Just got through hiking at Pernadales State Park and this hit the spot. Located in a nice little area with outdoor seating. This place was delicious! Ordered the Paneer Butter Masala, garlic naan bread and mango lassis. Everything was amazing. The family that runs it seems very nice and you'll see different types of customers pick up food or eat there. It was nice to see how many regulars come there. Shows they are a local staple here and now understand why this place is highly rated on Yelp. If I'm ever in Austin again, I will definitely come back! :)

Ordered chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Pretty tasty but a tad salty for my liking. Friendly owners!

The chicken tikka tacos were absolutely amazing! The naan bread was a perfect addition to the amazing butter chicken. My dad said "I loved everything.", so the praise for this place was high. A nice little gem of a food truck fin Austin. If you go definitely order the chicken tikka tacos and the butter chicken! If you're feeling something sweet get the mango lassi too!

Here's the sign outside you can see from the street with the number to call in your order.

I'm so happy to have discovered this Indian restaurant. Yes it's a food truck but so much more with tasty food with goodly sized portions. Reasonable prices and a quaint place to eat. They offer inside dining or outside at the tables with umbrellas or takeaway. You can call ahead and order if you'd like to pick it up but I ordered in person and it was a short wait. The nice man even brought it out to my car which was super sweet. There's parking in front and across the little one way street. It's off 1626 but on the side street to cut over past the railroad tracks. For just about $20 I got an appetizer of samosas and an entree of saag paneer with rice. Everything was delicious. I'll be back now that I know it's there and so good.

Wow...I was pleasantly surprised by this food truck. They do offer outdoor seating, but I got my food to-go. The tikka masala platter was DELICIOUS! The chicken was tender and the creamed spinach had a great flavor. I'd definitely recommend. I waited less than 10 minutes for the food and it was packed well. We'll be back!

Y'all need to check out Curry Express!! Highly recommend and recommend ordering ahead. We have gone here twice now and BOTH times the food has been amazing. Even passed the "warm-up the next day" delicious test. The samosas are a tad bit spicy which I absolutely love! The platters are the way to go to try more than one thing. There is outside and inside seating but most folks pickup to go. The staff is very nice and attentive. If you have any questions they are glad to answer.

This is the best Indian food in South Austin. Authentic and delicious. Even the rice has an authentic flavor, not the normal, bland basmati fare typically offered by average restaurants. We had paneer butter masala, chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo and chicken chili. The chicken tikka masala sauce is absolutely the best in Austin and possibly the best item on offer. Get it. Vindaloo sauce is magnificent, although I will warn you it is spicy. Adjust the spice level accordingly if you struggle with high heat. Sweat, runny nose, watery eyes, you'll fight through all of it to clean the bowl. Lamb or chicken, you can't go wrong. My vegetarian friend was delighted with the paneer butter masala. Highly recommend this joint to scratch your Indian itch. Rice pudding is top shelf and helps cool the fire. This is a trailer with plenty of seating out front. We get carry out. Everything packaged well to avoid accidents. Call ahead of you're taking it home.

We ordered the goat biryani, Maharaja Punjabi Dal and Baigan Bharta with a tandoori roti. Each of these dishes were delicious! Both came with fresh white basmati rice. When I walked into Tandoori Lounge, I was immediately transported back to my time in India. The atmosphere is sultry and seductive. You are drawn in my the dimly lit restaurant with warm soothing colors. You hear this soft intoxicating music as you take in these tiny table lamps. We were all in! I met a Yelp friend for dinner that I had not seen for quite some time. It was great catching up! As you walked in, you could smell a hint of the aroma of spices coming from the kitchen. Is it possible that everything you eat or drink is exceptional? Can service be at the highest possible level? Yes and Yes! We ordered the onion kulcha and garlic naan as appetizers. They were fresh, hot, soft and super flavorful. You could taste the onions in the kulcha and the garlic was pronounced in the garlic naan. We both ordered the lamb/goat marsala (medium for me and mild for my friend). The entrée was an explosion of flavors in your mouth...so good! The entrée was rich and enjoyable to eat without being heavy. It came with basmati rice where the kernels did not stick to each other. The rice was airy and fluffy. My friend ordered an Indian beer. When in India, Indian beer is a staple. I ordered a lemon drop martini. This was the best martini I have had in a very long time. Shamu, the bartender, came over to our table to explain what other martinis he could make that were not on the menu. The Lemon Drop martini was ice cold (loved that), smooth and perfectly blended. Shamu said that the glass was first chilled before the martini was poured. Drinking narvana... Riya, our server, was so sweet and kind. She was meticulous in serving our table - water constantly refilled, lemons delivered and food strategically placed on the table. Riya suggested our entrée as the most popular dish. We absolutely understand why. I am not sure why we have never eaten at Tandoori. I definitely will be returning when I am back in the South part of the city.
