Have been wanting to try this place for a while, was finally able to go for Sunday dinner. It's nicely decorated and spacious, we had no wait for a table. Service was great and attentive. We had the curry puffs, pineapple fried rice with tofu, and tamarind stir fry with chicken and sticky rice. We liked the appetizer but the entrees are where things went downhill. The pineapple fried rice had a few slabs of tofu on top and not mixed in while the tamarind sauce on the stir fry was sickeningly sweet, to the point where it became inedible about halfway through. From the moment you walk in the esthetics of the restaurant makes you feel like your in Asia. Very fast customer service. We came for the lunch special and was pleasantly surprised at the portions. We came to this place since it was close by and my mom wanted Thai... what a great find! The service is so friendly, attentive and fast. That's evident from the moment you enter. Also noticeable is the beautiful decor... perfect backdrop for photos at any table. Most importantly the food is delicious. I ordered Thai iced tea which is my favorite drink and it was just perfect. Great atmosphere! We made a reservation for 3 but they let us to sit in the nicest couch sheet by the wall ;) So comfortable and I loved it hanging there. Ordered 3 dishes and the potions were satisfying! Thai chicken wings was great. We got Papaya salad and Pad se wee but I should have asked if they have Thai seasoning for the table. Excellent new Thai restaurant where Thai Farm Kitchen used to be. Beautiful ambience, attention to detail, friendly staff. The vegetarian entree options are pad Thai tofu or curries. There are also appetizers (eg dumplings) and soups. Unfortunately the house sauce has oyster sauce mixed in, so the other rice and noodle dishes are not vegetarian (also fish sauce in some of those). Abysmal Thai restaurant that is not worthy of its great city. Flaccid mango salad, and skimpy too, nestled on a huge lettuce piece that takes up the whole plate. Tamarind duck is oversweet, as if done with a sauce that you'd find in a Ralphs, and the drunken noodles were overcooked and tasted like salt and soy sauce. Expensive too. read more

If 6 stars were an option, Jaew Thai would get it. Thai food is in my top 3 cuisine favorites, and my standards are pretty dang high, considering I was once very spoiled by living with a very close friend's family (from Chanthaburi) whose mother's Thai cooking was next level. And I can honestly say, in my 40 years on this Earth, no Thai food I've ever had - and I've had a LOT (whether in NYC or California) has ever come close... until today. The mushroom tom kha was simply perfect. No notes. The flavor profile of the massaman curry was TOP NOTCH. There was an entire anise pod in my curry - which speaks VOLUMES about this establishment going the extra mile to offer up a truly unforgettable meal. And I typically find thai iced tea ok, even good, but never this great. I wanted to take photos but I completely forgot that I planned to write a review the second I took one smell of the curry, and 40 mins later, every drop of food is gone, as I lay in bed completely food drunk, on one of the very best meals I've had in a very, very long time. Only complaint is that they are very overpriced. $27 for khao soi & beef noodle soup is really not the right price. Prob won't be ordering from them again bc of the crazy prices. My husband and I went yesterday for their soft opening and were super excited that a new Thai restaurant opened where Thai Farm Kitchen used to be. The decor is very lovely, lots of green decor and warm lighting. The staff was very welcoming and nice. The food was very delicious as well, I'm not sure if it's the same chef as we didn't get to ask but the food quality is as great as Thai Farm Kitchen's. The menu is also pretty much the same, would love to see new items on the menu soon! That being said, their pad thai is consistently delicious! Our Thai iced teas came with cute bear ice cubes and for their soft opening they had complimentary dessert, we chose the mango mousse which was light and sweet. New Thai restaurant opened in Brooklyn Thai Farm Kitchen closed, and Jaew Thai Cuisine opened up on the same location this week in Kensington, Brooklyn, NYC. They did some minor renovations lending towards larger groups, brighter colors, and more of an open space. 10% off during their soft open. Had the chicken pad Thai, chicken green curry, and duck spring rolls. We enjoyed the food, but didn't love it. Felt like it was tailored towards non Thai eaters and a bit bland for our spiced up tastes. Staff was very friendly and spot on. Our glasses were never empty. They gave us a complimentary dessert. They've got a digital wait list when you walk in and a loyalty program. The credit card fee is 4%. 2 blocks from the subway and in front of a bus stop. In wanting a different Thai restaurant, I came upon Jaew Thai, and noticed many reviews kept mentioning the chicken wings. So I ordered the Thai Wings and also Pad Thai.  The Pad Thai wasn't any better than any of the other local Thai places, maybe a tad below. But the Thai Wings so loved in other reviews, here were a NUCLEAR DISAPPOINTMENT.  Skinny, barely any meat or crispness or any real seasoning. AWFUL. This is the best Thai food restaurant. All their foods are yummy. They make a delicious special sauces of each dishes. Very special and tasty. Great Thai stop in Kensington. I was looking for a place with a bit of ambiance while not sacrificing quality and this place fit the bill. Portion sizes were generous, the food very tasty and prices reasonable. I was a little reluctant at first because I was expecting the prior restaurant that occupied the space, but they were every bit as good. The chicken wings were delicious even if they were butchered differently leading them to a somewhat odd appearance. The cut makes sense though, as it leads to a better cooked wing even if the individual pieces aren't as big. I'll definitely be back in the future. read more

First and foremost you are greeted by two of the cutest servers. (Misu) like Tiramisu. Just adorable. We mentioned my family were fans of the old establishment. Misu explained the transition to this place. Which she didn't have too, but was nice nonetheless. For starters we ordered the calamari, chicken and shrimp dumplings (twice), thai fried rice, Phad See Ew, chicken drunken noodles. Can't possibly have a Thai meal without the cutest Thai ice tea. Other reviewers posted pics, but please go see it in person. Simply adorable. Although, we asked for extra spice for our entrees. They happily obliged with no question for more spice for our dishes. Oh.. lastly we ordered the Thai chicken wings. They were small, and I was concerned. Normally two bones are in a flat. A bit weird to see only one bone. We couldn't wrap our heads around it. Maybe they were going for boneless? ‍ My calamari crown still goes to Joya. (Look it up) the table thought they did a nice job. The dumplings were pretty much the star of the show. Happy a new place opened after Thai farm kitchen closed. Got take out during their grand opening night and it did not disappoint. The staff is super friendly and the decor inside is really nice and bright. I had drunken noodle with chicken and it was delicious!
