My husband had an appointment at 8 am and there was no one who came up to greet him or take his key. He had to chase someone down. I said good morning to a service rep and no response. I was asked to provide feedback from the dealership after a recent service... here it goes... I was told one hour, plus wash time for my service visit and over 2 and a half hours later I was asked if I wanted a wash, I had to pass. Given that, I was not likely to leave happy or want to return. I took the earliest appointment to avoid being stuck behind someone, the plan didn't work. Additionally the car had filth all over the dash from dirty hands that I had to work with goo gone to clean when I got home. I had a travel mug that was in the cup holder which was taken out and set up in the back seat. I realized this when I heard it fall over and run out wile driving. So no, not an experience that would make me want to return or recommend you. A 5 rating to their survey was as generous as I could be. While not happy, I would say there was staff that was friendly at the desk and concerned. read more

My wife took our car in for an oil change and an estimate to fix a couple of issues. They told us that our brake pads had zero friction material and were metal on metal (in writing). The also said we needed to service the front suspension to fix a noise coming from the steering. The total estimate was over $4000. We serviced both issues on our own for around $250 in parts and 2 hours of labor. It turned out that the brakes did not even need to be changed. There was over 60% of the life left on them. Do not go to this dealership. They push work that does not need to be completed and lie about the condition of the vehicle in order to inflate service charges. This is fraud. read more

Service department is the worst I have ever dealt with. I have a bad frm module on my car. Yes I can diagnose myself and am very familiar with many BMW models. I found there is an extended warranty on this particular module but thought I was out of that time frame. I quickly researched and found many places that could repair the module for $60 with a lifetime warrant. I was advised by a friend who is a certified bmw mechanic that I should call the dealership because many times they still cover this particular module. Sure enough I called and was told it was covered so I made an appointment and had a friend help me to deliver the car. I work crazy hours so this was a chore. Next morning get a text asking if I want to pay for diagnosing for a problem I already know I have and get an estimate on repair. I responded that the module is bad and told it's under warranty as told by their service representative. They responded that no it isn't covered bla bla bla. After a few back and forth text I just called them and of course started getting the runaround within the service department. They realized I was pissed and quickly stopped that but went on to explain their mistakes and had no problem telling me the price for a new module ($1,000 plus labor). I'm furious at this point explaining how my time has been wasted and I could have my current module fixed with a lifetime warranty for $60 but didn't because I was told by them it was covered. They couldn't give two shits about wasting my time and no resolution for their mistake. one response was "do you want us to leave the keys up front so you can pick up your car?" This is the second time I have been screwed by this service department. The first time was when I had them change an ignition coil that was bad the day I bought the car. I drove off the lot and before I got home it was sputtering. I ran codes myself and knew what it was and which one. They reluctantly did the repair but didn't last 3 months. I bought all new Bosch coils and when replacing I found the one they replaced. The BMW dealership put a friggin Autolite coil in my car. That is not oem for BMW and should be embarrassing because the dealership prides themselves on oem which is why their shit cost so much. This place is ridiculous and full of unprofessionalism. I'm done ranting for now but for sure I will never do any kind of business with them again... Ever!!! read more

We booked an appointment through the website and were assigned to a salesperson named Aatir Barlas. We arrived (55 minute drive) and stood around for 10-15 minutes as employees tried to find our salesperson. We eventually learned that the X5 hybrid we requested to test drive was not available despite the website indicating that there were two available and for sale. Our salesperson, Aatir, would not look at us and refused to speak to us. A different salesperson attempted to help by explaining that we could not test drive a car and could only show us a car that had already been sold. Very disappointed! I can't believe that I had such a bad experience with BMW. First they sent me a damaged car (even though sales man Jon assured me that it was in flawless condition after I pointed out what seemed to be a damage in the same exact spot on the picture ) and now they are refusing to pay for the repairs claiming that it was not them. And then instead of registering my car like I expected them to do, they sent me paperwork a month later and told me to register it myself, but now my temporary plates about to expire and next available appointment at dmv is in 5 weeks. So I can't even drive my new car. ( I bought cars out of state before and received license plates in the mail so I know that NJ rules was not an issue, but that is the reason the sales person gave me ) Unbelievable! I had a very odd experience with this place a few months ago and a minor but lingering sense of annoyance has stayed with me in the background since then, so I'm leaving this review in the hopes of exorcising the annoyance permanently. I bought a pre-owned BMW from this place back in 2013. The car-buying experience was fine, and the car was fine- a little finnicky, but that's a BMW, a little bit of wear and tear, but that's a used car. So that all went fine. I sold the car to a private third party in late 2016 as I no longer needed it. Fast forward to April 2019 and I get a voicemail from these guys telling me that they had a winter wheels/tire set for my car that had been in their "storage" since the time that I bought the car. I have no recollection of ever being made aware of the existence of the wheels and clearly they were not physically transferred to me at the time of the sale. I call them back and the person that answers the phone says they have no idea what I'm talking about. I explain that not ten minutes earlier somebody had left me a voicemail on the topic. Ohh, okay, maybe they know what this is all about. They tell me that somebody will call me back shortly. When the guy finally calls me back, he explains basically the same story as on the voicemail. I ask him what condition the wheels and tires are in and he says he doesn't know as he hasn't seen them. But basically they're moving to a new office or doing some renovations or something like that so I need to either come get them out of storage or give them title to them. He gives me a date that this needs to be accomplished by. At this point I'm a little vexed since it seems like they kept a set of winter wheels that technically belonged to me but never really turned them over to me. But a set of OEM wheels in any condition seems like a thing worth having, so better late than never, I guess? Problem: I now live in Hawaii and am not going to be back in Cincinnati prior to the pick-up deadline he gave me. Solution: I tell my parents, who still live in the area, that if they're willing to drive across town and pick up the wheels, they're theirs to keep and they can sell them on ebay or craigslist or whatever. I give them the pick-up deadline and they call the place to make arrangements to pick them up. They arrive at BMW Cincinnati North to pick up the wheels and are told that, oops, actually these wheels belong to one of the service managers and aren't mine to keep. The service manager is taking them out of storage back to his house. They thought they might be mine but turns out they aren't. So after several rounds of phone tag, me getting bothered during my work day and having to try and arrange pickup of wheels in Cincinnati from Hawaii, and my parents making the drive out to pick them up, all of the wasted time and effort was for nothing. On top of that, I don't particularly believe them; I think they assumed I would just say "whatever, throw the wheels away" and then when I unintentionally called their bluff by saying I would have somebody pick them up, all of a sudden the story about the wheels- which, again, they completely generated on their own, it wasn't like I called and asked about them- does a 180 and the set of winter wheels, whaddya know, is now the property of one of their employees. It was unprofessional and a huge waste of time, throwing a sour note onto the entire car-buying experience which up until that point had been alright. Enjoy the wheels, guys. read more

