I decided on the Hot and sour soup and wasn't disappointed. It came with crispy wonton noodles. The soup was sour and hot just like the name implies. Finally stopped in to try this new spot, and I am glad we did. Incredible quality Chinese dishes, some of which I have rarely seen available elsewhere in Corpus Christi. For example, the mapo tofu, a silky tofu in a spicy sauce - uniquely spicy in that it really caused my mouth to tingle more than burn - was a real discovery for me. Even the "popcorn chicken" was unlike any I have had before, with both white and dark meat and a salt and pepper coating. To top it off, the service was warm and inviting, making it easy to already think about making a return trip. Food is always excellent and this is my favorite restaurant in CC ever since my son got us food there. Usually order delivery and it always is very fast and average is just under 20 minutes! They give you a lot of food and I never finish entire meal but excellent leftover and always happy to open fridge and see leftovers from JaJa Very reasonable prices especially for the amount of food you get! I got the General Tso's chicken and it was pretty good. Food came out hot and fresh. The chicken wasn't overcooked and dry. I recommend trying the jaja sauce if you are a garlic fan, it's not spicy. This place is wonderful! My whole family (myself, husband, and 3 sons (11,9, & 5) ) absolutely loved everything. The portions are enough for two, but I suggest getting at least two dinner dishes and eating family style, so you can try a couple of dishes. The crab Rangoon was delicious and fried just right! My kids shared a plate of shrimp fried rice and we still had some leftover. For entrees we had the teriyaki chicken, general Tso's chicken, and Kung pao chicken. Each came with an egg roll, which were also delicious. My only complaint is the way the food is served. Servers take plate right off the window and deliver them one by one. This guarantees the food is hot and fresh, but it's also easy to overlook a plate on the order. That happened to us, so we got that plate to go. The Pros: The place is very clean and the food is plentiful. Great place to have a small visit or a cozy meal. The place is not too large and you can talk to one another without being blown away with loud music or people trying to talk above one another. You might pay slightly more here, but the portion size makes up for it. The food tasted good, but I have had better. The Cons: This place is a counter order/self serve kind of place. There is no wait staff to provide you with that restaurant quality you expect. It would not be so much of a problem, except the employees were goofing off with nothing to do. The food lacked really genuine flavor. You can taste the garlic, but that was about it. Usually you can taste ginger, a little rice wine vinegar etc..., but like I said before it was good just not quite there yet. The egg rolls were thick wrappers. I really prefer the thin crunchy ones. The dumpling dough was too thick and the dipping sauce was lacking something. I still recommend it, because the food was good and plentiful, just not what I am use to. read more

The best part of our visit there was the unusual and very welcoming treatment from the customer service they deliver. I forgot to take pictures. I definitely will next time.
