This is one of our favorite local restaurants and we feel really lucky to have it nearby. The ambiance is peaceful and the staff is both efficient and friendly. Take-out is lightening-fast and very accurate, whether you order on the phone or online. Sit-down service is quick without being "hurry up and eat and leave already". We strongly recommend the special house wonton (for two) - delicately flavored and so much better than anyone else's standard wonton - with lots of perfectly-cooked shrimp, scallops and chicken. I don't really like Chinese entrees (at any restaurant) so I don't order them and can't comment except to say that the Singapore noodles is good, but needs more seafood (as opposed to chicken and pork). My dining partner is always happy with what he orders (General Tso, Pepper Beef) and it's cooked just right - not overdone. The sashimi is usually very good, as are the rolls. They have a small sushi bar, with a dedicated sushi chef but I've never seen anyone eating there - it looks like he mostly makes orders for the tables of for take-out, which is a shame, because he's good at what he does. read more

I would not leave a bad review especially considering how the pandemic impacted business but I feel the need to warn future potential customers of very bad business. I ordered food to be delivered today (Christmas) at 5:30. I expected they would be busy so was very patient. I started calling the restaurant looking for my delivery at 7:15 only to get the Verizon message. At 8:00, a very rude woman answered the phone and when I asked where my order was, she told me they were too busy to make it, deliver it and get this... she was too busy to call me and let me know my food for my family would not be delivered. Two and a half hours went by and they had not even started the order. They do not prepare well and don't care about repeat customers. Do not give them your money! read more

We've ordered twice from Jade Garden within the last week. We rolled the dice and came up winners! Jade has very efficient phone order-taking. They are courteous and prompt. Their delivery service is wicked fast...even though we live just up the road about three miles. The menu offers traditional Chinese faire. Pretty much like Mexican restaurants. And, just like Mexican, you expect a level of comfort. Jade delivers in spades. The appetizers rock. For the entrees, we tried garlic pork, shrimp in black bean sauce, and kung pao chicken. All were hot and flavorful. The kung pao chicken really deserves props as for the first time ever, it was seasoned as requested. Nice and spicy. Kudos to Jade Garden! read more

This restaurant replaced a chinese place that closed that I've been going to for years, and this place I must say is much better than the old. (no wonder they closed?) For a restaurant that serves both chinese & japanese food, this is THE BEST I've had yet! Usually in places like these, the food is tasteless & the fish is a bit foul, but not here. I had stuff on the Japanese menu & my mom ate chinese. I took a bit of General Tso's chicken from her plate and it was not a tough call to call it the best General Tso's I've ever eatten. The sauce was the right consistancy (not too thick or runny) and the flavor was a perfict mix of sweet & spicy. What was cute was that they garnished her plate with a carrot cut into a flower (that was one big-ass carrot too..) My sushi was...sushi. Honestly, can you really be blown away by the same taste of raw fish unless it was seasoned well or not fresh at all? The presentation of the sushi however was cute. I had a mix of 3 rolls. Overall, the place itself is very clean from the carpet and windows to the staff themselves. They were very curtious and prompt as well. Didn't take long at all to be seated, or order, or wait for our food and water refills. The price of the food - I forgot. I assum it's round about what's normal for chinese & japanese food - meaning the sushi is rather expensive but that's expected. So..moderately priced I'd say. This used to be my favorite place for take out. So sad but they changed owners and customer service has gone way down. I finally stopped ordering from here. The food didn't change much but the rude remarks and insults finally were too much. East Cuisine is somewhat further but most of the residents in my building are starting to go there because the delivery man from Jade Garden just leaves your food sitting anywhere downstairs until it gets cold while you're searching for it. Also when they delivered the wrong order they practically accused me of making it up and wanted a picture of the wrong entree they delivered (and I sent it) but then wanted me to drive there to pick up what they delivered incorrectly. The people in my building will never let me live it down if I dare to order from there again! The " replacement " was missing 1/2 the amount of shrimp they usually put on it. I wonder what that was about? Anyway, the people here witnessed the entire ordeal so we are all going to a new Chinese restaurant now. I recently attempted to eat there with my 2 year old & 4 year old. The waitress was overly rude & angry at the thought of seating us. She finally did & then refused to return to the table, to take our order. People who came in significantly later than us, were served. Just ordered a few takeout items and what we ordered was disappointing. The sushi only comes in 6 pieces and it had minimal flavor. Not good. Used to be decent Chinese food. Now "Chicken" dishes have little or no decipherable chicken in them. Maybe a way to keep costs low but I would pay a few dollars more (and come back) to eat actual chicken. General Tso's and Orange chicken were 80% fried batter and 20% (maybe?) chicken. Avoid this place at all costs. Ordered General Tso's chicken and when I got home and took a bite, I had to spit it out because it was uncooked on the inside (see picture). I was craving Chinese food at work tonight. Not sure where to go, I looked on Yelp and depended on my fellow Yelper's. This is how I came across Jade Garden. I ordered a small order of BBQ ribs, and beef and broccoli combo with miso soup. I ordered a lot in hops to eat half tonight and the rest tomorrow night. Started with the Ribs. I took one bite and it was pink and chewy. It was easy to see and taste it was way undercooked. I then moved on to the "beef" with broccoli. It was more like meat at broccoli. I'm not entirely sure what kind of meat it was but I am fairly certain it was not "beef". The taste was something I can't even explain. I just prayed I didn't just eat horse or cat. After Spitting out whatever meat it was I figured I'd just eat the egg roll. I mean, how can one really mess an egg roll up? Well, this place found a way. The outside wasn't crispy and the inside was bland. Zero taste. Everything went right into the trash. Including the $18 I spent on it. I will NEVER order from her again. read more

