In May 2025 we purchased a Land Rover Discovery at Land Rover Sarasota. The experience was horrible. Many things went wrong, several increasing price quotes, missing equipment at deliver, etc. A new GM, Chris Lima was contacted by us, and the problem resolution started immediately. This included the termination of the sales person. This quickly showed us how dedicated Chris is to solving problems and customer satisfaction. Within two weeks all the issues were resolved to our satisfaction. If you've had a poor experience in the past at this dealership I can confirm the past bad culture is being eliminated. I have only taken my car to a Land Rover Dealer in Illinois where they provided free hikes, free loaner cars, car wash with service, etc... I always knew the invoice total prior to picking up and was NEVER charged a credit card fee of 3%. I guess I didn't realize how good I had it? We just relocated to the area so I made an appointment with Land Rover Sarasota. What a mistake! From the moment I walked in as the first appointment of the day to the time I picked up my car I experienced laziness, uncaring attitude, and nickel and diming. I was told if I wanted them to look at any concerns there would be a diagnostic fee to the tune of $250 because the technicians needed to "provide for their families" and the only recommended services they would offer without a diagnostic fee were those that were noticed upon visible inspection? The "service" advisor told me he was going to put in for just an oil change and they would call if they saw anything else. They did call and I did move forward with a couple of recommendations which didn't include a 55K mile service but when I got the bill that's what they did for $256.78. It itemized wiper blades for $49.51 but further down the bill were wiper blade charges for $19.60, $9.99, and $88.77. All in all $167.87 to change out 3 wiper blades? I called before closing to find out if the car was ready and it went to voicemail. I received a text 8 minutes AFTER they closed to let me know my car was ready? I had to wait until the next day to pick it up so it was left outside all night and no complimentary car wash. When I paid the invoice I was informed that there would be a 3% credit card fee? Had someone told me BEFOREHAND I would have brought a check but was stuck paying it because all I had was a credit card. This is a pathetic excuse for a luxury dealership and I have dismissed any ideas of purchasing a new Range Rover from this location (and we have purchased over 10 Range Rovers from the dealership in Illinois). read more

The only reason I did not give 5 starts is because the are currently doing construction at the dealership and we had to be in trailers to do our transaction. The staff tried their best to make us comfortable in the trailers with cold bottle water, sodas and even fresh brewed coffee. If you are going to this dealership take the road right next to Acura dealership which takes you to the back of Land Rover's Trailers. Just keep looking to the right and you will see the lot full of Land Rovers and Range Rovers. My sales person was Bryan Miller. Very nice guy who got us the deal we wanted. I am giving this dealership 5 stars simply for the professionalism of Ayman in Sales who sold me the 2023 Discovery Sport. Ayman is a true gentleman and always lived up to his commitments and continues to do so after the sale of the vehicle. I would highly recommend Ayman if you do decide to purchase a vehicle from this dealership. Now moving on to the finance department, they did nothing but give me a headache due to the lack of knowledge during the process. They sold me Gap insurance but then called me a few days later stating that they had to retract the gap insurance due to the amount of deposit I had put down which is something they should have known from the onset. The finance department also delayed the payoff on my trade in vehicle, due to this, I had to pay the interest for an additional month. *** Questionable sales practices & insistence to follow procedures turn reasonable customers into ardent critics *** During the buying process of a preowned car in December 2023, my daughter was exposed to questionable sales practices and it took us over 100 days and countless hours to obtain a payment owed to her by the dealership. Here are the facts: - On December 9,2023, my daughter bought a car that she intended to pay cash (salesperson Bibiana Fitzgerald). As part of the negotiation process, the sales manager asked her to take a loan and keep it for at least 4 months so the dealership can receive a finder's fee. She reluctantly agreed under the condition that the dealership pays the interest, calculated at $220. The dealership finance manager assured her that the payment would be made promptly. - In mid-January 2024 and early February 2024, my daughter followed up several times by email with the sales person since she had still not received the check. No clear response was received. - Since I live relatively close to the dealership, while my daughter lives 50 miles away, I started getting involved at this point and I visited the dealership. A February 7, 2024 meeting with the (new) sales manager Troy Burns confirmed that nothing had been done on this issue until two days earlier. We learned that since there was a lien on the car because of the loan, a check had been allegedly sent (by regular mail) to the bank, and my daughter would have to wait until the bank receives and applies the check. - Later in February, my daughter and I both spent hours on the phone with the bank to try and locate the check, to no avail. I physically visited the dealership again, where I obtained the contact of the accounting representative at the central Morgan Automotive Group accounting department (Yazmin Manzano). I then started communicating with her. - During the balance of February, several calls to the accounting department were placed, which resulted in: cancelling the original check, allegedly issuing a new one (by regular mail again), and dealing with a return check fee. - In early March 2024, more phone time was spent with the bank trying to locate the check. Four additional telephone conversations were held with Morgan Automotive Group's accounting in an effort to identify a more effective way to receive the payment that my daughter was owed. I made multiple offers that were refused: I offered to pick up a check addressed to my daughter at the dealership while connecting with her by video call to confirm her identity, I offered to have the dealership pay cash and turn in an expense report, etc..... Despite the obvious failure of the payment methods considered so far, the acknowledgement that the cause of the delay was not ours, and my daughter and I being extremely patient and reasonable, the accounting representative showed no empathy and no intention to deviate one inch from her standard procedures. It took 104 days after the purchase of the car for my daughter to receive the money she was owed. She never intended to finance this purchase and did it as a favor to the dealership, which turned out to be a mistake. We should never have had to spend any time on this, especially for such a minor amount. I know the importance of complying with procedures and the necessity for strong controls. I have also learned however the need to own mistakes with customers and when to recognize that documented exceptions need to be made to standard procedures to avoid creating customer outrage. Strongarming customers to take on unnecessary loans to benefit some performance metric, and then lacking the appropriate empathy and action to resolve an issue created by the dealership turn reasonable customers into frustrated individuals eager to tell their story to friends and social media contacts. read more

