My experience with Jason from Jaid Appliance was absolutely amazing! I manage a vacation rental property in Corona del Mar and we had an emergency issue with the refrigerator on the property. Jason was extremely responsive, courteous, helpful and truly wonderful to help us through the issue. Since I manage the property remotely from out of town, it was such a pleasure being able to work with Jason to get everything we needed fixed before our next guests arrived. The property owner was very happy with the fix as well as the fair pricing. He even gave us advice on how to avoid the issue again in the future. Since the refrigerator/freezer is empty for long periods of time between rentals, it can lead to the problem that we had. I was so happy to find such a reliable and responsive company to be able to use in the future for any issues we may have on this property. JAID was recommended by Ross Mgmt our repipe project management company last Fall. I used Jason to move my built-in fridge in & out during the repipe project and had him replace an old water line. My neighbor used him as well for the same. In addition, my neighbor was going to use him to buy a new high-end built-in refrigerator. Unfortunately, Jason the owner of JAID gave my neighbor the run-around for one entire year with one excuse after another. I hope my neighbor finally got his deposit back. Jason more than made up for having to miss the original appointment due to illness. He ended charging 1/3 of what was quoted by one of the other top rated appliance repair guys on Yelp that came by due to the urgency of the repair. They wanted to overcharge, but it's an old fridge so I only paid for the service visit. Jason reached out to see if I was still interested and quoted over the phone a very reasonable price. He came by, completed the repairs and explained exactly what he was going to replace. This was for a Samsung refrigerator, the repair took 30mins and the final charge was even less. Awesome. Once again fellow Yelp readers! JAID APPLIANCE IS UNPROFESSIONAL taking jabs at a willing paying customer. Including a possible fabricated 5 star review . And to include my number was known because how else would I have sent my address (he requested I send my address via text which is normal for repair work). I still needed my refrigerator repair so I called another repairmen the same day. The appointment was made for the next day sent address via text appointment verified. The repairmen show and did his diagnoses of fridge I was quoted almost 80% less then Jaid Appliance and the part was not the part that Jaid appliance said it was. The repairmen had the part took him 15 min total to fix. Fridge working like new. hmmm ? Make second thoughts on Jaids pricing. On top of that ordeal he is not acknowledging a customer dissatisfaction( privately ) because he said he does not accept texts of any kind because he is a business? Ok? When has a SMALL business not take business texts that he initialized in the beginning with the address? He your typical crook in overpricing . Unprofessional drama filled company. Awful experience. He fixed one problem with our refrigerator, but said he needed to get a new part to fix another problem. After taking a $137 deposit, he essentially disappeared. For weeks, we kept chasing after him by phone to try to get him to finish the repair only to hear one excuse after another..."they sent the wrong part", "the part they sent was broken", and so on. After a few months, he showed up one more time (without the replacement part) to look at the fridge and promise to return which, of course, he never did, nor did he return the deposit. USE AT OWN RISK At first, he was fine, I need a refrigerator moved and then replaced. He said if I paid in advance he would put me on a priority list and come move it back in place within an hour. From what I know about him now Im really surprised he came back at all. He did come back in 2 days. That's when it got bad. There was a part to the refrigerator missing. He said he would order it and come back. A few days later we called him, he did have the part and he would be out that day. That went on for 10 days. We would call. He would say he was coming that day, never show up. 10 DAYS STRAIT. The amazing part is he kept answering the phone and kept lying to us. Message to all: Jason with Jaid Appliance is 100% Legit. My washer broke down on Christmas Day and he returned my call the same day and was at my house the very next day. Jason quickly diagnosed the issue with my washer and was completely transparent in telling me that I was better off getting a new one vs. having it fixed by him. I needed someone for my refrigerator/ freezer fast...things were defrosting in freezer and I was leaving to go out of town again. I Googled appliance repair in Dana Point and like what I saw there about Jaid. I called and Jason said he'd be by at day's end. He stayed in touch via text and even let me know when he was 15min away. He discerned that the problem only stemmed from my having left the freezer door ajar while I was gone for a couple of days. He pulled the refrigerator out and checked the entire refrigerator. I was only charged a very fair service charge. Yet again, Jaid Appliance repair has come to my rescue! When other people have said "rip it out and replace" he is super chill, honest, and fixes my old stuff perfectly. He explains all your choices, between buying new and fixing old, and he will either install your new appliance, or fix your old (usually for much less), and doesn't seem to mind making less money for being honest. I can't remember when I've trusted someone so much. He has been to my sister's, my ex-husband's, and my neighbors, we all trust and appreciate him. The service provided by Jason was HORRIBLE. Jason charged me for repairs to my washer and dryer which lasted for a few days. Afterwards, they broke down again. His receipt says a one year guarantee, but Jason never returned to honor it. Jason then said he would refund my money 3 months ago. I am still waiting for the refund. Jason removed parts from my washer that worked fine, and seemed as if he HAD NO CLUE AS TO WHAT HE WAS DOING!!!! He was rude on the phone and ripped me off. we have a 2 year old Kitchenaid side by side refrigerator which starting leaking due to ice build up in the bottom of the freezer. I hesitated to call Kitchen aid as our last experience was not so pleasant- so I tried YELP and found great reviews on Jaid Appliance and thought I would try this company. Jason owns the company and answered right away and made an appt. to come the following day. He arrived on time, confirmed the appt. and knew exactly what was wrong and fixed it for a very reasonable price. He came on a Sunday and told us it could be 2 days until he could get the part (pulley) but instead was at our house the next night. He was quick and showed us what he fixed. Called Jaid appliances to repair our refrigerator, they came out , supposedly repaired the problem, and were paid. A week later , the same problem arose. We called to ask them to come back out to fix the leak and were told on several occasions that they would be out, but never showed up. We finally gave up and called another company. Even though we had to pay again, we could not continue to wait for a company that promises to show up and never does. read more

