Jaggers is a new restaurant that is opening tomorrow, December 9, 2020, at the site of the old Texas Roadhouse on Dutchmans Parkway. I had the opportunity to try to today during a friends and family drive through event. I'm not sure if there is inside seating, but they had a very quick and efficient drive through! The menu consists of burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, chicken tenders, sides and shakes. Overall the menu looks really delicious and prices are affordable ranging from $4.49 - $7.49 for an entree. You can make it a meal to receive fries and a drink for $2.99. We ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger and California Grilled Chicken sandwich with fries. All the burgers are doubles, which my husband loved. The burgers were amazing! The bread is toasted and buttery, the sandwiches were good sized and you could actually taste the different flavors. The California Grilled Chicken had bacon, fresh avocado, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and garlic Mayo. It was a very hearty sandwich, and one I would recommend. The sandwich itself was heavy and the ingredients made the bun a little flimsy, but I contribute that to my 20+ minute drive home! The fries were to die for. They are shoestring, crunchy fries that are seasoned. We got the regular order which was a regular side of fries. The top it off we ordered the Hersey's Chocolate Chip cookie shake. It wasn't full to the top, but it was so rich and creamy. You could really taste the whipped cream, but it was still light with cookie crumbles on it. I will be back to try all the shakes. So glad a place like this has opened up that has several selections of chicken and hamburger options. I went the 2nd week they were open. At that time, the inside of the restaurant was not open yet. You could only do curbside or drive thru orders. I have been' on 2 separate occasions to Jaggers. The first time I got the bacon cheeseburger with fries and added a cheese cup. That burger was so good and fresh. It was still hot when I got all the way home. The fries remind me of Steak & Shakes. Thin fries, but they had a little more potato than Steak & Shake. These were much better. The cheese was like nacho cheese. Not sure if I was a big fan of it, but it's cheese and I love cheese. The second time I went I did curbside. My food was ready exactly when it was supposed to be. As soon as I pulled up, they brought it right out. I had several orders I was picking up and all the orders were correct. This time I got Country Fried Chicken sandwich and fries. It had a piece of fried chicken, gravy and an egg on it. I love chicken with gravy. Yum! The sandwich was delicious. The egg was not that good on it so I took it off. The thing I liked is that they were thoughtful when they prepared the food. They put the gravy on the side and I assume because they knew it would make the sandwich soggy before we reached our destination. Great planning ! Thanks! I also got a side salad. Found this place on Yelp on the way from the airport. They serve burgers, chicken sandwiches, and tenders. I went through drive thru so I can't speak to the ambiance inside. There were order takers outside which reminded me of CFA. While I waited, I was able to decide what I wanted. I opted for the mushroom swiss burger and shoestring fries. The burger was juicy, but a little underseasoned imo. I was hungry so I thought I would be able to finish the double patty that comes standard, but it was too much for me. You can ask for a single, apparently at a lower price point. The fries were crisp, seasoned just right, and hot. It was a decent meal, and a nice welcome to Louisville. So my advice, don't open if you're not ready. This should really be a 1-star review, but the service staff were friendly and attempted to make-up for the issues. It is currently drive-thru only. The line at various times wraps around the building, parking lot, and out into the road between the restaurant and Panera. At 11:45, I waited about 10 minutes to order. When trying to order 5 items; a green chili burger, a spicy chicken sandwich, tater tots, a burger, and shakes, they were out of 3 of the 5 items ( tater tots, all shakes, and the green chili burger.). The friendly girl taking orders said it would all be ready in 30 minutes. So, I left the line and ran a few errands. I returned at 12:40, and when I was up to order...still NO green chili burger or shakes!!! I explained that I was told to come back in 30, and it was over 45 minutes. The manager did come out and say our lunch would be taken care of and a cookie and brownie would be thrown in. So I ordered 2 burgers and 1 chicken sandwich with tater tots. When I got to the window they asked me to pay a second time, but a manager did quickly come over to apologize for the lack of green chili burgers and shakes and comp the bill. Opening containers at home, you can't tell what anything is because they are wrapped in paper and in a black styrofoam container. The buns are pretty good and the Jagger sauce is delicious. The tater tots were cooked well and seasoned with a little salt and pepper. Everything else...not so good. The burgers are smaller than the bun, the pickles are sliced too thin, the tomato was actually green, the spicy chicken was very plain and dry. And of course, no cookies or brownies in the bag (which I was going to order had the manager not said she was going to throw them in.) So, we'll try it again after they've been open a month or two, but as for now...not too good. read more

Food is good but my burger is always just eh, it's never hot, almost cold. There so many burger joints that do better unfortunately.

