Be aware bathrooms were not clean when I was there. Very rude people at the door. Terrible experience left after 30 minutes

This is a super cute restaurant in downtown Lakeland. It feels like you are at your friend's house…read morehaving dinner. The staff is very attentive and well trained in the menu. Our server described the dishes perfectly. I tried the Beef Wellington and loved it. I was not crazy about the mashed potatoes I felt like they lacked flavor but the Beef Wellington was the star. We also had the Cherry Roasted Duck. Again cooked perfectly I just wish it was a larger portion. This is on the pricey side so be ready to splurge a little.

The menu is french inspired but portions are over the top even by american standards. The cordon blue must have used two chicken breasts as it was easily 10" long and at least 3" across. Honestly, it's enough for dinner, lunch, and dinner again the next day and that's coming from a guy. The cooking was well prepared, chicken and fish were cooked to the correct doneness, but there's a few places for improvement. Too many things were overly salty and the chef seems to favor garlic to the point that it impairs the flavors of the rest of the food. I would never have described the brussel sprouts as "pan fried", they were boiled and then hit a pan for like 30 seconds. One of the heavily salted items, between the texture and the salt, they were nearly inedible. One quick side rant - do restaurants not understand that we all have cell phones and can google the retail price of a bottle of wine? I'm not paying $10/glass for a wine that is $11/bottle (and probably not buying $11 wine anyway). Cut your prices in half and you'll actually sell so much more that you'll make up the profit in volume. Win-win. For a french menu, I didn't see a single french wine on the list. Hmmm Desserts sounded great, the only one we had was the creme brulee. The custard was perfect with a strong vanilla flavor and you could see the beans in it. The caramelized sugar was too thick. You should be able to crack it by tapping it with your spoon, not have to stab it to force it to break. Anything more than 1 mm is too thick. Getting all frenchie and metric on you. Still, a respectable place. I'd like to see a wider variety of herbs and spices used and tone down the the salt and garlic. This place has michelin potential, but is held back by Food Prep 101 mistakes.

On the menu everything looks amazing, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. There were four…read moreof us, and anyone who ordered a hot dish was served something either lukewarm or cold. Appetizer of fried green tomatoes was marred by slices of tomato that were so thick that the knives on the table were incapable of cutting them. This same issue carried over to the green tomato blt, which was almost impossible to eat bc of bread that was also too thick. The bacon was so overcooked as to be dry sticks that shattered into tiny bits when you tried to eat the sandwich. The fries were allegedly hand cut, but looked & tasted like (cold) seasoned frozen steak fries. The FSKB chicken salad croissant was just a soggy mess. And the eggs Benedict featured "Canadian Bacon", which is a US marketing term for round slices of bacon, not Back Bacon or Peameal Bacon that is actually served in Canada. Overpriced & not worth a second try.

Believed to be a "Scratch Kitchen", this amazing find has a menu that I find myself excited about returning to try. We ordered a drink and an order of the Frescos Egg Rolls. The drink was spot on and the Egg Rolls amazing. We opted not to order a main course due to eating just a couple hours prior but I knew right then and there that I'd be back to try other selections from the menu. Pricing seems to be below average with "happy hour" pricing at specified times daily. Highly Recommended!

The restaurant is small and designed with beautiful architecture to match the hotel. We really enjoyed the Pistachio Espresso Martini's (not creamy if that's your vibe like me!). The grouper sandwich was delicious and I loved the slaw. My boyfriend really loved the burger as well. Our server was so sweet, but service was a bit slow. We went on a Sunday and they only serve the brunch menu since they close at 2 PM on Sundays. The restaurant wasn't overly busy when we got there, so it was disappointing to have slower service without really seeing how/why. Overall food was delicious and we would definitely be back to try a few of the dinner options next time.
