When we go here we try to go with friends so we can try alot of dishes bc the portions are pretty generous. We also really like the chill bar vibe and the food usually comes out very fast. Found parking in the lot right in front. was seated quickly by the nice staff. the place was dimly lit and full of patrons drinking and enjoying the food. we tried a variety of food from their menu. my personal fave was the rabokki, which is a mix of ddeokbokki and ramen with cheese on top. so the usual savory slightly spicy mix with the tube shaped chewy rice some chewy rame to soak up more of the sauce and savory cheese. the pancakes were also pretty mean... crispy outside and chewy savory inside with da green onion mmm. read more

First things first, parking was easy and lots open on a Saturday night. The outside of the bar is lit up with alternating LED lights and it's super appealing to the eyes. There was sign in for the waitlist. They text you when your table is ready and the wait was very short. Upon walking in, there a booths and tables and enough spacing. Music was such a vibe, all K-pop of course. The walls are covered in stickers. Empty bottles of soju lined up against the walls. There are LED lights scattered also and saw a cat one which was cute. The tables are cool, you can graffiti on them and sharpies are provided. You see faded layers of people's graffiti. Firs dish, Cheese Corn. Sizzling and hot delivered to your table. Creamy and buttery. Great stringy cheese pull. Sea Food Jun, savory and subtle with the ocean flavors but yummy. Pork sundubu was piping hot. Yummy and spicy. Comes with bowl of that purple rice. Meat Jun was light crispy and soft on the inside. my favorite although they did forget about our dish as we had to ask for it and it came out fast after asking. Service was alright. I can tell the staff was busy which is fine. Thankfully they leave a container thing of ice cold water. If you need service there is a ring bell on your table. When asking for check and to go boxes, the staff quickly gets that without thought but it gets done. I give this place 4 stars for amazing food. Pricing seems to be standard as a dinner for two with take home and tipping included came out to $120. If service was more attentive and personable this place easily 5 stars with return visits. We had their robokki, ribeye jeon, and got the upgrade for that not to mention a great recommendation by our server to try the Cass beer from Korea and I must say that beer was not only very tasty but quiet smooth as well. All in all it was a good experience. This place also lets you mark your territory here where ever you wish in the restaurant. Very cool atmosphere. I dined in with 2 friends after a sunset hike so we ordered quite a bit. We got the Kimchi Pancake, Mandu, Rabokki, and LA Kalbi. My favorite was the Kimchi Pancake! Slightly crispy outside with a soft, warm inside. The sauce with the pancake was the perfect combo adding some acidity to cut the oiliness. The Rabokki was delicious and very filling. We added cheese on top which I definitely recommend. The Mandu was crispy, but the filling was pretty standard. The LA Kalbi was on the chewy side, so I would order a different meat next time. Service was excellent! I didn't catch his name, but our server was super nice. He was quick and very attentive! There's ample parking and restrooms inside which were nice and clean. What a disappointment. We come here couple times a month. We havnt been in for few months due to new work schedule. Well within those few months prices have jumped at least 10$ on almost everything. Their portions got smaller. We usually get full bossam and full jokbal. Now their full size is the original half size. Their soft tofu soup tasted like spagetti-os. Not to mention there is 0 interactions. U order everything on a tablet. Even water napkins bill comes through the tablet. Why would i tip for this? This Place Slaps! So Delicious! I got the LA Galbi and it's amazing so tasty and tender! It comes with Banchan dish that is unlimited ! They also serve all kinds of Soju ! i got the yogurt soju and it was an amazing paring with LA Galbi! The service was great and ambience was nice, they have cool decorations and nice upbeat music! Came here on Sunday at 4pm for a cousins outing & to celebrate a birthday. There is a small parking lot in the front but be careful because A LOT of people park on the lines.. smh. One of my cousins made a reservation two weeks ago for 27 people (adults & kids). We were split up on two tables but right next to each other in the corner. The place is loud with kpop music & other people but not too loud where you gotta shout at each other. You can write on the tables & walls, there's a cup with markers. I love Korean food so there was a lot to choose from but my favorites were kimchi stew, mandu, meat jun, pork belly & bean sprouts, & crispy seaweed rolls. Keep in mind that they use purple rice. The kids didn't really care for it because it's different but I liked it. I did have my 1 year old & he loved the purple rice & mandu. Luckily they did have a high chair but from what I heard, I think they only have one high chair in the restaurant. We did order a lot of food so some took time to get to our tables but we just kindly reminded them about the ones we were waiting on. It was pretty much all of our first time there & I can see they do get busy quick for dinner so I suggest to go early. We had a cake for our cousin & they were nice to keep it in the fridge. I stopped by today and tried