First of all, I love any place that serves crispy shoestring fries. You don't get that much anymore. Second of all, the food is amazing and I can't believe it took me this long to know about this place. We got the crazy good cheeseburger, the crispy chicken deluxe and a vanilla milkshake and oh my goodness - everything was fantastic and definitely hit the spot. What makes this place special is that we came with a free coupon for 2 combos, which Jaggers had given to Norton Women & Children for people postpartum. Came but for lunch on Sunday! They weren't allowing indoor dining but you can go inside to pickup. We did drive thru. They had 2 staff members taking orders outside on iPads. We got the double hamburger, a spicy chicken sandwich, and fries to share. Everything was good! Not bad prices either. It was a quick process! We LOVE Jaggers! Two BIG things: it's a mess getting through the drive through. 1) it's an "every-other-system" after you order, one lane goes, then the other lane goes, etc. Well, no one is monitoring this and people won't let others over. It's a free for all. 2) Cars are flying around cutting through several different directions. Lots of cars going around me, narrowly missing my car that we're going passed the tent way too fast. I guess going behind the old mangos or to Starbucks next door? Either way, entirely too much non-customer traffic. *Management needs to do something about the safety of the cars in their lanes with so many cars flying through the parking lot *New system of cars going, or have someone monitor it. This is my second review. Maybe the first time review needed some updating since I did the review during the Grand Opening. I ordered the same thing a Crazy Good Burger with extra crispy tater tots. I could taste the sauce on the burger this time. It had a hint of barbeque with a touch of Thousand Island. It was pretty good. The meat had a thick texture. I would like to try a single patty if they offered it, however I did not see any on the menu. The tots were hot and crispy and good as well. The service was again top notch. Food at Jaggers is pricey and not that great. The burger was pretty dry and flavorless. The toppings and sauce helped, but not enough to make it worth the cost. The fries (I ordered tater tots BTW) were very salty and cold. All in all, the food experience was pretty underwhelming. First time we tried this place, and I wish we had done so sooner. We had free combo coupons for having a baby (the hospital gave us them). We got carry out as there is currently no dining in. Service was quick even with the drive-thru being crazy. My husband got 10 piece chicken tenders and fries. The meal was huge and he had leftovers. My husband had the chance to try Jaggers when they brought some of their food to his workplace. He really liked it, so I was definitely excited to give it a try too. In general, we don't eat a lot of fast food, but this seems more like "fast, casual dining." We went through the drive thru, which operates very efficiently. The parking lot is small, and makes the drive thru line seem a lot longer than it really is. Our order was taken and fulfilled quickly! I ordered the country fried chicken sandwich, my husband ordered the spicy crispy chicken sandwich, and we both ordered fries. Both of our meals were great, and it came with a lot of fries. I really liked the gravy that came with my sandwich, and I used the leftover gravy for my fries. Love this new spot. This is brand owned by Texas Roadhouse. Line looks long, it goes so quick. Kinda like chick-fil-a drive thru. This store is drive thru only. Lots of options, burgers, chicken sandwiches , tenders, salads and more. They have brownies, chocolate chip cookies, and shakes! My mom and I both got burgers. She opted for the crazy good burger and I got the green Chile burger. We both made our burgers meals with fries and drink. They have shoestring fries with. Yummy seasoning. Alright, I hate to be the one one to recommend fast food but guys this has to be one of THE BEST fast food places you'll ever eat. They are definitely chick-fil-a status here, allow me to explain. 1. Their line management resembles CFA! On busy days they have folks outside with iPads to take orders and payments. 2. They have a nice sized menu. Not too many options but just enough for you to try new things every visit. They also are owned by Texas Roadhouse so their food quality on this menu is wayyyyyy better than any other fast food place. 