After more than a week of communication with Jaguar Sarasota--including Luis, Steve, and Noah--I was ultimately denied the opportunity to purchase a 2026 Jaguar F-PACE, despite being a returning Jaguar customer, pre-approved for financing, and fully eligible for Jaguar's Loyalty incentive. I clearly stated from the beginning that I was willing to finance through Jaguar and accept the dealership's price and documentation fee. My only request was that fees and taxes comply with Georgia law, where I'm stationed and legally required to register as an active-duty service member. Under federal law (SCRA/MRRA), I have the right to register and pay taxes in my home state--a routine process many dealerships understand and respect. Jaguar Sarasota, however, refused to remove optional Florida fees, falsely claimed they were "state regulated," and provided no legal justification when asked. When I asked to self-register, I was told via vague text that they "could not proceed due to out-of-state limitations." No updated buyer's order. No written explanation. No willingness to comply with basic, lawful practices. This wasn't about price--I was ready to buy. I just asked for transparency and lawful compliance. Bring my car in for an oil change and to fix a minor problem with my door locks. After two days it's fixed but I get a text saying they found something else is wrong so it's not ready. Due to the ridiculous price being charged, after my extended warranty covered most of the repair, I declined them doing anything else to my car. I finally get to pick it up over a week later after many unanswered calls and texts and now it has an issue it didn't have when I dropped it off which will cost $1800 just to diagnose. All signs of a bad customer experience. I was looking to purchase a expensive ($32,000) used car to be paid in cash only from this dealer and I was in contact with the Sales Manager Brian Tinsley. Due to the fact this purchase was an out of state purchase, I needed a few questions answered before paying . After a few additional exchanges about their fees ( IE inflated Dealers prep fees+ Electronic Filing fees totaling $2,000). the dealer sold the car within a matter of an hour to someone else while we were still working on a deal. Buy anywhere else. Bought a Jaguar F-Pace with less than 30k miles in February, didn't think I needed to do a private inspection from a dealer that supposedly inspects the vehicles prior to sale. Purchased an extended bumper to bumper warranty, as well as a tire and wheel warranty that I was told "covers everything except for treadwear so you don't have to worry" to the tune of over $7,000 extra. Dropped the vehicle off in July because the trim was wearing off inside, it had a check engine light on, the 20k mile oil change interval was telling me was due for an oil change less than 3,000 miles in (clearly hadn't changed the oil prior to sale), the diamond program button only works intermittently, and showed them that the tires are literally separating at the seems due to having been dry-rotted. I've now paid over $1,500 over the last two months to own the car and haven't gotten to drive it once, because they STILL HAVE IT, went in a couple of days ago and was told it's because it took a while to get O2 sensor heat wrap. Pointed out the tires to the manager Dean who agreed that there was no way that level of deterioration had occurred in only 6 months and that it should not have been sold like that, and assured me that he would get it taken care of for me. Received a call back today stating that he contacted Michelin who agreed to prorate 38% of the cost and that I'd have to pay the rest if I wanted it fixed, claiming they wanted to make me happy, but have done "all they can do". I guarantee when the car was traded in they deducted the cost of tires from the trade in, telling the seller that it was due to them having to replace the tires, and then the dealership pocketed the difference and just "passed" it through inspection, and if I tried to trade it in right now they wouldn't take it without again deducting the price of tires. They literally did NOTHING except hold my car hostage for two months while I'm still paying for the vehicle, insurance, etc. and try to sell me tires. Michelin did their part, good on them. The dealership did NOTHING. They told me my $2,000 wheel and tire coverage they sold me doesn't cover the tire literally coming apart with 80% tread left on them. They said it's not their fault it took them 2 months to replace an O2 sensor that should take 15 minutes. They told me they did all they could do but they'd sell me new tires if I wanted, while trying to take credit for the discount that Michelin offered to back their product and upkeep customer relations as if that was some favor to me. They'll gladly sell you a car, but that's as far as the service goes here. I've never received such poor service from ANY dealership, definitely not what I expected from a luxury dealership after paying for luxury service. Saddest part is I have them two months and EBERY chance to make this right before posting this, and they refused, they didn't care because they already had the money. Don't walk, RUN away. If you do somehow