This is a mediocre Chinese buffet. I gave it two tries once for lunch and once for dinner. For both of my visits the service was non-existent and after being seated I never saw any staff again. So good luck getting a drink refill or any other kind of service! On both visits I ordered an unsweet tea but was served a sweet tea and then never saw any staff to fix that. The other Chinese buffets in the area are just better as they actually refill your drink or fix a wrong drink. So I am two and done with this place as I really was hoping that things would improve and unfortunately they are all too consistently bad in the service department and the food at the other Chinese buffets is also better than what you get here. Nina is a leader when it comes to workplace bullying. She belittles employees in hopes of making them quit. The owner has done nothing to help and lets it continue to happen. With the best selection of Chinese food on the island. Jade Gardens bound to satisfy offering their own Asian inspired flavour to each dish. In addition to the buffet, be sure to try out their varieties of handmade sushi. Friendly service delivered in a clean, spacious atmosphere makes every visit special, making them an island favourite amongst buffets in the area.   Prices are $7.50 lunch & $9.95 Dinner. For copious amounts of food, this is quite a steal & I take full advantage of it sampling all of my classic favourites like General Tso's chicken egg drop soup & black pepper beef with fried rice in abundance. Their service is ok, but I wouldn't rank it terribly high as the server took a bit of time getting us our drinks when we needed them refilled, but she was friendly, so I'll overlook that. The interior & themed decor is fairly appealing, giving to the Asian theme. I always enjoy the fountains at the entrance & Jade Garden is no exception.      General Tso's is very savoury & flavorful compared to what I've had in the past, but a few pieces weren't as juicy as I hoped. The white rice tended to be a bit on the dry side (like most places), so I tended to go with a bit more flavour & did the fried rice & I was quite satisfied. Their sushi station can be a hit or miss as a few of the rolls might not have been packed tight enough & fall apart. For the price & endless copious amounts of food, I'm looking forward to this gorge fest on a major scale. I mentioned earlier that my server was friendly yet rude on this recent visit. Still, I'll give them another chance when I visit again as this place is memorable to me for the many meals I enjoyed here with family. post-Sally Covid update June 2021. For my full review please read previous, so the only damage I'm aware of was their sign and lettering on the exterior. It was unfortunate that it took over a year and half to get their signage back up but it's finally there. The restaurant is in a very congested area and set back off the road across from Tanger outlet and you could easily blow right past it. I'm happy to report that they appear to be fully staffed and the food remains as it was before the double whammy interrupt if Sally & Covid. Bottom line: It's the best buffet around and I continue to consider it a treat to stop in whenever cooking is off the table. (see what I did there :-) read more

Nice little chinese restaurant the food wasn't amazing but it wasn't terrible either. The vegetables were very fresh but the rolls lacked flavor. The egg drop soup was crunchy at the bottom of the bowl and the chicken was fatty. The server reached over me several times which made me uncomfortable. Ordered delivery three times in as many months, normally happy with the orders. For some reason they replaced Lo Mein noodles with spaghetti noodles. Different flavor. Pork fried rice was surprisingly dry. The Orange Beef and Hot and Sour Soup were on point. Wife says not buying from them again. It's unfortunate why they had the hiccup. This restaurant is good but not the best. It's your typical chinese buffet with 3 rows of food, one with salad, fruits and sweets. The next one has fried food and veggies nothing out of the ordinary except for the corn nuggets I found. I didn't see the third row but it was probably crab and dumplings. The service was good we got sat almost immediately but where they sat us next to a dark area where there was a tv playing fox news. I saw trump on the tv and then something about the titanic. when the lady asked us for our drinks she forgot we ordered a sweet tea but it's fine since she realized her mistake and asked what we got again. when we got done she took our plates and she was nice. Despite growing up in Foley, I didn't visit this spot much. I was craving Chinese recently so my boyfriend and I popped in, partially curious how they were operating due to Covid-19. They did only let you fill one to-go box, and they did have to fill it for you. But they try to make sure you get your moneys worth! Very nice and tried to throw in as much as they could! My wife and I are not the biggest Chinese food eaters, but we decided to change up some flavors before Thanksgiving and we got two buffet plates to go. We were greatly surprised how good the meals were. My wife said it was her favorite she had ever had and it appeared there was no MSG. I loaded up on proteins and the flavors were really good. Food: Overall the food was fine, nothing super awesome but also tasted like every other Chinese buffet I've been to pretty much. I will say that the crab & cheese was good, the place I usually go to it comes REALLY greasy and this one was not. Meatballs were something I hadn't seen. It seemed pretty clean, but it was lunch time so they hadn't really gotten busy enough for people to make messes. Price: Cheapest buffet I've seen in a long time! So their selection is a little more limited and I feel that is reflected in the price, so I was overall pretty happy about that. Service: The girl who waited my table was nice and she asked to refill my Coke a few times, so that was very nice of her. No complaints about the service. Overall: I think 3.5 stars is pretty spot on. The biggest draw was the price, less than 10$ with a drink! But food was a little lacking in a few areas.
