time after being referred many many times and it was great! I arrived a couple minutes before my appointment time and had literally no wait time! My massage therapist was Nancy and she was very nice and worked out all my knots nicely. The online booking system was very easy to navigate and of course nothing beats the amazing prices. I've come here on multiple occasions throughout the past two years and I have enjoyed every massage I've gotten. There are some masseuses who are better than others, but I never seem to get their names so I'm not really sure who is my favorite. I would suggest that they introduce themselves in the beginning just so I know to book them if I like them in the future. My favorite is the Jade hot stone massage because it feels very healing on a deeper level than just a regular massage. Their prices are awesome because I feel like it's easier for me to find that kind of money to splurge on myself last minute when I need it. Every person I've encountered has been nice. I haven't felt like I was getting anything less than their best every time. The location has a lot of rooms, and if there are a lot of clients than it can be slightly noisy because the walls are not super thick. The music I've encountered during my massage has been soft spa like nature sounds or whimsical music. I am really glad that I found this place and I will continue to go back. read more

I've been to over 100 masseuses in my life and Jun is bar by the best. If you have chronic pain or tension there really is no one better. It is a deep tissue massage, make no mistake. But he will heal you and knows the right spots to work on. If you prepare less intensity any of the other individuals there are fantastic. It's not a fancy spot, but their work is amazing. read more

First time there, I live in Castro Valley, worth the trip over there. Mia really took care of me. She knew where all the sore and achy muscles were on my back, shoulder and neck. First time to Jade Day Spa. I had a 60 min massage with Mia. Medium pressure. She was great! Her medium exceeds most other therapists deep tissue. She asked multiple times if the pressure was too deep and found areas that needed attention. She is a machine. Works quickly and pin points all the right areas. She gave a "blue collar" massage. Just had an hour and a half deep tissue massage with Lisa! I left a note when I made my online appointment about not wanting my arms touched and they asked me about it before my session to make sure which parts to avoid. I originally scheduled an hour but added another half hour because I couldn't get enough. :) She's very strong, listens to requests (harder/softer) and seems like a very kind person. I work in grocery retail and have been slammed at work. It's always crazy this time of year. Everything hurt. My aunt had tried here before and liked it. When I told her I was going to schedule myself an appointment she had me schedule one for her and my uncle as well. They were able to get all three of us in during the same hour. We got here a little early and they were able to take me back right away. They took my aunt and uncle back a few minutes later. (The thin walls and fact that you can hear EVERYTHING in the place is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5). Jun worked on me. Perhaps they do read these, I did not smell any hint of cigarettes as mentioned in other reviews and he said to let him know if the pressure was too much. I like a lot of pressure, so his deep tissue techniques were perfect for me. I also really liked that they have heated tables. I hate being cold. I feel much better now. Can't wait to come back. Awesome service, unbeatable prices. Doesn't get better than that. Both Coco and Jun are great. I like DEEP tissue, and both use optimal pressure. Jun really knows science behind massages & the body. You should def try this place out if you want a quality massage for a cheap price. It's not your super posh, typical day spa, but you get the same - if not better - massage for less than half the price. You can actually afford to go 1x per week, or every other week, and actually heal and fix your issues! Totally worth it. I also love that you can book appts online via their website! I had the most heavenly massage by Joanna. She new exactly what tendons were making my shoulders tense. I've also had knee surgery and the muscles and tendons that are surrounding that knee are still tender and she took a hot towel and massaged my knee. It was AMAZING!! She was also very concerned and attentive to how her pressure was and how I liked it and wanted it! Not many massage therapist I've been too have been so attentive to my needs. I'm always on the lookout for a reasonably priced, relaxing massage and today I hit the jackpot! Jade is right in my neighborhood and for $40, you get a full 60 minute massage. What an amazing deal and one of the best massages I've had in a long time! The place is clean, not fancy, and not really a "day spa" so much but I plan on going back on a regular basis. Came here three years ago for awhile after back surgery and saw several girls, all good. Returned recently after spraining my back working out and saw Coco who I remember from before. All of the girls give a good massage but some have limited English and don't talk much. OTOH Coco is fun to talk to. She also listened to what I wanted and worked on those areas in my back more.