My 2022 Land Rover purchased in November of 2022 driver's seat failed while under warranty last July. The replacement equipment arrived at the Dealership shortly thereafter. We have been in contact with Service to schedule an appointment on several occasions for the warranty work since arrival under warranty and told by Service that the Dealership has been too busy since arrival to do the work or to provide a replacement vehicle during the work. I went there to buy my wife a new Range Rover Velar. My salesman was Davie Jones who was just outstanding. No high pressure tactics. He helped us find the car we wanted. We got an extremely good deal, especially considering the supply of cars getting thin. We worked with Matt in finance who got us great financing and, again, no high pressure sales. We worked through all the options for different extended warranty packages. I have never bought an extended warranty on any of my cars, new or used. However, I'd never bought an $80k car before. They have a premium warranty package that included door ding repair, road hazard warranty for tires and rims, interior and exterior protectant, and one brake/rotor replacement. It also had some other included items. It wasn't cheap. But, the brake job with rotors in these cars is very expensive. So, there is some return on your investment guaranteed. Fast forward two months, my wife runs over some object that falls off the junk truck in front of her. It causes sidewall splits and pre-blowout bulges on the sidewalls of both right side tires. It also knicked one rim. She got a door ding the same day. These are Pirelli Zero tires that run $300+ each mounted. I took the car in anticipating have to fight to get anything done. I met with Denise in the service department and, wow, was she just awesome! She knew her stuff. She got everything taken care of without any hassle at all! It was a total relief to me. She sent me to the Body Shop where I met with Joe. Joe was just another incredible representative for this company! In short, all the repairs and minor detail work I asked for was taken care of without a single hassle. I just can't say enough about the customer service at this dealership. Davie, Matt, Denise, and Joe were just awesome! I'd also give a shout-out to Marcia at the body shop who actually returned my voicemail before the end of the day and helped guide us on where to start. This is a huge THANK YOU to these people. I spent a lot on this car and added the extra warranty for a few grand (Matt worked it into the payment which softened the blow). That was money well spent! If you're gonna spend a decent chunk of money on one of these cars, and you plan on it being a daily driver, I would highly recommend you consider their premium care package. It WILL pay you back! You know some a-hole is gonna ding your door or your rims are going to get a scratch. I'm glad I spent the extra just for the peace of mind, especially now after having needed it only two months of owning the car. The poor customer service from the dealership compounds the automobiles disappointing issues. 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport, leased December 2020. No immediate issues, except I noticed that the collision warning assistance in the side view mirror turns itself off on occasion. Not daily, not weekly, not monthly, just randomly, so I have to go back through the menu and turn it back on. I supposed I should just leave it off, but since it's a feature of the vehicle, it should work correctly. Display is non-responsive to daylight conditions. As I come out of a parking garage into the Florida sunshine; there is a delay (of up to 30 minutes) on the display changing from dark/night conditions to daylight conditions, doesn't happen every day, every week or every month, just occasionally; not a huge catastrophe, it can cause a little issue when trying to view directions, but again, if it's a feature of the vehicle, it should work correctly. Display is non-responsive to touch; you get the idea. Display warning "Battery Low Please Start Engine"; I tried to contact the dealer to see if this meant the battery on the remote or the battery on the vehicle (owner's manual did not indicate either way). I had the batteries changed in both remotes, still displays the warning. At least this is consistent, it happens every time I am near the vehicle with the remote. So here is where my overall dissatisfaction of the vehicle lies: Wilde September 10, 2022: I spoke to a representative on a Saturday when the issue of the "Battery Low Please Start Engine" warning appeared, again to see if there was a concern the vehicle at some point would not start. I didn't want to have to call a tow truck on a Saturday, when I had time to drop the vehicle off at Wilde but I would need a loaner because I have appointments. The representative said that they do not have the ability to provide a loaner on Saturday. I told her that was unfortunate and let her know that I was disappointed by the overall service form Wilde and dismayed in the functionality of the Land Rover. After a few dialog exchanges, the representative said that she could arrange a porter to come and pick up the vehicle at my home or work and bring me a loaner sometime the following week, someone would call me to arrange. September 23, 2022: I spoke to a representative (different from the one previously) about the warning and the conversation with the representative on September 10th. I've spoken to this representative before and have had challenges with her to describe them kindly. As I described my conversation with the representative of September 10th, she proceeded to berate this individual for offering the Porter service to pick up my vehicle; I told her that because she interrupted me during my explanation, as she always does, she didn't understand that my September 10th representative had spoken to management and was authorized to offer this service because of my overall disappointment. I told the September 23rd representative not to blame the other representative for offering the Porter service. In a more than unpleasant way; the representative indicated that they can setup a Porter service but they are busy and shorthanded so it wouldn't be until Monday, October 24, 2022 would they have available to perform the service; also did I know they have been purchased, I said no. the appointment was set and the representative took my work address. The call was ended, and this letter began. I've currently made it my mission to not only let my colleagues, friends and family understand my overall disappointment with the Land Rover Discovery Sport vehicle and my complete dissatisfaction with Wilde Land Rover (or who ever they are now). read more