Terrible experience with this staff. Brought my 3 series in for a recall since they are known to catch on FIRE. So I bring it in after scheduling an appointment for 7:30am. I get there 7:20am before anyone else, I knock on the door and they see me standing at the door and make eye contact with the employees but they just ignore me. So I guess they won't even come to the door to let you know where you should go or do for a recall. 3 minutes before opening other customers and start pulling their cars up near the service door. I guess that's the protocol? Would have been nice to know that if they took the liberty to come to the door instead of making me stand there like a fool. Lost my place to 2 other people because I was unclear on what I needed to do. After that, they said the car will get done today. No update throughout the day. They said the car would be ready by 3 pm. I then get a text saying the car hasn't even been taken back and that it won't be ready today. So basically, I came in before everyone, but I was last to get service. On top of that, they didn't give me a rental. They said all their rental cars were out. Even though I was going to be without a car and even though I came before many people, I would not get a rental or any accommodation to get to work. They couldn't even call me a Lyft to take me to work and would have to commute at my own expense. Little was done to mitigate the situation and definitely felt like I wasn't getting treated as fairly. Maybe it's because I'm just there for a recall and not actually spending money? Well, guess I won't be spending money there in the future. I was told the car would be ready in the morning. It wasn't. Come to 3pm, car was JUST going in for service. So a day and a half later, I was just getting service. And then two hours later the car is ready to get picked up. That's the absurd part, it was a 2-3 hour job yet they wanted me to drop the car off at 7:30 am just to be told to wait a day and a half just to get service. No reimbursement for the $30 I spent on Ubers. Their excuse was "well, there's no charge on the service". Waited around 30 minutes to speak to a manager and kept brushing me off so I left. Long story short, if you need work done, avoid this place. Customer service is trash. Of course they'll gladly put you into a $80,000 car but if you need any service done, avoid it. While I can't say if I will be buying another BMW in the future, I can definitely say that I will be taking my business elsewhere. Went to look at an X3M. The sales rep had very little knowledge about the car. I knew more about the car than he did. They were asking too much money and would not budge even though the car had been driven. We were $1000 off in our negotiation and I walked away. I got a call a bit later offering me a car that had been in a fender bender for slightly less money... really? Um no thank you. I decided to buy an Alfa Romeo quadrifoglio. I will not go back or recommend that dealer. I do not trust them. read more

The only reason I am even giving this dealership a two star rating is because the car itself is reasonable (2017 X3). The service is where the dealership falls short. I recently put my car into the shop for an oil change and a list of about 8 or so other items. None of the other items were resolved (I am not even sure they were looked at) and the response I received, "we were not able to duplicate the issues". However, after resolving none of my realistic concerns (such as a windshield wipers that stop in mid-windshield and then eventually start going again), they were very happy to offer to sell me new tires, which I did not need. As one of the other reviews stated, my car came out of the shop much dirtier than when I put it in, to include grease spots on the interior. There is no Quality Assurance at this dealership. The dealership sells decent cars with a low end service dept. I do not recommend buying from this dealership. read more