ignore the comments just go in knowing you'll waste a good chunk of your day. (There is no talking down) list price will be way more than what it actually is. Now, saying that, if you've ever bought a car you know there is tax, tag, title, dealer fees that will elevate it. BUT! That doesn't warrant a mandatory, non-negotiable 8k added to what you are paying all for a premiere package you can't turn down. They claim only impeccable-no damage pristine cars that are cleaned and heavy inspected. One of the cars that was "COVID cleaned" had dirt on the tops of the seats, another smelled funky. When does the package get applied? I was told after my day from hell, this place buys at auction to sell for a heavy profit on finance and their mandatory packages. "Military grade rain-x, nitrogen filled tires, cleaning AC and changing a filter, "COVID sanitizing" the fee was outrageous. My agent was great. I feel bad for the guy.. hope he finds a dealer worthy of him and his time. The managers over them are the hard balling dudes you'll deal with when you don't like the price. The arrogance of telling you to borrow more just so they can make a buck. Needless to say... I wasted 6 hours and walked. A really bad experience for such a prestigious dealership but they act like a small dealership as I went to purchase a BMW and didn't negotiate they wanted to enforce warranties that I don't need nor want, after I left the sales gentleman called me to come back and they would honor the deal as soon as I turned back approximately 30 minutes drive they said they can't and tried to reinforce those warranties. We were under extended warranty with a $200 deductible but it takes time to get that all figures out on their end since it or our vehicle was not purchased there. So they did diagnostic and charges us $350 which we had to pay upfront to be able to leave with our car until the warranty could be settled. Long story short we had to get the dealerahip where we purchased our car and warranty involved. Sunset Cadillac was great in assisting us to get this service done under warranty. What a frustrating experience buying a car at Jaguar Sarasota. While Biby was great on the sales side, the last month has been nothing but aggravation with regard to the rest of the of the dealership. The problem started when the finance manager, Josh had to switch us from Colorado plates/registration to Florida. Since we paid extra for the higher out of state plate costs he promised us a refund of approximately $2,200. After he exhausted his powers getting the check he referred me to their title clerk. After leaving her four unreturned messages over a period in excess of a week, I asked the phone receptionist for anyone who would actually pick up the phone that could help. She gave me a title clerk from another store who once again failed to get results. Since then have left two messages on the link on their website and even an email for the Sales Manager Brian Tinsley and not one reply. BEWARE... unscrupulous, deceitful, money-grabbing Jaguar/Land Rover dealership (part of Morgan Auto Group). Avoid at all costs! I purchased a 2019 Ford Ranger several weeks ago from Jaguar/Land Rover of Sarasota, a division of the Morgan Auto Group, in Tampa, FL., and have had nothing but problems with this long-distance purchase since the delivery of the truck. I was lied to, tricked, and blamed for this truck not being delivered to me as promised by this dealership, and I encourage others to look anywhere other than the Morgan Auto Group (MAG) line of dealerships for their next vehicle purchase. If this dealership is an example of how MAG allows their businesses to be run, don't even consider walking on any of their dealership lots! Even the GM of this dealership blew me off, not returning my call when we had a pre-arranged date and time to speak about my unfortunate purchase. Salesperson Taga Sickler failed to disclose obvious damages to this truck (i.e., leather seat ink stains, deep bedliner gouges, engine hesitation), nor did the dealership disclose these damages in their sales ads for the truck online. When I pushed to have an independent mechanic check out the truck before purchase, I was told by Mr. Sickler, 'No way, you can't do that here.' Red Flag! Sales Manager Gene Stewart lied to me about the reconditioning work done to the truck to make it more presentable (i.e., new tires, oil/filter change, new wiper blades, multi-point service check). NOTE: At delivery, none of these items were replaced or put on the truck! The day before delivery, Mr. Toby Gray, who handles all the titling/registering of vehicles, called me and said that an additional $500 was required to be added to the agreed purchase price to pay for the services of the delivery crew to drive to Miami and back. When I stated that Mr. Sickler initially informed me that ALL Florida sales included 'free' delivery, he said Miami was too far, and if I didn't pay, I could come to Sarasota and get it. Wow, that sounds like extortion to me. The next day at delivery to my home, not only was the truck not as represented by the dealership's employees, Mr. Sickler and Mr. Stewart (specifically ruined leather seating, used tires, worn wiper