Wilde Land Rover of Sarasota has the worst detailers Iv'e ever experienced as recently I took my Discovery in for service and when they returned it they had washed my vehicle but the detailer used a dirty towel to clean my suv as my paint and clear coat are deeply scratched in multiple locations plus scratched the plastic moulding under the door. Now you might be wondering how I know this, well it's because the detailer left the damp dirty towel on the floor in the back and I found it when it started to stink from mold. Had to get my vehicle serviced all under warranty. Made an appointment online on the weekend with a loaner. Received a call Monday morning cancelling the appointment because they said they did not have an appointment open. I was told to bring it in on Tuesday and they would look at my vehicle in between appointments. I took off work and cancelled my appointments. When I got there they said there was no way they could look at my vehicle and they were 3 weeks behind. The Service Manager was extremely rude and defensive about it. I had a real scheduled appointment for Nov. 2 with a loaner. When that time came they told me that they didn't have my name on the appointment book and they didn't have any openings. My Land Rover is still sitting un fixed with no answers and nobody wants to help. Very Poor Service. read more

bold face liars work here. dropped my landrover off for service and before the technician even looked at the car Bryce put in a claim to my powertrain warranty claiming we drove it for an extended period of time without fluid in the cooling system and dropped it off that way. and yet they drove it around their lot repeatedly. managers have lied to us stating it was not covered, but I found out it is not being covered because of what Bryce said. they tried to talk us into trading it in instead of fixing it or pay $35000 to have a new engine installed. managers supposedly looked into it and still stated it was not covered. when we call powertrain warranty they state it is covered and claim is denied due to what was reported by Bryce who must be psychic because before he put all this in the claim he jad not talked to us or had a technician look at the vehicle. read more

I had an issue with a CPO Range Rover purchased recently and had some issues with the front tires. My expectation, and readiness was for a "go at it" approach to resolve the issue. Amazingly and very pleasantly the situation was taken care of with care and regard for my family which says the most about the dealership. Not all can buy cars at Wilde but if you can, I would suggest purchasing there...best service I have had EVER from a dealership!
