    Here is the verbal agreement

This place is corrupt, please read so it doesn't happen to you, I will be contacting an attorney over this matter, I am currently going through a trial in life a chapter 13, after going to a few car lots I decided I was going to bring my business here, my salesman was an angel a very godly man and did everything he could to help me, they don't deserve him as an employees to be honest, so during a chapter 13 you have to get an approval letter from your trustee and their is a process but fairly fast process you just have to follow the steps that you agreed to, which I am changing my life so I have no issues following the rules what so ever, that's life, well long story short my salesman was going to be off from Thursday- Monday, he had to attend some marriage retreat or something I believe in that matter and he advised me that he sent the purchase agreement to me and my attorney before he left which he did yesterday, he advised me to come test drive the Camaro on Saturday and to ask for James Stanton/Sales Manager... and also advised me James is off on Fridays, so I was so excited and knew I was going to love this car so I went the following day which is today on Thursday I drove 45 mins after work just to be treated like total trash, I pulled up and someone was test driving the car and I heard them say we love and we will take it literally as soon as I pulled up to test drive it, so I went inside and said hey my salesman is out until Monday, however that Camaro was supposed to have a sold sign on it, he said oh it did I am not sure what's going on let me check, so after checking he sent his Manager James Staton out and he came out and said hey I can't hold cars, I said I understand that but I thought we made an agreement? he made me feel like I was a second class citizen and like scum on the inside, basically he was telling me without telling me that I am less than because we had to maybe wait a few days for the approval letter and he was selling it, as a customer I didn't matter and neither did their word as a business nor did their promises because I couldn't just purchase it right then, but they had my word, but their word was no good nor was their verbal and written words, because we made an agreement to wait for an approval letter, so they told me to stick around to make sure the other customers are not buying it which they purchased it, not the customers fault they probably had no clue, so I stood around waiting feeling publicly humiliated, so when I was leaving I let the other salesman know that helped me as soon as I walked in the door upon arriving, I was like this is disgraceful and disrespectful behavior, he said I totally agree with you. this is wrong, I literally have a text message and I will post the screenshot below I was promised verbally & written- I will be contacting an attorney this was humiliating bottom line and disrespectful and wrong, and I will not be treated or degraded like this as an individual, terrible and bad business practices, I wish this on no one, it would have been one thing if they said hey the car might be gone by the time this process goes through, but we can work out a similar deal, but however they did not, please read the messages for yourself, they made a promise, by calling me and also written. Just wrong on so many levels. Here is just a small summary of the laws, thank god for messages and thank god for laws that don't tolerate this behavior-- Yes, you could potentially face legal trouble for verbally promising someone a car and then selling it, as a verbal agreement can be considered a contract, and breaching it could lead to a lawsuit I will be contacting the better business bureau as well! I sure hope this was worth treating someone like total scum and publicly humiliating me and also not sticking with your written words and also verbal words, disgusting behavior and bad business practices.

One of the most corrupt parts of our system is company's like this gouging and lying to its customers.

Nothing can be more disgusting than an American company doing business and gouging it's long time customers with Chinese crap and charging 500% markup. Literally says genuine GM parts what a f*ing lie!!! If i wasnt in such a predicament where I needed this stupid bolt I would never given them my money. NO one should ever support this thievery. They charged me 25$ for this one bolt. DON'T ever go here if you can avoid it.

My husband and I have been shopping for a new SUV after totaling our suv. We have been planning on trading in my car and moving forward with buying a new or used SUV. The afternoon of 4/11/24 I saw a Suburban online at Jake Sweeney Chevrolet that I was interested in. My husband called and they said to call back, after 2 on 4/12/24, as the vehicle was being serviced. My husband then calls the sales person the following day (4/12/24) and told them we would be in after I was off work that evening. As we are getting ready to leave the house (4:15), the same gentlemen (David Shelton) calls and asks if we are on our way. We stated we would be there about 5, as it was almost an hour drive for us. Upon arrival, the guy comes up to us and states "Let's get this done and over with", at this point I look at my husband in complete shock, that he said that. I mentioned that we were planning on trading in my car, he then proceeds to roll his eyes. Again, I was just speechless. He asks that we pull our car around and meet him on the other side of the building, which we do. When we get out, he takes my car key, gets in my car to get the information, then meets us inside. When we got to his desk, he said "This is not going to be a good outcome". At this point, I was ready to leave, but my husband wanted to look at numbers as he knows I needed a new car. He starts asking questions about the amount I owe, if we can put any money down, then stated maybe we should try to look at a different car. We then tell him no, that we drove an hour to see about this suburban. He starts plugging things in and trying to, I guess do his job, but then realizes he lost the keys to my car. I just laughed as I could not believe this was happening. Once my keys were found and they were able to take it back to get an offer, the guy says "I hope you guys planned on putting quite a bit of money down." I said "Well we can put some money down, but we would like to see what we can figure out" He then states, which this was what did me in, "Honestly it's the end of the day and I am ready to get out of here, so maybe this just is not the right vehicle for you" I could not believe what was actually happening. Of course, after dealing with this, my husband was not happy with the way he was speaking to us and they exchanged a few words and we left. I was almost in tears, because I was just so frustrated and embarrassed that he spoke to us that way. We may be young, but we are probably better off than most people our age or even older. I could have easily went in there and paid cash for the suburban, but am dead set on trading in my car, as we don't need 3 vehicles between the two of us. I have never once had such an awful experience at a dealer. UPDATE: When the gentlemen was out looking at my car, he was using an umbrella. When my husband walked to the drivers side and was telling me goodbye today (4/13/24) he looked at the roof of my car and there is a large scratch and other scuffs from the guys umbrella! We have called, they asked us to send over the pictures, so we did and have yet heard back.

