What I got : Build your own Water (So I tried two of the sauces the honey chili aioli taste good but the spice is so overpowering it instantly burns and ruin the good flavor but I'm a white girl so take that as you will haha and the scallion sauce and that was super yummy so I went with that one ) Build your own bowl: I got shrimp, corn, purple cabbage , zucchini and mushroom with the scallion sauce What I will start off with is that this cost me about $16 I got a water so I'm not sure if the soda cost more though, but they give you a good amount of food and considering they have shrimp for that low of a price you don't really see that often. Everything tasted great. I love the toppings. I think next time I'll just ask for extra sauce because it was a little bit dry which goes on my only con about it, which would be that the rice is dry and crunchy a bit in some parts and then that this is in a mall because I don't really have the time to come and park and walk all the way inside a mall just to eat this food. I wish this was not here because I would probably go here maybe once a week or at least once a month because of how much I did enjoy it it's just I don't really wanna have to go inside the mall to get it. but other than that, I think this is a great alternative to chipotle if you like Asian flavors more this place was super yummy

Got to try the popcorn chicken bowl and it was amazing

Dad and I were looking for a place to eat and were deciding between Black Bear Dinner or Ah-So. We…read morehaven't been to Ah-So since my birthday many years ago over in Northterra. So we decided on Ah-So and so blown away. First we were greeted and got to pick where ever we wanted to sit which was great, but we didn't expect the stream with Fish!! It was so cool to see that! We loved it. We always love seeing an attraction like this so it already bumped it up. Secondly I havent been into any Miso soups lately no matter where I have gone, it just hasn't done it for me. This changed today. I enjoyed and loved the taste of the tofu behind my combo meal, Dad also got one. I got the Chicken Katsu and Dad got the Teriyaki Chicken combo. We hadn't expected the miso soup to be added to it so that was a plus. The food was amazing! Dad loved the grilled taste and how the vegetables were grilled with the chicken and you could taste it. I loved the tempura and the crunch of the Katsu. All in all amazing. Something we really loved was the fact that it feels comfortable here. The set up of the restaurant made us so relaxed and it didn't feel too modern or pretentious it just was perfect like going to the local Japanese place in Japan. Highly highly recommend. The lunch combos were also all 18 bucks even on weekends! We will be back to try the teppanyaki and the teriyaki salmon when we are able.

Garlic butter I felt is a must in hibachi. I think that was the only thing that was missing in this food. But overall I would be back. This place is pretty expensive but I feel the amount of food they give you is worth it.

Service was pretty standard, no fake pleasantries but not rude at all. We both got the Tonkatsu ramen combo with a drink and 2 dumplings. Mini got hers without green onion, I had mine with green onion. Dumplings were deep fried, tasted pretty basic. But it's not like they said they handmade them so it was as expected. The ramen was a little salty, but the soup was very flavorful with nice depth. Definitely would eat it again. It had pork which was okay, not tough but nothing remarkable. The noodles tasted pretty good, not over cooked with a decent chew to it. It came with corn and a soft boiled egg. The soft boiled egg was so good I should have ordered extra. It was cooked exactly how you'd want it to be for your bowl of ramen. The place was pretty good, I'd definitely come back again and try new items. It closes at 8 but I guess they stop ordered at 7:15, so don't try to stop in super late. Also, the parking lot has signs that say no backing in. That's how I like to park so I parked nearby. It's located within a large parking lot, so it doesn't look like parking would be tough unless the church and restaurant parking nearby are also full.

The restaurant itself is definitely on the smaller side but they also have outdoor dining as an option. This is what one would call a hidden gem because we were definitely not disappointed as we were walking away. Once you sit down you'll realize that this is a restaurant where you're having several random servers taking care of you. So once we finally decided on our choices everything came out fairly quickly even with there being a half full restaurant. We started with some pork gyozas which is one of my husband's favorites & he was happily pleased... they were very fresh. We also had some of the tempura shrimp & onion which were both perfectly cooked without being greasy. As for the sushi we went with the shrimp tempura roll which was some of the best, the rice was cooked perfect plus everything was balanced just right. Then we also had the spider roll which I just loved because I love soft shell crab... OMG with the avocado & cream cheese, there were zero complaints on my end! Overall everything that we chose was so delicious that we've since been back to grab take away from here when we're craving some fresh sushi!

May stop in the future to give it another shot and try something different. Waiter was nice and quick though :)

We booked a reservation for a large group requiring two hibachi tables/chefs at Ah-So Sushi & Steak…read morein Peoria on a Monday evening. The restaurant wasn't busy at all with plenty of open tables and no crowds so we were surprised and disappointed when the hostess refused to seat us until every single member of our party had arrived, even though we had a confirmed reservation. A few people were running slightly late, but holding the entire group and two full hibachi setups felt overly rigid, especially on a quiet weekday. Their policy appears to allow only a short grace period, I've since seen mentions of about 10 minutes for the full party, but this wasn't clearly communicated upfront when we reserved, and it led to unnecessary waiting in the lobby. Once everyone finally arrived and we were seated, the initial service was strong: our waiter was attentive, quickly took drink and appetizer orders, and brought everything out promptly. The appetizers and drinks were solid, and the vibe of the hibachi tables is always fun with the flames, knife tricks, and chef performance. However, things went downhill from there due to the split tables. One table's group was seated and ready about 20 minutes before the second table. One chef started their full performance and cooking sequence early, while the other table waited and waited for their chef to begin. It created an awkward imbalance: half the party was eating hot food and enjoying the show while the other half sat hungry, watching from across the way. It would have been much better if the restaurant had coordinated the chefs to start simultaneously or at least closer together, especially since they knew it was one large reservation. The food itself was good standard hibachi fare with fresh ingredients, flavorful sauces, and generous portions but the uneven timing detracted from the overall enjoyment for our group. We were hoping for a cohesive, celebratory experience, but the logistics made it feel disjointed. Overall, the food and early service get points, but the strict seating policy on a slow night and lack of coordination for split hibachi tables left us frustrated. I'd think twice about bringing a big group here again unless you're okay with potential delays
