The shrimp isn't properly cleaned.

The shrimp in my fried rice wasn't properly cleaned. Disgusting! About half the shrimp were not clean.

Great food but they still have a Christmas tree up.

Why is there a Christmas tree still up on Valentines day? This place has great food but this is very weird.

My orange chicken tasted like soap with sauce on it. Totally gross. Not to mention my freezer burned smoothie. Never going back.

If youre from Chicago, you know this is a good sign. The server came ans took our order right away, they didnt talk much but again, that doesn't matter when the food is good. We ordered the Crab Rangoons, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Beef and Broccoli and Egg Foo Young. The Ragoons came out hot ans fresh, the Sweet ans Sour Chicken was cooked perfectly and the fried rice with it was also delicious. The Beef and Broccoli was a little too sweet but still good and the Egg Foo Young was also cooked pretty good, a little burnt but still good. And the side off Egg rolls and egg drop soups were so simple and yet so delicious. Would definitely come back!

However, the person who answered convinced me the Singapore noodles would taste even better than it used to. Not only did it taste better, but there were more ingredients. The dining room is tidy and looks more dine in friendly than it did about a year ago. If I were getting off the train or looking for a dine in place to have a bite before hopping on, you can definitely add this one and Connie's to your list. There's also a bar on either side if you need a nightcap.

Staff was friendly and not hovering, which I liked. They let me enjoy my food and only checked in when I needed something. I ordered the Beef lo mein. And yeah, beef lo mein is one of those dishes that usually tastes the same everywhere. The beef has that familiar Chinese beef flavor that i'm used to, tender, juicy, a little smoky, and piping hot. No toughness, no weird chew. Seasoning was on point. Portions overall were solid. The only thing I always forget until I'm halfway through is there's just not enough beef. I keep wishing for a few more pieces. Glad I found this place. It's right on my way home, which is super convenient. I'll definitely be back.

My bestie has been here a few times, so I went with the Ramen should recommended I should get. Forbidden Noodles definitely exceeded the expectations I didn't have. Food: I ordered a pork tonkotsu with miso instead of the tonkotsu ($14.99). Since I was treating myself that day, I also decided to try their cream cheese rangoon with their spicy mayo ($3.99 for 3 pieces) and it was absolutely delicious! Honestly a great combo! Atmosphere: I loved the atmosphere. I went on a really hot day, so it felt nice walking into the cold. The place had low lighting which gave it a warm and cozy aesthetic. Perfect place for a date or catch up lunch/dinner. Customer Service: I thought the customer service was great. The cashier that took my order was really nice. She even brought out cups of water for me & my bestie even though neither of us asked for any. Parking: There's a parking lot, parking garage, & street parking which is all FREE. Street parking is hit or miss, so I totally recommend parking at the parking lot or parking garage. Overall Experience: Overall, I had a good experience at Forbidden Noodles. I would highly recommend this place if you're craving some Ramen but want to skip the trip going to Chinatown (although Chinatown does have a good chunk of Ramen spots). You can even watch a movie before or after grubbing at Forbidden Noodles at the nearby Classic Cinemas La Grange Theatre. I hope this review helps Forbidden Noodles & its current and future customers. Have an amazing day!