blades, unchanged oil, and the truck undetailed with roaches and food inside), but I learned that Mr. Gray had NOT titled/registered the truck as per my wishes with my personalized tag or with a paper title ordered. To date, I cannot re-tag this truck with my personalized tag; Mr. Gray told me to buy the paper title at the tag agency myself. Wow, I PAID the dealership to handle all the tag and title work correctly. This was NOT the case. On a last note, I asked the delivery crew what they were earning to deliver the truck to Miami. The amount was laughable when compared to the $500 I was told needed to be paid for the delivery. I told them what I paid for the delivery, and they laughed, saying I was being taken for a ride! Of course, I reported all this immediately to Mr. Sickler, who then passed the ball along to Mr. Gray, who passed the ball to Mr. Stewart, who never called me back. I called these people every other day for two weeks until the dealership had Customer Relations Liaison, Mr. Jason Mirabito, call me, stating that any grievances toward, or any wrongdoing on the part of any dealership employee was simply a misunderstanding on 'my' part, and to 'satisfy me' about the truck titling issue, he would put $10 in the mail for my trouble! Which he NEVER did. He also said that I was 'bothering' everyone by calling the dealership and I should lay off. When I asked about last-minute $500 for delivery (or I could come to get the truck) he said, "It was simply a renegotiation of the price on the truck". Right. Again, please do NOT consider working with any of the Morgan Auto Group (MAG) line of auto dealerships! The MAG employees I dealt with will lie, cheat, mislead, and take every advantage of you. I received fantastic service by a great group of employees at Jaguar Sarasota. My Service Advisor, Tyler, was extremely communicative throughout the whole process and make the normally stressful activity of getting one's vehicle serviced a breeze. Tyler was very positive, attentive and friendly. He explained to me what happened to my Jaguar F-Pace SVR and had the auxiliary radiator replaced immediately and my SUV was ready before noon the same day. Normally, at other dealerships parts have to be ordered and it's a multi day process but at Jaguar Sarasota it was same day. The whole team is friendly and attentive to all the customers who entered. To use the term garage fees is an insult to garbage ! $2000 for window etch and other nonsense ? $1200 doc fee. $1350 for a recondition fee ? Really, so now the customers pay to recon a used car for front line sale ? Isn't that what dealers are are in the actual business of doing, buy cars recondition them and sell them? Would give negative stars if I was capable of doing so. This was the worst experience with purchasing a vehicle that I have ever had. This company is dishonest and has fraudulent practices. We wanted to buy another company vehicle and found a 2022 Ford Explorer. We called the dealership and got more information on the car and got paperwork started to them. At this time I stated that I only wanted to be listed as the guarantor on the loan and did not want my name on the loan. They said that was fine and continued with the process. We told them we would be by in the morning to pick it up and sign the documents. We asked that the car be ready and clean so we could be done as soon as possible. When we arrived the next morning the car was not ready at all and still dirty. We reiterated to the salesperson about only wanting to have the loan in the business name. When we got back with the finance person we restated this again and he said it wasn't a problem. Right before I signed for the loan I asked again "Just want to make sure I am only on as a guarantor. He assured me that this was correct. Come to find out later he knew that I wasn't going to be on the loan as a guarantor and ran it through several banks to try and make it work. At the time he also asked us if we would like GAP insurance on the car. Seeing as how the KBB on the car was 37k and we were buying at around 32K we didn't feel the need to purchase and declined it. We finished with the paperwork and then had to wait over an hour for the vehicle to be cleaned. Fast forward a few weeks and I check my credit report and find a 38k dollar loan on my credit. When I contacted the dealership I was given the run around and was repeatedly not called back. We purchased the vehicle in November and for 8 months I was ignored. I filled out a cancellation on the fraudulently charged GAP coverage in January of 2024 and it wasn't processed until the end of May after I repeatedly called about it. Over the course of the process numerous people I talked to didn't call me back when they said they would. The salesperson I dealt with, the finance manager, the finance director and finally the GSM. All of these people repeatedly did not call me back when they said they would or flat out wouldn't return messages left. The only people that were willing to call me from that place was the service department trying to get more money out of us. Stay away they are awful. read more