This is my go-to, local Chinese restaurant. I love the food here, and the people on the staff are so hospitable. I always get the wonton soup, have had their spring rolls and egg rolls (devine!), and normally get either Chicken Chow Mein, Vegetable Lo Mein, Chicken with Broccoli, or Moo Goo Gai Pan, all sooo delicious and made the same way each time, every time. The Chinese food here is mediocre. The first strike is serving 2 cuisines--would you eat at a Spanish/French restaurant just because the 2 countries are located next to each other? No, of course not. If I need something quick and simple, like a soup to go, this is convenient to my house. But for truly good Chinese food, this is not the place. So I ordered from them today after not ordering in a while. I ordered general tso's chicken with NO rice, and a order of vegetable lo mein. I spent $13 after tax and delivery. When the driver walked up to my desk at work I knew it wasn't any good because of the smell. I still paid for it. As soon as I opened it I see rice. I looked past that tasted it and all I could taste was salt. No sweetness on the general tso's at all! the pieces of chicken were big and stuck together and the lo mein had basically NO VEGGIES. Running around on Christmas day in a new town looking for an open restaurant. We dropped in here because...well, it was open and we were hungry. The staff were very pleasant and escorted us to a booth quickly. We hadn't been seating long before our glasses were filled with water and hot tea was set on the table. After the appropriate amount of time to look at the menu, our waiter dropped by and took our order. We each tried an order of the pork fried dumplings, I had the crispy orange chicken and my fiancee had the cashew chicken. Everything tasted very good and the service was awesome. read more

The food from Jade Garden is good quality, but generic American Chinese. It is located in a ugly strip mall. The decor inside is certainly above average for an inexpensive Chinese restaurant. It's nothing like the linoleum floor and greasy window type of place. It seems busy enough that to alleviate fears of getting week-old food. read more

I would not recommend this place if you're looking for typical Chinese take out. I was so disappointed with our food. I ordered chicken with broccoli and my wife had the triple sizzling delight and it was pretty much the same thing except my wife had some pieces of beef and shrimp. The sauce was the same for both - bland and not much flavor. It didn't look like your typical chicken broccoli sauce or taste like it. My son got the egg drop soup and it was neon yellow. I don't know how eggs can get that yellow but it didn't look right. My other son got he wonton soup and this was fine. In all, I do not plan on ordering from here again. I work at an office building answering phones, I ordered my food and asked that the delivery driver wait a few minutes just in case I am on the phone with a customer. When the delivery driver arrived he had not even waited for 5 minutes before he left and I had gotten downstairs in the lobby where he was waiting literally 5 minutes after he left. I called them back and the lady who answered was very rude and hung up on me after telling me I would not be getting my food! I order from here often and I even told my fellow coworkers about the place, as they didn't even know it was a Chinese restaurant close by. The food is good here. Have gotten take out and have ate in a few times. A bit pricey, but overall a decent place for Chinese food.

1. The food - especially the specials - tastes great. 2. The service is fast and courteous. 3. They are great with my kids which makes ME happy. I would rather take my kids out for a $6 lunch at Jade Garden than fast food. 4. I've never had a bad meal in the ? years since I've been going there. Since they remodeled... maybe a decade ago?