Jason was a great find! I purchased some high end appliances on sale that were out of box buys. When I got them home I had a couple issues and luckily a friend recommended that I call Jaid Appliance. Jason not only knew the equipment very well and was able to solve several of the issues but also helped me order a part that was missing. He even came back and put it on for me. September 16th I called Jason to come fix my dishwasher. He had to order a part and I paid him $148 in advance. I didn't hear from him on the date expected and reached out. Finally he received the part. He put the part in, yet it was dysfunctional. He said he would re-order the part, then said the part was on back order due to the remanufacture of a part redesign of the part was the nest excuse. I had a time set. I was home, he said his employee came waited and left. He then got a replacement part from a local shop. He installed it and said he was going to replace an additional part. He was to return that night and would clean the dishwasher with vinegar. He was appreciative of my patience. But he did not return, only to tell me his truck was hit and he had no transportation. I wanted to ask why he does not send the "employee". But he offered me a refund, and asked me to send him a text regarding my name and address. He is a nice guy .. but has unique excuses. And I was overly patient. If I do not get a refund I am going to have to play all his messages in small claims court. SAD read more

Jason text my mom the day after I posted the review saying he would refund $30, but as I suspect, we have still not received after a month. What's more troublesome, I have confirmed that Jason is not trustworthy from few questionable signs while working with him. 1. In his text, he mentioned that the oven was broken by the tenant and the wires were pulled out when he arrived. However, he clearly said otherwise when I was arguing with my tenant's manager when issue occurs'. During the argument, Jason told the tenant's manager the oven was simply too old so I couldn't get the manager to be responsible for the damage. Jason just told difference story base on his convenience. 2. Which reminds me while he was visiting for the oven problem, There was another problem with dishwasher that I knew exactly what's wrong. When I installed the dishwasher, I forgot to open a hole on the garbage disposal so the water doesn't go out. However, my mom still showed it to Jason just to see if he could find anything. Instead of looking at the real problem, Jason told my mom that the dishwasher was broken and need few hundreds to fix it. He did not understand the problem yet he was trying to charge for fixing a non-existing problem. Coincidentally, the dishwasher was broken the second time when he visited the site before my mom arrived. When my mom asked him what happened, he just told my mom that "Power cord" was removed by the tenant. We later found out the power cord was still on the unit. Jason again told a fake story when he clearly didn't have any idea about the appliance. 3. When Jason came to the site, there was a gas leak problem. Jason "helped" to shut off the gas, but clearly he didn't know what he was doing. He just left the site and the gas continue to leak. We had to call the Gas Company to come. All the gas company guy did was to turn on the Master switch and set the gas stove swttch to correct location. Jason again shows his incompetency to make basic appliance work. In summary, Jason is very unprofessional, does not have knowledge to perform basic appliance work, make up stories based on his convenience, and will take your money even he didn't do anything useful. read more

Jason did a great job for us in repairing our oven. An issue came up soon after he fixed it and he stood by his work. He came back the next day and corrected the problem with no additional charge. He actually refunded the cost of a part that he tried to use but could not because of rust build up in the oven. I highly recommend Jason...he is knowledgable, honest and respectful. read more

I recently had my Kenmore stainless steel 2 door refrigerator stop working on a Sunday. There was power going to the refrigerator but it was not cooling. So I search on Google for appliance repair in Dana Point. That's where I found them. I called them and to my surprise Sunday morning 9 a.m. Jay answered. I was expecting an answering service or someone to return my call Monday morning but there he was on the phone. I explained to Jay the problem with my refrigerator. He immediately said he could come over to have a look at it. I asked what were the cost associated with that. He said it would be a service fee of only $29 but if I had him fix it it would be waived. I then explained to him exactly the problem with the fridge and he said he was very sure the problem was with the motherboard. It would need to be replaced. He said he would source the part on Monday and quote me a price for the replacement of the motherboard. If I was ok with that then he would order it and come on Monday and install it for me. Surely Monday morning 8:30 a.m. he called me and quoted me a price and told me he could be in at noon to fix the fridge. I agreed. Since he was done early he came at 11 a.m. to look at the fridge. He started to undo the thermostat and all of a sudden the fridge kicked in. He told me it is Cooling and to leave it on for 24 hours and see. He said I do not need to replace anything as it is working. He even assured me he would call me at 5 p.m. that day to see how the fridge was doing. He called me at 5 p.m. to check on the fridge. I told him that it was working. He thanked me and then didn't charge me anything for his service. I would recommend him for his good ethics and professionalism to any and everybody. read more