My husband made an appointment to view a pre-owned Tahoe they recently had on the lot. Someone from the dealership called twice to confirm the appointment including the morning of. We get to the dealership, sit down with a salesman only for him to inform us that the vehicle we had come to see sold the day before! I thought to myself "Gee, really glad we didn't drive out of town for this". Already frustrated, we test drove a pre-owned Escalade, but they were 100% firm on the price and wouldn't budge. The manager then gets involved in negotiations and assesses our potential trade in. He comes back with a price that was so low, it was not only ridiculous, it was insulting. We said "thanks, but no thanks" and told him we've already received a trade in offer significantly higher than his. I told my husband we owe it to ourselves to at least view a vehicle we are really interested in, so we left their lot and drove straight to Conley Buick GMC in Bradenton. We ended up leaving GMC with a brand new Yukon Denali and had the best experience, no bait and switch or dog and pony show like SRQ Jag seems to offer. I am a born and raised native to Sarasota and will never consider doing business with SRQ Jaguar in the future. WILDE AUTOMOBILE - MASTERS OF DECEPTION I have dealt with Wilde LandRover, Jaguar & Maserati during the past 3 years. I have maintained my first Maserati Quatroporte at Wild, bought another Maserati 15 months ago and recently almost bought a new LandRover Discovery. Before writing about my experiences with Wild I would like to point out the one good thing that dealership has going for it. It is Mrs. Shayne Gilley, one of the service managers. She is honest, reliable and lots of fun to work with. Following please find a list of my experiences: WILD SALES FACILITIES The Wild sales facilities have so far been small, old, unclean and overcrowded with vehicles. Now that Maserati has been moved, this has become a bit better but is still far from a premium experience and not comparable with those of Audi, Infinity, Mercedes or other premium brands. WILDE SALES PROCESS 1) Wilde discounts the cars online as to lure people into the shop 2) Once you show interest they make you an offer that heavily discounts your trade-in car by 10-20% under the Blue Book dealer purchase value 3) They then add unnecessary options such as Paint/Interior protection and others onto the offer that increases the total cost by nearly 2.000$. When you finally tell them that you do not wish to purchase those options they will tell you that that is the deal and that you cannot change those options anymore. 4) When negotiating further car options as in our case a roof rail they´ll tell you that they will do the parts and labor at dealership cost - unfortunately this is a trick and you end up being charged the normal dealership retail and labor cost. If asked why they do so, they will straight forward lie into your face that the retail cost normally is much higher and they will even send you a falsified written quote that is approx. 30% higher than the quote any other LandRover dealership would have given you (see pictures below). I have experienced the first three procedures with the purchase of my Maserati as well as the Discovery. These points in in my mind already show the deceptive business practices of Wilde Automobile. However, the most serious and perfidy action we felt, was the fourth point that was jointly staged by the sales manager and his superior. WILD SERVICE Besides from Mrs. Gilley, the Wild car service is bad. Repeatedly I got my car back from the regular service with dirty spots on the leather seats and scratches on certain interior parts. One time a scratch on top of the automatic transmission of my Maserati was even painted over with a permanent marker. CONCLUSION We fortunately ended up buying our new Discovery at LandRover Tampa. Thanks to Mr. David Freedman we got a straight forward, honest, understandable offer that finally saved us 1,500$ without having to negotiate. In order to avoid Wilde´s service, in the future Mr. Freedmans service staff will pick up and return our car for service free of charge. The facilities in Tampa, the service and the sales experience were truly premium and free of any hassle or deception. I have been buying and servicing vehicles from Wilde Jaguar-Land Rover of Sarasota for 13 years. They were great in 2005, and are even greater today - and coming from a retired new car dealer, and a consultant to the retail industry, that is saying a lot! Today they did an outstanding job of servicing my two-year-old car and made me a sweetheart of a deal on a 2018 Range Rover Sport. I also must thank and congratulate Jim Kmetzsch, one of his last deals before he heads into retirement tomorrow. A dealership is as good as its people, and Mark Wilde has built a terrific team of talented and very-long tenured team members. That speaks volumes about the way the organization is operated. Terrible, This is probably my last Jaguar. The last two days I have called service department and has gone to voicemail. Not a good sign, once I got them live today they said that I cannot get my car in for one week, I told him that is not a very good sign, and that I will be buying a different car ....Terrible, at least hire more people to answer the phones.