Worst service department in Cincinnati. If you didn't buy your car from them, they could care less, even on warranty and recall work.

I was thrilled and had them work up a "deal". They came back with a final price that included a bunch of extras some of which the sales manager said were nonnegotiable. I inquired about one of those and he couldn't even explain what the benefit was to the customer. Then to add more insult he appraised my trade in at $2500 when two other dealers offered $5000 more. He said the 4WD unit was out as the reason when I've been driving through heavy snow over the last 4 weeks. The final result was a price that was nearly $12,000 more than the advertised price and within $500 of the full MSRP for a leftover 2025 with $5000 in Ford rebates! These clowns don't know how to deal in good faith! BIG PASS on Kerry Ford!

Test drove a car and the brakes need to be replaced. Rotors included. The sales manager tried to tell us that it was the tires, and also tried to say that the rear brakes only engage about 20% of the time that that could not possibly be a problem. Also tried to tell us that the price that the vehicle is set at is considering the defects that need to be addressed. This is a safety issue. Do not buy a vehicle with a safety issue! It's quite evident they didn't care all they wanted to do was sell the car no thank you. Not worth the 90 minute drive to test drive.

Then when Abby checked me in she told me that it would be a 90 minute wait. I was a little surprised and told her that I had a 9:00 appoitment. She said that she knew but it would still be 90 minutes since they don't have an express lane like other dealers. I told her again that I was not looking for an express lane, that I had made an appoitment. She continued to insist it would be 90 minutes. I decided to wait because I had a coupon for almost 1/2 off of an oil change. At 9:45 they send me a video of my car on the lift. It still had the old filter on it so I am willing to bet my car with a 9:00 appointment sat there until 9:45 until they started working on it. My car was done at 9:10 which seemed like a reasonable amount of time for a car to get an oil change and inspection done. This again reaffirmed in my mind that my car sat 45 minutes before being worked on. Don't be fooled into thinking that having an appointment means that they are going to work on your car at that time. Don't be fooled into thinking that 4 or 5 service advisors standing at their desks doing nothing means one of them is going to call you over to work with you. I don't think I will be taking my car back there.

Found through cargurus.com that Jake Sweeney had a car i was interested in. I live in WV, and the dealership was in OH, so our entire business was conducted via phone and email. The car price was in context of other Hilanders i had seen per year/mileage. From the get-go the sales person, Jason Vaughn was communicative, and preemptively sent me a video walk through, showing the inside and outside of the car. He was very responsive and we were able to get a deal done via the phone. There weren't a bunch of random fees, the only additional thing was a protective coating they added to the car (~$300) and a doc processing fee (~$400), which, honestly i was fine with as i was expecting more in the way of random fees, having had that experience with other dealers. They also gave me a discount that essentially waived those fees. Jason pointed me in the direction of a reputable car transport company, which worked with our schedule to deliver our new car in about a week at a competitive price (around $700). The thing for me that makes this a 5 star rather than a 4 star review, was that post the sale, Jason continued to be communicative and help us. I had a title issue (needed it to be an OR title for me and my wife, but we received an AND) which Jason researched and let me know that it came down to state regs and OH didnt have OR titles. I also had questions about the protective coating they added and he went out and sent me pics of the bottle so i could see what washes / waxes / coatings were compatible. Overall my bar for used car dealers is pretty low, but Jason and Jake Sweeny made the process of finding and buying my car easy and smooth, and surprisingly, still were communicative post sale. Would recommend this place and Jason Vaughn specifically as a good person to work with.