I bought a 2018 X3 in Sept 2018 and it was the worse purchasing experience I've ever had. I felt immediate buyers remorse. If you are in the market to purchase an automobile, please be very cautious if you've decided to go with this BMW dealership. It might be best to avoid going to the dealership all together. I might also suggest leaving the dealership in the middle of negotiations if you feel their actions and words are not appropriate. (Unfortunately, I didn't do either actions. Unfortunately, I bought an SUV from them.) I wanted specific features and a certain price for my BMW X3. They only had a "demo" that best fit what I was looking for. This demo is basically a used car that hasn't been Titled to an owner. Meaning, it's still the property of the dealership. To be more precise, it had 3,400 miles the day I test drove this "new" car because they loan the vehicle to people. It also had chipped-off paint on the door. Which was minor, yet very visible. And, scuff marks in the trunk space. In short, "demos" are what I would consider a used car, with a "new" car price tag. Pretty deceptive. But, legal. Why I hated my experience: 1. My salesman told me he was "doing me a favor" by selling me a "demo" that he had to specifically pull out of Service for me. He was doing me a favor?? If this demo model was so precious to the dealership, they should have raised the price and therefore ensured that no one would buy it. But, that would defeat the purpose of running an auto dealership. 2. I had found my X3 for sale on their website. I had to request to see this vehicle. My salesman didn't find it for me. I did. He did nothing to help me find it. He actually wanted to sell me something $5,000-$10,000 more expensive. 3. During the process of getting a loan approved for my car, I had to fill in my yearly income. He looked at my income. Was very displeased with me (looked a bit angry) and said I might not be approved for the car with income that little. He had nothing short of arrogance to be that blunt and insulting. He then told me that he was going to walk away for a few minutes and while he was away, I needed to change my income. I needed to make it greater. He wanted me to lie so he could sell me a car. How unethical and self-centered. 4. The low APR I was given was also a "gift" from him. He told me. I'm certain that's a lie, though. The low APR has more to do with my very good credit history and large down payment for the auto. But, he wouldn't say anything like that to me. Otherwise, he wouldn't be able to keep up the lie that he was doing me a "great favor". 5. I also found my experience with the "finance" guy to be very strange. He was the one who prepares the final documents to be signed. He tried to sell me more packages to extend the warranty and such. He seemed a bit unsettled or disturbed that I wouldn't purchase any of it. I don't know why he seemed uneasy. I didn't like that experience. 6. My salesman also constantly requested that I give this purchasing experience 5 stars. I'm sure he has a reason for being persistent. But, I felt that would be an immensely great lie to give 5 stars. And, I certainly didn't think it was right to lie and benefit him in the process. 7. I had to wait far too long to have my questions and concerns remedied. I'm sure my salesman would have been happy to ignore me if he could, but I asked regularly about when I could bring my X3 in for repairs. I'm certain nothing would have been repaired if I hadn't asked regularly. How lazy and irresponsible. How unprofessional to want to ignore someone who spent almost $50,000 on a "used/demo" vehicle. 8. Over the next 2 months (after purchasing the vehicle), I had informed the dealership of my complaints with as much professionalism as I could. But, besides saying "sorry" and providing a rather amateur job at fixing the chipped paint, I felt the dealership didn't want to keep me as a customer. They only cared about selling cars. (And, maybe they were hoping I'd be foolish enough to bring my X3 in for service so as to make more money from me.) They just wanted me to buy an expensive car, go away and not complain any more. I expected a far better buying experience from a luxury brand auto dealer. Instead, I was insulted, lied to, pressured and strung along. I'll add that the 2018 X3 is a wonderful SUV. I went to all the major auto dealers: Mercedes, Porsche, Lexus, Audi and others. Still, I always came back to the 2018 X3. (The 2017 X3 was not worth considering compared to the 2018.) The 2018 is really wonderful. But, I would return the SUV in a second if I could because I don't think customers willing to pay $50,000 should be treated this way. I hated my buying experience. We had our vehicle towed to this dealership to replace a flat tire. Customer service is a joke! We had to continually reach out to them to find out the status of our vehicle. Car was dropped off early Monday morning. On day 2 (Tuesday) we learned the tire needed was on a truck that would not make it to their shop in time, we would have to get our car the next day (Wednesday). We asked them to change the oil, which they did. Our service rep asked if we were interested in a 3 year oil change program for $199.00- My husband CLEARLY said NO!!!! When we went to get the car we were shocked to see they had signed us up for the "Oil Change Program", against our approval, then told us they couldn't remove the charge as it was a contract!!!! Our rep was rude, and refused to admit that he made a mistake- we now have a 3 year oil change plan that we will NEVER EVER use DO NOT trust this dealership. What a scam they are running. read more

We took our BMW in for service at Sweeney BMW and ended up stranded five days later 300 miles away due to the Sweeney BMW technician not completing the service properly. When we asked for a refund the service manager denied responsibility even though the mistake was confirmed by the BMW dealership who fixed Sweeney's mistake. Had a very good experience when I got there, but .... I had made a service reservation nearly 2 weeks prior to my service date and chose that date in order to have a loaner car while my car was being serviced all day. Unfortunately there was no record of my appointment in their system. However, the service manager did an excellent job of getting my info into the system, making sure my car would be serviced that day and finding a loaner car for my use.
