For the customer service my rating is 5/5, Kevin was amazing. The cocktail I had, Bullet Old Fashioned, was really good. They gave me the extra cherries I asked for!.. starter paneer tikka was good. Paneer makhani was ok. The veg biryani was not to our liking, something about the kind of rice grain used or that it's a tawa biryani and not dum; but Kevin was amazing. He asked how we were liking the food, and when we mentioned the issue, was nice enough to take it off our bill. Really loved the butter naan and tandoori Roti, 5/5. Veg jalfrezi was not good. Ras malai was ok. The plain rice that came with the curries were really good, my toddler had a lot of that. Masala chai was more of a cardamom chai, too much cardamom. What an amazing restaurant! As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with an aroma of heavenly, buttery, curry goodness. We got the Butter Goat, Chicken Biryani, Goat Sukka, Chicken Tandoori, Samosas, and several orders of naan. Butter Goat - incredibly tender meat! I want this sauce in an IV. Chicken Biryani - this, to me, is the ultimate comfort food. Goat Sukka - admittedly this is my first time trying this dish ever. Though it was flavorful, I'm not sure I'd order it again. It was still good, just not my favorite. Chicken Tandoori - arrived on a sizzling plate and made everyone salivate at the table. Samosas - we got this as an appetizer before the rest of the food came, and honestly I was super full after eating this with all the naan. We probably didn't need to order all the other entrees but how could we resist! Naan - so buttery, so garlicky, so soft and comforting, Mango Lassi - this would be a perfect refreshing summer drink/smoothie. Masala iced chai - has a strong taste of spices, which at first sip I thought was cinnamon but I think it's more like cloves. Really delish! Overall, the food was excellent! Oh it's worth noting that bc we have littles sharing food, we couldn't really get anything spicy. As an Asian, I would've loved to have eaten the food with a full blown authentic Indian spiciness. Anyway, the portions are ginormous. Even if we hadn't gotten appetizers, we couldn't gotten away with sharing just 2 entrees honestly (party of 2 adults, 3 littles) with how big the portions were. We have a ton of leftovers. The restaurant itself is clean, the servers are extremely nice and helpful. Honestly the nicest I've ever come across in the restaurant industry. Thoroughly enjoyed coming here and will definitely come back! If you're looking for authentic Indian, this is it. Fusion and food trucks have their place in ATX but there's definitely a shortage of truly authentic Asian cuisine which I'm always on the hunt for. Excited for the south side to get a good Indian restaurant. Came on a Friday afternoon and they weren't busy. Sabrina was our very attentive server who gave us recommendations. Oh and she has gorgeous hues on her eyes so you can't miss her! Located next to Pho With Us in Soutpark Meadows. They do have Happy Hour from M-TR from 3-6 and then 8-11pm. A decent list of alcoholic choices. Try the Passion Fruit Martini...yum! Everything we tried here was absolutely delish! Lamb Tikka, Lamb Vindaloo, Chicken Tandoori, was all amazing. I started with the veggie samosa, then had garlic naan with the grilled shrimp plate (Ajwaini Jhinga), which arrived on a sizzling plate... but the plate base was wrapped in um... foil? Whateves, I was never much for presentation as long as the food was good, but alas, it was just ok. The garlic naan was neither particularly garlicky or buttery. And the shrimp was very bland, and I had to doctor it up with the tamarind sauce, cilantro (asked for a side), and the hot green sauce thing that came with the samosas. Everyone on our Friday night get out was craving Indian and most the places in and near downtown weren't open late or didn't have dine in, so we ended up at this place way out south. I must say that it wasn't quite the sit down restaurant we were looking for because it seemed to be lacking much authenticity in the environment, but turned out pretty good! We were seated right away and out waitress was quick to bring out drinks and appetizers. Our food took quite some time, but we were able to hold off. I ended up going with a salmon Tikka dish and an onion and paneer naan bread. When the items came out I was a bit worried that it wouldn't be much food, but I was very content afterwards as I was pretty full. The food was pretty great and the yogurt went fantastic with the Tikka sauce! One thing that I didn't like was that the table automatically had 20% tip included, which I know some places have, but none of us saw that anywhere on the menu so it was a bit annoying considering service was very ordinary, and if anything a bit slow. Let's start with the food. The Aloo Paratha was a great appetizer and the pistachio/coconut naan was amazing. We had many dishes for the entree and they were all good. Just keep in mind that the medium is very spicy. Even the mild was spicy and I usually can take spice very well. The sizzling meat bowls looked so good, I wish I had gotten that. The service. All I have to say is wow. If they were in it for the good review, they sold me. We got dessert and an appetizer on the house and the waitress took the time to explain everything to us. The korma was like warm baby food, super bland and not at all the flavorful dish you'd expect. The vindaloo was ok (the few bites I choked down despite the spice, because I freaking love vindaloo). My husband and I had lunch here today for the first time. It was absolutely delicious! He ordered chicken tikki masala. I had the saag paneer and we split our entrees. Our food was brought out piping hot and perfectly seasoned. It was truly the best Indian food we've experienced since moving to the Austin area 6 years ago and we are regulars at a couple of Austin's Indian restuarants. Well, I will start with the few negatives first. They are closed right now between lunch and dinner which is not published anywhere I could find. Dinner starts at 3:30. Also, it is only open for take-out and not dine- in (also not clear before arrival). So with having to wait an hour for them to open back up, we were hoping the food would be good. Guess what?! It WAS good! We love Indian cuisine and have tried a lot of the local places...this is by far the best we have had in Texas. The dishes were all flavorful and authentic. Last night, my husband and I decided to grab dinner at Jaipur Palace, and we're glad we did! We ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer to share, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan. Our main courses were served in the cutest metal bowls. Everything was absolutely delicious - probably the best garlic naan we've ever had. The service was fast and friendly. The spiciness of the dishes can be chosen, and they range from mild to Indian spicy.1 I've never had butter chicken so I wanted to compare her dish with mine. The butter chicken is a bit sweeter than the chicken tikka masala. Personally, I enjoyed mine more, though both dishes were really good. Each one was served with rice. We also ordered garlic and plain naan. They were both really fresh and the garlic naan actually had pieces of garlic on it. I was honestly planning on having kheer but I was so stuffed from eating my dinner that I had to pass. Maybe next time I'll save room for dessert. This restaurant is pretty cool because it has an fully stocked bar. I don't think I've ever seen an Indian restaurant with that feature so it was cool. Wanting to find a place for lunch in Buda, we stumbled onto this wonderful Indian restaurant. They have dining in options with barriers between booths to help keep families socially distanced. We had the place basically to ourselves. They were very accommodating for our infant, providing a high chair and a plastic ware and a water cup with a straw.