3. Everything is made fresh, hot and cooked to order. My food was piping hot which is my preference. I tried a variety of things including the Spicy chicken sandwich, the Bacon cheese burger meal, the milkshake and their signature Strawberry lemonade! Everything was amazing even reheated (because of course I couldn't finish it all in one sitting) 4. Their customer service was amazing. They are very new so I'd love to see how this continues! At this time they're operating drive-thru only. Seems like daily the line is backed up and wrapped around the corner. You also have the option to order online and pickup in a reserved parking space. Although the line is pretty long the wait isn't. Jaggers has a great order taking system with workers outside providing paper menu, and card payment options. I probably had 10-15 cars in front of me and I waiting about 15mins total. I ordered the Crazy Good Cheese burger combo with the Strawberry lemonade. All the hype around it was valid! I work at Baptist so I am close . I have been there many times and always experience great service & good food. I have had the pleasure to meet Spencer who was actually taking orders in the drive thru and Brittany at the window. I have Chad a manager who called me at home to make sure I received excellent service . I had asked for blue cheese crumbles but received blue cheese dressing. They stay on top of any negative or hiccups in service . I can't think of another place that makes the customer #1 . The food is so wonderful- my complaint is build more locations PLEASE. We have been here a few times now since opening and have been able to try a variety of things. We have used both the drive thru and ordering online. We have never had to wait too long at dinner time to get our food, no more than 10 minutes in line. The dining room isn't open yet, but they're doing a good job getting orders through. Now about the food.... I've gotten the crazy good cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, grilled chicken salad and fried chicken salad and Oreo milkshake! My son loves the cheeseburger kids meal, with fries, cookies and a drink- it's a good deal. All of the food has been solid, burgers are cooked perfectly and fries & tots are crunchy. I was able to try a preview of Jaggers the day before it opened to the public. Texas Roadhouse being the parent company, I had huge hopes about their food. We ordered the Bacon cheeseburger with shoe string fries and the chicken strips. The burger was out if this world good. Quality beef was used in the process and it shows in taste. One if the better fast food burgers you can buy. Chicken strips are made in house and fresh. Do note that they were spicy without the menu saying so. We were in Louisville for a business meeting, and stumbled upon this place; what a find! The food was great, all four of us were happy with the meal and quality of the burgers, chicken, shakes, etc. What we were most excited about, was to discover Jaggers is in the Texas Roadhouse network, so we were able to use our Starfish platform to make Texas Roadhouse Gift Cards , pay for our meal (No Credit card usage), and get cash back! This place just opened up and j was eager to try it along with tons of other people which made it super hard to get into the parking lot. Good thing I ordered online and scheduled a pickup which was on time and easy to get! I got a BBQ Cheese Burger and noticed lots of options you could add and went with bacon of course....because....bacon. I also got the Crispy Chicken Sandwich because I'm just a hungry fellow along with large tots because boy do I love tots. The BBQ Cheese Burger was pretty good and juicy. The added bacon tasted fresh and crisp. The chicken sandwich was also juicy and well cooked. Pretty disappointed it kind of looks poorly put together but it tasted good and that's all that matters to me really. Now now to why it's losing a star from me. Value. So when I say I love tots, I LOVE THEM. I see them on the menu and I have to have them haha. So although the tots were excellent, I wished there were more! So naturally I order a large instead of a regular size and to my dismay, the large containers are roughly the same size as the regular containers! In my photos I've put them side by size and the volume of food looks the same! Regular fries sitting next to "large" tots in my photos. I can't help but feel cheated . The containers are nearly the same size and the cut out feels like I got my dollar stolen from me . Let me start by saying the Green Chile Burger is amazing, as are the tots. I've had them three times and they were flawless each time, so kudos to the line cooks. I'm kinda craving one as I write this. They deserve all the praise. The lousy star rating is because of ownership/management. The restaurant has been open roughly 11 months. The dining room hasn't been open a single day. I'm a burger guy and I'd love to give this place more money by frequenting them far more often. Some of us are done living off the drive-thru and eating in our cars. It's past time for indoor dining. So for the for foreseeable future I eat indoors next door at Panera and look out the window at Jaggers and wish I was chowing down on one of their burgers instead. I'm not even a big Panera fan but I like sitting at a table to eat and not my steering wheel, so Panera it is.