their beef short ribs soup (galbitang) and I was very impressed. The taste was so "WOW" and it could not have been any better and I ended up eating it all and drank the whole soup to the last drop. The rice I received was japgopbap, a multigrain rice, and it really was so good. Moreover, the side dishes could not have been any better as with how they were presented and the great taste to each one. What impressed me further was the color pens on each table for the customers to leave some graffiti of their own, which reminded me of having seen some customer graffiti's at restaurants on k-dramas. We were seated right away and there was tons of parking! The bancban here is really good. They have some of the best kimchi i've ever had.. MY NEW FAVORITE SPOT! my friend took me here and the business was booming!! she mentioned that last time she came it wasn't usually as busy as it was but I'm so glad they're doing well :) we waited kind of a while to be sat but as soon as our table was ready the staff acknowledged and were grateful we stuck around! ***4.5 STARS*** It's such a great feeling when you are able to check off a bookmark, especially with a great experience. You see, I've had Jagalchi under the radar when seeing mouth watering pics of their bossam with raw oysters, one of my favorite Korean dishes to eat. So when my foodie friends suggested we come here to celebrate my birthday, I graciously agreed. Located in the same area of Spero Spera along Young Street, Jagalchi specializes in Korean cuisine that's authentic, as well as keeping up with current food trends. Shout out to Peter Y. and Auntie (aka Nadine C.) for suggesting and making reservations. Peter scored the private dining area for us which sat our lively group of 9. Parking is challenging as it's a shared lot with multiple businesses so I had to park on Young Street when I arrived as it was a full house. Upon entry, I was caught off guard as I didn't know what to expect. Jagalchi is a homey restaurant that seems like what you'd get from a Korean home. But the food quality was from a restaurant. I had the honor of ordering for our hungry group. Prior to dining here, I reviewed their food pics on Yelp and jotted down a list of dishes that got my attention. I shared my list with them and took suggestions of what to add and eliminate. Overall, the food here is delicious. We noticed that their fried and deep fried dishes were executed well. The mandoo, seaweed rolls, chicken wings, squash jun, seafood pancake and chive pancake were all winners. The LA Galbi was served on top of sliced onions on a sizzling platter. Very tender and so delicious. For me personally, I really wanted bossam, tender pork that you wrap with blanched cabbage, spicy dried daikon, sliced jalapeño and raw garlic. Key to this dish is the briny, raw oysters which I just love. For 9 people I ordered the large platter that was impressive as it arrived. We snapped photos and it was time to dig in. First bite and I was in heaven. Pork was succulent and so tender. The cabbage was still al dente which provided another level of texture contrast. The dried daikon gave it crunch with a slightly sweet and spiciness. Genius. My dining mates, however, didn't appreciate bossam as much as me so we had quite a bit of leftovers where I gladly took home the leftovers. Service was above average where the staff were so friendly. They kindly refrigerated the birthday cake while we ate dinner and provided plates and metal forks for our dessert. So why not 5-stars? The ban chan served to us was underwhelming where a handful of us noticed and commented. Staff did bring us refills upon request but the quality, quantity and volume was didn't make par. There was also an error in our billing. Luckily my friend checked and after the error was addressed, the bill was adjusted. In closing, I am glad to have finally tried Jagalchi, especially after witnessing their bossam. Their Kalbi was a little tough although it had a good taste. Their Bachan was ok not too fancy but you can order more if you wanted . This is my new favorite Korean restaurant and the only one I know to get quality bossam. I've always settled for the to-go ones from Palama, but this is on a whole new level. The price point is up there but it's totally worth it with the amount you get. I also got the kimchi stew and seafood pancake. Was my first time and had a great experience! We ordered gimbap, 2 types of jeon, squid, and tteokbokki. The squid was my fave it was SO good. I would come again just to eat that. You must sign in on the wait list on the iPad upon arrival and then will be notified via text or someone when your table is ready. Took a while for someone to acknowledge us and about 20 mins for our food to arrive once we ordered. Our waitress was very nice and checked on us once throughout our meal. There are colored permanent markers on the tables for people to draw on the table and thousands upon thousands of stickers adorn the walls of the entire place. There is a bathroom available if you drink too much and in true korean fashion, a pitcher of water is left on each table. The kalbi was very flavorful and relish! The Bossam platter wasn't my cup of tea, but is very popular. The cheese corn is a MUST!! The kim chee pancake was probably the closest to my mom's in flavor, but could have been a little more crispy and not so bulky. My mom puts the kim chee in the blender a little so the pancake isnt so bulky and it doesnt fall apart as this one does. All in all a great experience with great food! read more
